Quick Note on Michael Cohen

February 27, 2019 |

Quick note on Michael Cohen: this circus will be going on for three days, and why in the world Congress should spend its time hearing testimony from someone who’s headed to prison for lying to Congress is beyond me (maybe he'll pinky-swear on the Bible that this time, he's really telling the truth -- although maybe he should swear on Clifford Irving's hoax biography of billionaire Howard Hughes instead.) I’ll wait to comment until after it happens.  In the meantime, he’s already released his opening statement.  I won’t go into detail yet, since I’m sure the questioners will pick it apart, but at first glance, much of it sounds like the same anti-Trump talking points (“He’s a racist! He’s a con man!”) that have been clogging the Internet for two years and that sound as if they came from CNN by way of the DNC’s unsecured email account.

For instance, claims of him saying all these racist things in private or never really expecting or wanting to win the Presidency:  I spent many hours with him on the campaign trail.  I never heard him say anything racist (I would have quit immediately if I had). And the very fact that he did campaign so hard, holding rallies day and night until much-younger aides were left exhausted in his wake, gives the lie to the claim that he wasn’t trying to win.  I have a feeling that there is a great deal in Mr. Cohen’s testimony that will be at sharp odds with the facts.  Personally, I think Congress could spend its time more productively by holding hearings on how to eliminate cow flatulence, but I suppose they will get to that in due time.

Meanwhile, with the media’s attention riveted to really important news, like a known liar going to Congress (talk about carrying coals to Newcastle), President Trump is busying himself with the far less important matter of trying to keep North Korea from blowing up the world with nuclear weapons.

While in Vietnam for his second meeting with Kim Jong-Un, Trump also signed several commercial airline trade deals with Vietnam’s President.  The latest details on the ongoing summit are here:

https://www.foxnews.com/world/trump-meets-with-vietnams-president-ahead-of-hanoi-summit-with-north-koreas-kim

And here’s an interesting article on the insights the CIA might be providing to Trump on Kim’s mysterious background and sometimes baffling behavior and the secret strategies behind it.

On a side note, someone tell Dutch customs officials not to be quite so conscientious.  They seized 90,000 bottles of Russian vodka that was believed to be on its way to Kim Jong-Un and his top generals at the Vietnam summit. While I’m personally opposed to liquor myself, if Kim wants to get totally schnockered before going into the negotiating room with Trump, I say, “Drink up!”

It's all the same old thing except Cohen came up with a check for 35,000 paid to him and signed by Trump which seemed to excite the Democrats.

I've watched the Michael Cohen on/off today. Did Mr. Cohen ever record President Trump WHILE he was the President? I think that question should have been asked!

I wish they would leave the president alone and let him do his job. I am so sick of the constant accusations made about him. He is not perfect and I have no doubt that he has said and done things in the past that he shouldn't have(so have I). I don't want to be judged by how I behaved or spoke before I became a Christian. But I don't know anyone who could go to work every day while being berated and treated with such hatred and animosity and still continue to do their job. I watch news outlets who are supposedly unbiased, report one sided news, and ignore any news that might shed a positive light on the job the president is doing. My eyes certainly have been opened to the "new democratic" party. They certainly aren't the party I believed in growing up.

How come we all must look the Cohen in Congress? Normal people doesn't care about this disloyal lawyer.
Why would any honest, clear thinking person believe anything he has to say! Cohen has been proven
to be a lawbreaker.. he betrayed all of his clients & threw their right of "client/lawyer privilege" and
he is a disgrace to his family and himself.
He broke Lawyer's professional obligation to not share with anybody anything about his clients. He even recorded President. It is good that he lost his license. For us he is just a sneaky lawyer who wanted to make fortune. He was dishonest person whole his life, not our President.
The sad thing is to see how Mueller could smash peoples life for things which normal court could take care of that.
Cohen should say in Congress now what kind of methods Mueller use to destroy people's life.
But his Hoax position there and illegal Commission spent millions tax payers money to show up something on people who were connected somewhere to Mr. Trump. It was only the reason.
Mueller represents KGB style of investigation:' show me the person and I will find his crime'.
We cannot wait when Mueller will be destroyed one day and go to jail, because he is one of the swamp.

Some people will climb a tree to tell a lie rather than to stand on the ground and tell the truth. Prevarication always has its own reward. His abettors will share in the downfall.

Governor you are so correct... in your post about Michael Cohen...he is a bold face, endless liar.
Knowing he was facing many years in jail for his own crimes of tax fraud and so many other things,
I believe he agreed to "Sing and Compose" to Congress this week. My time is too valuable to spend time
listening to known liars...who's sole purpose is to keep the reduced sentence in his plea deal.. He'll lie
thru his teeth til he is blue in the face... to keep that deal. I'm sure they are "other charges" being held
in his folder. I the fails to sound go along with the Democrats game in these hearings we know those
"other charges" will be brought out..

So ...Why would any honest, clear thinking person believe anything he has to say! Cohen has been proven
to be a lawbreaker.. he betrayed all of his clients & threw their right of "client/lawyer privilege" and
he is a disgrace to his family and himself.

I'll never believe anything he says..nor his deliberate distortion of the facts. He's the savory, slim-ball lawyer
    most of us despise!

    Final thought... #LockCohenUp and #ThrowAwayTheKey!
    at the NY AG office..
