Today's Commentary: Hillary's ties to Russia stink -- FBI informant free to speak -- Left launches crusade against pro-life pregnancy centers -- Kenny Rogers retires -- Shocking survey -- RIP Fats Domino

-----------------------

Hillary Clinton can try to blithely dismiss all the recent revelations about her self-enriching ties to Russian interests as “baloney,” but if that baloney has a first name, it’s S-T-I-N-K. Appropriately for Halloween season, the rotting perfidy is rising from where it was long buried to stalk her again. It might not be so easy to dismiss, considering these latest developments:

The nonprofit Campaign Legal Center has already filed a formal complaint with the Federal Election Commission accusing her campaign and the DNC of violating federal election laws. They were legally required to accurately disclose the purpose and recipients of all campaign-related expenditures, including opposition research. But they allegedly paid over $12 million to a law firm that used much of that money to pay for creating the Trump dossier, and they not only didn’t disclose it, they denied it for a year. Oops.

Happy Friday America!

Sincerely,

Mike Huckabee

FBI informant free to speak

By Mike Huckabee

On Wednesday, the DOJ finally released a former FBI informant from a confidentiality agreement and will allow him to disclose in private to top Congressional investigators “any information or documents he has concerning alleged corruption or bribery involving transactions in the uranium market, including but not limited to anything related to Vadim Mikerin, Rosatom, Tenex, Uranium One, or the Clinton Foundation.” Funny, I don't see anything named "Trump" in that list.

Left launches crusade against pro-life pregnancy centers

By Mike Huckabee

This week marks a fresh assault on pro-life pregnancy clinics that offer women medical care, support, counseling and alternatives to abortion. It’s part of an effort to smear such groups organized by the co-creator of “The Daily Show.” But there’s one big problem with their crusade to paint these pro-life pregnancy centers as “fake clinics” that don’t help women: reality keeps intruding. Like the 99% positive reviews from women who’ve turned to them

Kenny Rogers retires

By Mike Huckabee

Kenny Rogers announced that his star-packed concert this week in Nashville will mark his retirement from performing. Kenny said that at 79, getting out there is “hard, hard work,” he can’t do it like he used to, and “I swore that I’d do this until I started embarrassing myself.” He said he won’t be staging comeback tours, because it rubs him the wrong way when performers “retire” 10 times. He's planning to stay home with his wife and kids, and says, "I’m going to enjoy every minute of it.”

Good for him. Thanks for all the great music, Kenny, and enjoy that retirement. But not quite yet. He might be done with concerts, but he’s still going to be my guest on “Huckabee,” this weekend on TBN. Catch him while you can!

Shocking survey

By Mike Huckabee

Most shocking survey of the week: 63% of kids say they would be happy to get healthy treats such as fruit instead of candy in their Halloween trick-or-treat bags. Not sure whether it’s shocking that so many kids have become that health and diet conscious or that so many kids are willing to lie to survey takers.

RIP Fats Domino

The world is mourning the loss of yet another legend from the first generation of rock and roll: Fats Domino has died in New Orleans at 89. At his induction as part of the very first group in the Rock Hall of Fame, Billy Joel hailed him for proving that the piano could be a rock instrument. His playing influenced everyone from the Beatles to Elton John to Harry Connick Jr. Fats Domino had dozens of hits, with 11 making the top 10, including his signature tune, “Blueberry Hill” (it was actually written in 1927, but he turned into a rock ‘n’ roll classic that became synonymous with the '50s). He sold more than 65 million records in the 1950s, second only to Elvis, who once called him “the real king of rock and roll.”

Pretty flattering photo of Hillary...must be an old one....This is a late response to this newsletter, but noted a headline today that Mueller is now interested in Flint's Russia ties....don't we think it's very interesting he has no interest in Hillary and Billary's ties to Russia? Maybe he's afraid of winding up in the "body count"....it's a real thing.

What a pleasure to read the comments. A major difference in tone from what fills the pages of newspapers and what we hear on radio, TV & what we read in e-mails & blogs from the Liberal Left. Thank you for this forum.

Seems to me that we can stop wasting money on the Trump/Russia investigation. But I'm just an ol retired school teacher, what do I know.

When I was 12 years old my parents popped popcorn and put in sandwich bags. for kids trick or treating. I was at the parade on main street and heard kids passing the information to other kids saying they had gone back 2 or 3 times for more popcorn

    Gov. Huckabee;

My vocabulary is increasing by reading your newsletters. Today's word: perfidy = deliberate breach of faith or trust; faithlessness; treachery: perfidy that goes unpunished. Now if only I can remember it the next time I want to express lack of faith or trust in someone or something.
Thanks for helping me become more "expressive".

    Hi Mike!
THANX for highlighting the Left's attacks against Pro-Life Pregnancy centers. One of those is Human Coalition (Frisco, TX) founded by Brian Fisher. His group has been showing the rest us what Compassionate Christianity really looks like. They have several life centers around the country and have been weathering attacks from the LEFT at nearly all of them. To date they have saved 7,359 babies from being aborted. Say a prayer for them and those they help from 1st Counsel until these families are able to stand on their own.

The kids might be happy to receive fruit instead of candy for Trick-or-Treat, BUT... nothing that is not in its purchased, sealed wrapper is allowed to be given. At least that is true in our area. This became the rule from the fear that crazies could insert pins, razor blades or who-knows-what-else into homemade cookies, candy, fresh fruit, etc. It's sad, but true.

Since they are proving that Trump had no connections to the Russian collusion, I think the DNC needs to repay the American taxpayers all the money they have wasted on this investigation.
