This week at a Presidential social media summit on anti-conservative bias among the tech giants, President Trump took a few moments to describe “Antifa,” the mask-wearing “anti-fascists” who actually engage in fascist tactics themselves, donning masks to hide their faces as they gang up on and beat conservative journalists or elderly veterans in MAGA hats.
Trump’s description of them as cowardly losers who have skinny little arms, live in their moms’ basements, and for some reason never attack the “Bikers for Trump” will surely be depicted by the press as crude, insulting and unpresidential…instead of what it actually was: hilarious and dead-on accurate.

The members of Antifa are delusional if they think they are anything other than fascists themselves, or that ludicrously describing themselves as “social justice warriors” means they actually are warriors, a noble term that should be reserved for real soldiers, not cowards and bullies who attack the weak while hiding their faces, then run away. There are reports that they’re now planning to try to blind people they disagree with by throwing acid in their faces.

It’s obvious that this group has become a domestic terrorist organization, and despite being pathetic, they are still dangerous. It’s long past time for federal law enforcement to start dealing as harshly with them as they do with any other violent radical group. Except in their case, just the threat of yanking their masks off and putting their photos on social media, where all their potential future employers and their moms/landlords can see them (like the ones at the link below – and note how little “diversity” they exhibit!) might be enough to make the rest scurry to their rooms and learn to behave like civilized adults before they come out again.

On Friday, the Dow added yet another record to the many set over the past two years, closing at 27,332, the first time it’s ever topped 27,300.
But as Joe Hoft points out at the link, the Dow closing number is only a small part of the story. Hoft ticks off a long list of stock market records and accomplishments since Trump became President. They include adding nearly 9,000 points to the Dow (a 49% increase!) since the 2016 election. In fact, Hoft notes that Trump’s stock market record has not only beaten Obama’s, it’s now outperformed every President in US stock market history.
Hoft notes that the Fed kept interest rates near zero throughout Obama’s entire tenure to keep the market up, then started raising them over and over immediately after Trump was elected, so it likely would have been even higher if the Fed weren’t actively trying to tamp it down.
As conservatives across the Internet love to remind liberals, this is what the New York Times’ economics expert Paul Krugman tweeted on Election night, immediately after Trump won:
“If the question is when markets will recover, a first-pass answer is never.”
He was spectacularly wrong, as were so many other predictions of imminent doom and disaster. But over two years into Trump’s first term, I’d add that if the question is, “When will leftists afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome ever recover,” then “never” is a pretty safe answer.

Just when you think we’ve reached the outer limits of wacky PC absurdity, someone plants a flag in new territory. Like self-described “cultural theorist” Dan Hassler-Forest, who wrote an article actually published in the Washington Post, about how Disney’s new CGI remake of the animated classic “The Lion King” represents “fascist ideology writ large,” and “incorporates the white supremacist’s worldview.”
(Would you be surprised to learn that he also finds ways to compare the lion villain of the story and his hyena henchmen to Donald Trump and his supporters? No?) It’s already been called “the dumbest article ever published by WaPo,” which probably isn’t fair because there are so many worthy contenders.
Since the story is loosely based on “Hamlet” (and nature), and about 80% of the voice actors of the new version are black, I can’t help wondering if Shakespeare, Beyonce and Donald Glover knew they were promoting fascism, white supremacy and Trump?
If the early reviews are any indicator, the movie may have problems more serious than one social justice warrior nutcase thinking it promotes fascism and white supremacy (after all, he’d probably say the same thing about “Madea’s Family Reunion.”) Below is one of the most vicious and entertaining reviews. If audiences agree with this merciless pan, maybe it will finally herald the end of live-action remakes of classic cartoons and studios will finally start filming original stories again. Or at least stealing some different ones from Hans Christian Anderson.
