THE LATEST ON THE POST-ELECTION LEGAL BATTLE
The latest events in the legal battle over last week’s election are starting to come thick and fast. I was going to give you a recap on President Trump’s moves in the different swing states, but Tyler O’Neil at PJ Media already did a great job of it. So click here to catch up on what’s happening in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin and Arizona.
Probably the biggest news on Thursday was that Trump’s team scored a major legal win in Pennsylvania when a judge ordered that the late-arriving mail-in ballots ordered separated from the rest by Justice Samuel Alito will not be counted. Just before the election, the state’s Democratic Secretary of State Kathy Bockvar had ordered ballots arriving after the official deadline to be counted, but the judge found that Bockvar has no authority to unilaterally alter the state’s election laws.
THIS ISN'T OVER, WE ARE ONLY AT STAGE 2
Democrats and the media (pardon my redundancy) are trying to gaslight us into thinking the election is over, Biden won and Trump is just being a sore loser, which is hilarious coming from people who still haven’t accepted the results of the 2016 election. In fact, Stacy Abrams still hasn’t even conceded her own loss in Georgia from 2018.
Nobody is “President-elect” until the votes are certified and the other side concedes. That's not partisan stubbornness, it's just a fact (not to "fact-checkers": that's what a "fact" is.) As I previously noted, none of these reporters, who switched from attack dogs to lap dogs overnight, ever called George W. Bush “President-elect Bush” during the 37 days it took to settle the 2000 election. They all need to take a remedial lesson in how elections work.
We’re also seeing a massive effort to convince us that there’s “no evidence” of vote fraud, or that any such stories we’re hearing are minor, overblown and wouldn’t be enough to affect the outcome of the race. Maybe so, which is why we need to have a thorough investigation to find out and ensure that the people can trust their electoral process. Another bogus narrative is that Trump is filing lawsuits without providing evidence of wrongdoing on a scale that would change the results. That again shows that they don’t understand how this process works.
In a nutshell, the lawsuits always come before the full evidence because the legal system is on a fast timetable with a looming deadline. It takes time to obtain ballots and records through discovery. If Trump doesn’t have it yet, that might mean it doesn’t exist, but we don’t know yet because the judge has to order the election officials to turn over the records and ballots so that forensic fraud experts can audit them. And why should it take a court order to force election officials to cooperate? Because some of them aren’t exactly inclined to be accommodating to the Trump campaign, like the Arizona Secretary of State, who apparently thinks that we Trump voters are all neo-nazis.
If after all that, they can’t find enough evidence, the lawsuits will be dropped or thrown out, but first, they have to be filed. We’re only at stage two of the process.
It might be likely that Biden will eventually be declared winner, but it’s still far from settled, as explained here by a former Clinton aide who shows that Trump still has a path to victory. Note that I’m deliberatly not quoting biased “rightwing sources,” but people who are not fans of Trump but are honest enough to admit that the media are currently rushing to conclusions and urinating on our boots while telling us it’s a rainstorm.
DISAPPEARING VOTES, AND A CLOSER LOOK AT DOMINION VOTING SYSTEMSReal Clear Investigations reports that a poll watcher in Georgia claims that in the early hours of November 5th, a surge of 20,000 Biden votes suddenly appeared while approximately 1,000 Trump votes mysteriously disappeared. This was the same Dominion Voting Systems software that switched Biden and Trump votes in Michigan. The poll watcher put this claim into a sworn affidavit to the Secretary of State.
And speaking of Dominion Voting Systems, the National Pulse examined FEC records of their employees. What a surprise: they found that 96% of Dominion employees’ political donations went to Democrats. Unless, of course, they really gave money to Trump and the FEC’s computers accidentally switched the money to Biden.
Now, that staggering donation ratio in itself doesn’t mean that their software is designed to give 96% of votes to Democrats, although nothing would surprise me at this point. It’s just one more suspicious red flag to add to all the others. There may be no bias in their software at all. But if you showed up to play baseball and found that nearly all the umpires were wearing shirts for the other team, would you think you were about to engage in a fair game?
CIVIL WAR II
Civil War II: If Joe Biden thinks that he can become President and order the nation to shut down again for 4-to-6 weeks (remember in blue states, when it was “two weeks,” eight months ago?), he may find he’ll have open rebellion on his hands. The Governors of Mississippi, South Dakota and Florida are already signaling that Biden has no authority to shut down states.
THE 'FOR THE PEOPLE' ACT
If you suspect this election was riddled with fraud that negated the legal votes of an untold number of Americans, then brace yourself for it to get even worse if Nancy Pelosi passes a bill she plans to bring up again on Day One of the next Congress. Using the typical liberal tactic of giving the bill a sunshine-up-your-skirt name that’s the exact opposite of what’s actually in it, it’s called “The ‘For The People’ Act of 2019.” She claims it will restore election integrity, expand voter access and restore trust that “the American people can make their voices heard.”
Dig into the details and you see that it makes it harder to remove dead people and other ineligible voters from the rolls, expands absentee and mail-in ballots to make fraud and ballot harvesting easier, and in general codifies all the worst abuses that have made this the most divisive and suspect election of our lifetimes. It will turn every future election into 2020 on steroids, but the Democrats like that since they always oppose all measures that insure the integrity of elections. This will basically repeal all election safeguards and cement the Dems into power forever.
Read the details of that bill at the link, and realize that if the Republicans lose the Senate, this will pass, and this last election will look like Sunday School compared to future elections. Then go make whatever donations you can to help Republican Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler get reelected in Georgia.
WHAT STOPPED THE VOTE IN GEORGIA?
Remember how, on Election night, one of the more curious reasons for stopping the vote count in multiple places in the middle of the night was a claim of a water main break in Atlanta? The media reported that “Fulton County’s absentee ballot processing center was flooded after a pipe burst, slowing down the counting of mail-in ballots. The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported that election results could be delayed several hours. No ballots were damaged. However, another official predicted it could take until Friday to tally Georgia’s votes.”
You might have imagined poll workers rushing out of the building, just ahead of the rising tides, holding boxes of ballots over their heads to keep them dry. Well, not quite.
Joe Hoft at the Gateway Pundit reports that Georgia attorney Paul J. Dzikowski was skeptical of this story and filed an open records request for all communications related to it. What he got back was a couple of text messages. A county official texted that they’d heard about a water pipe bursting and asking if it affected the room where ballots were being counted. Sr. Vice President of the Atlanta Hawks Geoffrey Stiles texted back, “No, sir - it was highly exaggerated.” He described it as a slow leak that was quickly contained and “did not spread – we just wanted to protect the equipment.” The records also included no repair orders or plumbers’ bills. So why was it necessary to stop the vote count over a slow leak?
If this turns into a political scandal, can we call it “Dripping Water-gate?”
