BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY

The Gov. answers reader on our strategy going forward

By Mike Huckabee

From Loren:

Governor, I believe that the left want to push us over the edge by restricting speech, increase restrictions on our freedoms, and insisting we are stupid and need to be “reprogrammed”. They are trying to force us into violence so that they invoke martial law. With martial law they would have license to do what ever they wanted including restricting the First and Second Amendments. Our solution should be to hold our cool and work hard starting with the 2022 elections to gain back our control.

From the Gov:

Thanks for writing, Loren. This is something we all have to keep in mind. And because the left have repeatedly accused Trump of wanting to declare martial law, they’ve likely given away their hand and told us that’s what THEY plan to do. As we’ve said for a long time, if you want to know what those on the left are doing, look at what they’re accusing the right of doing or wanting to do

By the way, did Trump ever declare martial law, even with cities burning? No, he did not. If Trump had wanted to be a dictator, he would have worked a lot harder at it, don’t you think?

Anyway, the left’s strategy is diabolical, because in their minds, it works for them either way. If we don’t take the bait, they think, we still will have lost our freedom, just more gradually. If we do take the bait, they’ll use our rage as an excuse to impose martial law. it’s only a matter of time before someone does take the bait, they think, and they’re ready with their response.

It doesn’t even have to be over anything much. They’d do it in a New York minute. The media will blow it up into whatever they need for an excuse to clamp down.

So you're right --- the thing to do now is to stay calm and let the rest of the country experience “voter’s remorse.” We know that many who were poorly informed and “just didn’t like Trump” were not voting for the policies that Biden is already imposing, such as shutting down the Keystone Pipeline with the stroke of a pen, and they are shocked to find this out now. Give the voters a chance to miss Trump; many will see he was the one --- practically the only one at times --- standing between us and the power-hungry swamp.

Stand firm (think “Rand Paul”) if someone tells you the election was perfectly accurate and transparent, or that Trump was a dictator, or that his supporters are ignorant white supremacists. Tell them reasonably and confidently that they are misinformed and wrong, ask them where they get their information and why they would think such a thing without evidence, and then go on your merry way. Use yourself as an example of what a typical Trump supporter really is. Keep as many channels of communication open as you can –- develop solid email lists for contacts you might have had through Facebook, for example –- and work hard towards 2022.

We have to be a lot more organized and involved in the election process going forward. Traditionally, the left have always been much more focused on this, as they’re in it for the power and enjoy that quest much more than we do. We have to be in it just as much, though, knowing that power is important, not as an end in itself, as the left see it, but as a means of preserving our freedom and maintaining a constitutional republic.

History Lesson Needed

By Mike Huckabee

I already reported on the San Francisco Board of “Education” voting to rename 44 schools because the people they were named after don't meet today’s ultra-sensitive PC standards. People like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and even Abraham Lincoln. But here are a few more details that should bring home just how stupid this is:

First of all, while the school district is struggling with funding and deficits, renaming all those schools is expected to cost at least $100,000 to change all the signs, stationary, websites, sports fields and stadiums, band and team uniforms, etc.

And while I told you a little about how clueless these board members were (they voted to rename Roosevelt Middle School without even knowing whether it was named after Franklin, Theodore or Roosevelt "Rosey" Grier), even more has now been revealed about their “thought processes.” It turns out they didn’t even do the research to verify whether the accusations of racism against these American icons were true or not. They relied instead on sources like Wikipedia, Internet rumors and their own uninformed assumptions.

For instance, Paul Revere was erased because he was a commander in the Penobscot Expedition, which they mistakenly thought was an attack on the Penobscot Indians (it was actually a naval assault against the British in Penobscot Bay, Maine.)

Even worse, Lowell High School was renamed because they thought abolitionist poet James Russell Lowell didn’t want blacks to vote – except he did advocate for blacks to be allowed to vote. But even that’s beside the point because the school was actually named after Lowell, Massachusetts, which is named after early American businessman, Francis Cabot Lowell.

I have a suggestion that would save the school district a lot of money: keep the names the way they are and send your school board over to Roosevelt Middle School to retake history class.

Clueless Gov. plays blame game in New York

By Mike Huckabee

Last Thursday, New York Attorney General Letitia James issued a bombshell report, accusing Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s administration of severely undercounting the number of COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes by as much as 50 percent. They did this by counting only those who actually died at the nursing homes, not those transferred to hospitals, where they then died.

This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who reads this newsletter, since we’ve been writing for months about how Cuomo lethally bungled the COVID response, forcing nursing homes to take in COVID patients and exposing the most vulnerable people in the population to the virus. While Democrats spent the campaign season blaming every virus death on President Trump, they never mentioned that the New York death total was higher than many nations on its own. Cuomo’s response to this so far has been to blame Trump and write a book about what a great job he did.

(Here’s how the New York Post responded to the report, by reimaging Cuomo’s self-congratulatory book cover on their front page: https://nypost.com/cover/january-29-2021/)

Even CNN, where Cuomo’s brother Chris normally gives him hero worship coverage, had to admit that maybe they oversold his brilliant COVID response just a tad – although they still tried to ascribe partisan motives to AG James, who is a Democrat herself. I guess CNN can’t imagine why anyone would tell the truth other than for political advantage, a great attitude for a news network to have.

Gov. Cuomo has now finally responded, and as expected, it was to shift blame and claim the report started with the Trump Administration (nope, it came from his own state’s Democrat Attorney General and was issued eight days after Trump left office.) Deanna Fisher at the Victory Girls blog has a good account of Cuomo’s spin job and all the eye-rolling in response to it.

A couple of points worth adding: Cuomo attempted to explain the deadly mistakes by claiming the state was following federal guidelines because nobody was yet sure what to do with a totally new disease: “Everybody did the best they could. If you think there was a mistake, then go talk to the federal government. It’s not about pointing fingers or blame, this became a political football.”

Exactly. But who made it a political football? Who blamed the President for every new case and every death, every mistake made by even the best medical experts who were still learning about the disease, and who mocked him as a liar for saying a vaccine would be available before the end of 2020?

I cut slack during that time for a lot of Democrats and health experts who made honest mistakes, but they never returned the favor. Now, Cuomo says, hey, “Everybody did the best they could.” Where was that attitude when it could have prevented panic, distrust, division and politicization? And how much do you really need to know about a disease to comprehend that if it’s especially deadly to the elderly, you don’t put patients who have it into nursing homes?

The other particularly tonedeaf point was Cuomo’s comment, "My father died — I wish I had someone to blame." His father, former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo, was hospitalized for long standing heart issues in late 2014, treated and released. He died two months later at home with his family. He didn’t die needlessly because the state’s wrongheaded policies exposed him to a deadly disease. He wasn’t denied hospital treatment because he had a non-COVID condition, nor was he forced to be separated from his family for months on end and not even allowed to see them on his deathbed.

I can only imagine how New Yorkers who suffered that frustrating and heartbreaking experience in losing their parents and not even being allowed to visit them feel about Cuomo comparing their situation to his and brushing off their justifiable anger and grief as just mindless blame-shifting.

Why Nobody Trusts “Fact-Checkers”

By Mike Huckabee

MSN.com reposted a Austin-American Statesman  “fact-check” of a claim by Texas Rep. Kevin Brady that President Biden’s ban on new oil and gas leases on federal land would destroy 120,000 jobs in Texas and ruled it only “half-true.”

I would urge you to read their hair-splitting reasoning because it (perhaps inadvertently) tells you that it’s actually worse than what Brady said, even if their ruling makes it sound as if Brady overstated the damage. Their quibble is that Biden’s order only bans new leases, and that that many jobs could only be lost by banning all drilling on federal land…but the article admits that Biden has said that’s exactly what he intends to do. I assume we will charge our millions of new electric vehicles with wind power generated by the flapping wings of flying pigs.

Also, the Statesman points out that there isn’t that much federal land in Texas to drill on (the state will mostly lose jobs from banning off-shore drilling, which supports about 300,000 jobs.) While the Statesman is quibbling over whether Biden has banned all oil and gas leases YET, states that are heavily dependent on income from drilling on federal land, like New Mexico and Wyoming, had better start making emergency plans, filing lawsuits and electing a lot more Republicans. And that’s the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

As long as we’re on this subject, not even the “fact-checkers” at the Washington Post and the Associated Press could think up a way to finesse Biden’s claim that all the jobs he plans to destroy in the auto industry will be replaced by jobs making electric cars.

Great Comments

By Mike Huckabee

Former NFL great Benjamin Watson made some great comments to the Daily Caller about how we can overcome these divisive times by realizing that we are all united by life, and that we should encourage everyone to come together to protect the gift and dignity of all human life.

After you read this article, go to YouTube and watch my recent interview with Benjamin Watson from “Huckabee” on TBN about his documentary on abortion, “Divided Hearts of America.”

With the cost of gasoline on the rise, other issues come to mind. Nobody drives vehicles, they can't afford the gas. The price of a used horse will sky rocket. Maybe when the President doesn't have breakfast, lunch, or dinner because trucks can't find fuel to deliver groceries he will realize he screwed up. Funny how the president rules because we gave him the power, but we can't take it away as quickly.

I have heard from a few retired Republican politicians that Trump is not our saviour and should not run for President again. More people would vote for a Republican candidate other than Trump. I scratch my head and wonder who in this world would take on the crooked Left other than Trump. No one will be strong enough. I like my Governor, Ron DeSantis. I like Rand Paul. Could one of those be a better candidate and get more votes and maybe many new former Democrats??

We must keep our "cool" in the face of the lefts evil. In Scripture God turned Pharaoh's evil against him. I fear the "right" is forgetting that God is in charge. If we truly believe God is in charge then we need to be in prayer to know what he wants from us. Civil disobedience is not the answer. Pray and see what God does.

IN RESPONSE TO WHERE YOU STATE ( in your answer to a reader on our strategy going forward) THAT: "The left's strategy is diabolical" .... "The thing to do now is to stay calm and let the rest of the country experience 'voter's remorse' "...DO I STATE THAT:

SInce the left's strategy IS diabolical, then GOD'S answer TO it is to counteract the he in them with the HE in Christians that is supposed to be greater THAN the he in them which is WHY. Mike, you agreed WITH Arthur Brooks when, during your interview with him, that THE only answer to uniting this country is to answer the HATRED of the left's diabolical he with the LOVE of our holy HE!

This BEING God's answer then the thing to do now is NOT for the country to experience "VOTER'S REMORSE" but, rather, "SINNER'S REMORSE!" ...or let's forget about claiming that our "country" is ONE nation "UNDER GOD!"

I am glad that your readers chose that you BEGIN, rather than END, your newsletters with a Bible verse because that means it is important to them that the "answer" to this present political saga should be relevant to GOD'S answers to rectifying the MORAL failure of this country!!

Several times now God's command TO us that we do ALL things for the glory of God is the Bible verse that has accompanied the messages in the newsletter! So I ask, did that riot give glory to God? Of COURSE no one would answer that in the affirmative!....But how about the motive behind having the "protest" in the first place..even if it had NOT become violent...was it being motivated TO give glory to God?...

.And how about the speech about Mike Pence that engendered such diabolical hatred toward him that those protesting the diabolical voter fraud that they felt the Democrats were guilty of began shouting "hang him?" ...not to mention the death threats Mike has received just because...after four years of agreeing with Trump....he one time disagreed with him!

Yes, had voters who voted for Biden based their vote on which party was LEAST guilty of sin, they should HAVE voted for Trump because no Christian should have supported the murder of God's unborn babies OR supported same sex marriage thereby calling God a liar by telling us in His Word that homosexuality is an abomination to Him!

But lesser evils are not good enough for our God and so we, finally, brought His hand of judgment down on this country! When I first began writing these comments and stated, in response to my spiritual discernment OF Trump's behavior, that he was NOT a "born again" Christian, did one reader ever slam me for being so self-, righteous! And yet, had God been able to use some Christian to help Trump SEE...have revelation understanding OF....this fact it would have been THE greatest gift of support that anyone could have given him....and he would have won the election!!

THEREFORE...this country needs to have remorse that leads to REPENTANCE of our collective sins, AS a country, and beg God for His mercy to stay His hand of judgment on us, and then if there are enough repentant Christians who are willing to take a stand for true righteousness, the He IN them will BE greater than the he that AUTHORS the left's diabolical strategy and they will BE "more than conquerors" when CONFRONTING the left's "strategy!"

The reason for reprogram camps is the older population were educated with a less Anti American curriculum than the people od 25 years ago look at the Teachers Unions around the country and you can understand how ignorant and anti American the younger population are. The Suburban women got a double dose of Anti American as they attended 4or 5 years of more anti american education thus the rejection of an American First Agenda my view a camp to teach the beauty of America First Agenda may what the country and the World needs.

"Stay calm and let the rest of the country experience 'voter’s remorse.'"

Sure. That worked really well after National Socialist German Workers' Party (now described as a "far right political party" on Wikipedia, I believe) "won" an election in the 1930s, didn't it? I'm sure all of the Germans listening to talk about internment camps back then thought they could just keep calm and demonstrate their German patriotism and Jewish faith and it would all be fine next election. Tempers would cool, better heads would prevail. It's not like the sitting German government would ever actually send peaceful, innocent, patriotic people to Dachau or anything! That was just partisan, inflamed rhetoric.

Governor, I like you very much and I support many of your ideas - and I do NOT advocate violence or bloody revolution - but by virtue of your wealth and position alone you are largely insulated from what is going on out there today. Nobody fights for us. Nobody pushes back against the "establishment" or the radical demagogue that's been formed. The "conservative" byline is always: "We'll get 'em next election." Meanwhile jobs are lost and dreams are stolen...and lately we are all deemed to be domestic terrorists subject to assault and cancellation for wrong-think, much in the same vein as those opposing the Nazi party were in 1933... and our 2% "elected conservative leaders" do nothing but whimper, simper, submit and apologize our Constitutional Rights away. It is high time for a new party - one divorced from "Establishment Washington" in its entirety. I doubt it will save this country. I doubt this country can be saved, between the strangelhold of Big Tech and the double standards in the application of law for the Left. But at least the do-nothings who fiddled while the Republic burned won't be rewarded for their spineless apathy any longer.

I doubt the Left cares what people think or do they have gained power in all the branches of government and if we have another election they will use mail in ballots to control who wins the Congress is full of self serving members to insure a legal voting process just like the the repeal of the 230 bill this Congress is just to feeble greedy corrupt to enforce the Constitution, all it has are words, weenies with suits and ties, makeup and hairspray with communists hearts cold black corroded hearts. Oh Congress has a few that come out and say it needs to fix the laws they never will enforce if they enforced the laws already on the books they would continue to be the do nothing Congress it is.

What is going to be done with ALL gas cars that are used by local, state and federal officers that we, taxpayers paid for? Also, if only electric cars will be used, how can they be used when the power goes out as has been happening lately, here in Jersey. Also, so far one electric car can travel about a few hundred miles, then we will be forced to charge the batteries which will take NUMEROUS hours. My little scooter, which is a necessity for any distance coverage by me, takes 4+ hours to charge and sometimes when we go to mall or food market, I may need to recharge it on my return home. We have a hydraulic lift in our vehicle to lift the scooter back into the car, but if I lose the charge (which has happened in Costco), we need to return to the house and charge the batteries for at least 6 hours. How can a family, going on a vacation, in an electric car, possibly sit at a charging station for HOURS with youngsters in our car, what do we do for those down hours as well as personal body relief? There is NO comparison to pulling into a gas station and within less than 15 minutes, be back on the road to our destination. Electric cars are a farce.

When we first heard about reeducation camps, it was around 1992. We drove by one that was almost finished near Brooker, FL, or east of there. I am glad it has taken almost 30 years before we again are hearing of them. They want the U.S. to lose their dominance on the global stage and become dependent upon other countries and eventually the old "New World Order", gag.
But who knows what plans God has for this country? Keep praying is all I can say.

Dear Progressive friends and Biden/Harris supporters,
I hope that you will begin to generously give conservatives a bit of a break. You have won it all so .I don’t know why you have any cause to cancel the voices of those who have apposing views. There is no longer any reason to be frightened of those apposing voices. He’s gone. Hooray! We recognize that you have a philosophy of kindness and generosity toward others so any help you can give to let up would be appreciated. You should celebrate you accomplishments already. The pipeline has been shut down as well as drilling on Federal lands so a lot of people can stop doing those dirty hard jobs and work in clean jobs like retail shops and bars. I know you recognize that their salaries will be about 2/3 less but they will have the satisfaction of knowing the are helping climate change and in a few years they may be able to help build solar and wind equipment which .I understand will pay them more, about half of the original jobs. The other benefit is that folks won’t have to worry as much about birth control since couples can now split shifts to look after the kids as they cannot afford a nanny and mom needs to go to work. The other good thing is they will have to go on MedicAde or subsidized ACA as they are losing their insurance. You friends China and Russia will get to supply petroleum products we still need. You will have that great feeling about allowing in thousands of immigrants at the border and providing for their food, transportation, housing and medical needs. Now for you retirees, I know you are going to feel a lot of satisfaction when your income decreases because of the lost market value of your IRA. You will know that you are helping others so sacrifices like travel and golf club memberships, new cars and helping your grandkids through college are well worth it. After we get through the Covid, you notice how things are miraculously opening up within just a couple of weeks of being rid of Trump, you will be able to take the kids to DC to see our beautiful Capital City and you will feel safe with all of the armed soldiers. The kids will be fascinated by all those automatic rifles. So, there is so much to be thankful for, you should all be really pleased. Oh, almost forgot, in some cities, ladies, if your partner knocks you out repeatedly, breaks some part of you, or beats the kids, the Safety Department will send a social worker to broker a reconciliation and to teach better parenting. It’s all good.

Why do conservative leaders keep referring to corrective policies by voting? We already know there will never be another fair election, and that neither the State officials or the courts, not even the Supreme Court, nor the Senate will bother to examine evidence of fraud. So what kind of voting could you and they be referring to? We have a Chinese system already. What are voting chances in Beijing? About the same as the U S A.

Governor, I think it is time for some Town Halls with our congressmen and women and our Senators. They need to hear from us directly. Remember the days of the Tea Party....It's time to let our voices be heard at Town Halls...that's my opinion...Some talking heads on Fox do a good job, but, unless they are really out there among us, they can't know what we are really thinking. And, I'm not talking about town halls where the people are chosen to attend...like what Fox did ... I'm saying, let the "real" people speak...and not in a "studio" and not in a diner, for a 1 minutes question and answer. Let us ask our questions to the people who we elected. Let then answer us directly face to face.
