Hillary strategist admits the truth

October 18, 2017

Another time when the press rode madly off in all directions without thinking was over the story of Russians meddling in the election by buying Facebook ads. Nobody ever seemed to say, “Wait a minute! Are Facebook ads REALLY that effective?!”

In a refreshing turn of events, a former strategist for multiple Clinton campaigns has finally admitted that, no, it is impossible for some Russian troublemakers to have determined the outcome of a US presidential election with $100,000 worth of Facebook ads (believe me, if you could win the presidency with a few Facebook ads, I would have happily written Mark Zuckerberg a check.)

In a Wall Street Journal op-ed, Mark Penn notes that not only did more than half the ads run after the election and many in non-swing states like California and Texas, but $100,000 is a molecule of one drop in a trough of campaign spending that it takes to win the White House. Hillary Clinton’s campaign budget was $1.4 billion. The amount of money the Russians spent on ads that actually touched on the election was about $6500, or 0.00046% of what Hillary spent (not counting the billions of dollars’ worth of free advertising the media gave her.) If she couldn’t counter their ads, then they must’ve had a Russian Don Draper on their team.

The inescapable conclusion for anyone who’s being even slightly honest is that the Russian ads had zero effect on the outcome of the election. Or if they did, then we really dodged a bullet by not putting Hillary in charge of our money. Because, man, she must have made some truly terrible spending decisions!

NBC gave Hillary a great start....if you can go back to Chuck Todd's Meet the Press, way before anyone had announced a candidacy, Chuck already had Hillary crowned as the first woman president of the US. Week after week, he continued with that theme until I got too sick of it to watch any more. Anyone who gave NBC any credibility would fall for the idea, and if they had little sense of right and wrong, they may have voted for her, just based on Chuck's recommendation. Lots of free advertising for her there.

It's absolutely disgusting that it costs 1.4 billion dollars to run for President of the United States. This just sets the table for corruption, so no wonder we get so many corrupt politicians and nothing in Washington works for the people. We shouldn't allow any advertising. Take it all away. Let the candidates speak on CSPAN and the major new networks, and have debates, and let the candidates travel and speak to the people and use their own social media to get their message out. Maybe the government can support something that else that gives air time to every candidate, and not just those who start with 10% of votes. This will cut out tons of corruption money, and it will give honest candidates a level playing field with the corrupt, rich, and powerful. Also, laws should be relaxed so new political parties can seriously complete. Right now it feels like we live in a two party dictatorship.

Who were the ads for? Never heard them say, so I would "assume" they were for Hillary and against Trump! They shut up about this real quick.

Is Russia still making payments for the uranium? This 20% of uranium means what? One time purchase or part ownership of the uranium plant?

Hillary had better spend all of her campaign money and all of her foundation money on electing a "Obama-type" Democrat in the 2020 election...... so she can be assured of a reprieve when she goes to the big house! If the Gop wins the office in the next 2 cycles, she'll hopefully expire in prison. The first " First Lady" to have such an honor!
