Today's Edition: 6 minute read

President Trump has done so much winning this week, I wonder if even he’s getting tired of it. First, there was the Mueller testimony, which backfired on the Democrats even worse than one of Wile E. Coyote’s ACME roadrunner traps. Then in the space of just 24 hours, Trump scored two more big wins, both on border security.
Friday, Trump announced a “landmark” agreement with Guatemala to help reduce the crush of migrants flooding into the US and demanding asylum. It would require those who cross into Guatemala on their way to the US from other Central American nations, such as El Salvador and Honduras, to apply for protection in Guatemala instead of at the U.S. border.
With gratitude,

FEATURED STORIES
"Huckabee" Preview
By Mike Huckabee
Congress is on a six-week summer recess, so let’s all celebrate with a brand new episode of “Huckabee” tonight on TBN! Senator Lindsey Graham will drop in to discuss the week’s news (was there news this week?) Ken Harrison and Judge Vance Day of Promise Keepers will tell us about their huge event at the Cowboys’ Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Sheila Harper will talk about how her group Save One is helping women, men and families recover from the trauma of abortion. I’ll have some serious commentary on the news, and on the lighter side, some crazy news “In Case You Missed It” plus hilarious stand-up comic Dennis Regan. We’ll cap it all off with the great Southern rock/country band, Confederate Railroad.
All that and more is coming your way on “Huckabee,” tonight at 8 and 11 EST, 7 and 10 CST, and the same times on Sunday, on TBN. Just go to https://www.tbn.org/huckabee and click on the “WATCH” menu at the top to find all the ways to watch, from local cable and broadcast channels to streaming. You can also stream full previous episodes of “Huckabee” and see highlights and web exclusives, like extended interviews and online-only musical and comedy performances, all at that same website.
Facebook censorship
By Mike Huckabee
Many of us have predicted for a long time that if the big social media platforms didn’t have their biased practices brought to heel, they’d actually start censoring the President of the United States. Well, it’s now happened. Facebook removed a clip of Trump talking about one of his most unhinged Congressional opponents, branding it “hate speech.” Check it out at the link. It doesn’t sound like “hate speech” to me, even under the ultra PC definition advanced by Facebook.
What’s interesting is that the person he’s talking about has demanded his impeachment using the most offensive profanity possible in front of children; she had to be forcibly removed from a rally where she was screaming like a lunatic and calling people “crazy;” and she once demanded that Trump be deported because she disagrees with his political views.
Apparently, that’s all okay with Facebook; yet his criticism of her is “hate speech.” Would I be accused of hate speech if I called that “crazy?”

"In God We Trust"
By Mike Huckabee
When children return to school in Kentucky next month, a new state law will insure there’s something new awaiting them: a sign posted in a prominent place emblazoned with the US national motto, “In God We Trust.” A similar law was passed in March in South Dakota.
Naturally, this has atheist groups up in arms, and the ACLU claims it divides residents along religious lines and “distracts school officials from fulfilling their core mission” of educating students.
However, as the link above explains, before the lawsuits start flying, it should be noted that the Supreme Court has already ruled that “In God We Trust” does not violate the separation of church and state -- a phrase, incidentally, that never appears in the Constitution. The only reference to religion is in the First Amendment, which says the government can’t establish an official state religion nor interfere with citizens’ free exercise of their religious beliefs (I’ve noticed that atheists love the first part of that right, but like to trample all over the second part.)
And courts have ruled that “In God We Trust” doesn’t establish a particular state religion and that “the Establishment Clause (of the First Amendment) must be interpreted by reference to historical practices and understandings.” All three branches of government have recognized the importance of faith in American life dating back to at least 1789. “In God We Trust” first appeared on coins in 1864, and it’s been the national motto since President Eisenhower signed it into law in 1956.
Those are just a few of the fascinating facts in the linked article, both about “In God We Trust” and the inclusion of “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance. If the ACLU is really worried about a sign with four words on it keeping schools from educating kids, then click on the link above, tell your kids to read this article, and give them a better education in American history and law than they are apparently getting in schools these days.

I wanted to make sure you also read these comments
I wrote earlier this week about people in show business who are brave enough to admit being conservative, and how they often have to find novel ways of producing their projects because the liberal-run big media companies blacklist them (funny how Hollywood thinks blacklists of communists in the ‘50s were the worst evil ever, but blacklisting conservatives now is the height of virtue.) I also said that if we ever want to change that, we have to support entertainers who are defying the leftist monolith.
Well, here’s an example of a movie project you might find interesting. In a time when leftists are literally whitewashing American history from the halls of public schools, some producers are working on a crowdfunded family film called “Elijah and George” that tells the story of a young camp follower who meets some of the founders while helping American soldiers during the Revolutionary War.
I have nothing to do with this production, but the producers called my attention to it, and since I am strongly in favor of kids learning real American history, I thought I’d pass it along. You can learn more at the link and decide if you’d like to help get this film finished and out into the world.

I warn you before clicking on this link, it contains some subject matter that’s meant only for mature eyes and strong stomachs.
I have been writing for a long time now, warning that the Democrats’ and media’s obsession with “trans rights” was threatening to destroy women’s rights. While most people were being cowed into silence with threats of social media de-platforming for being “transphobes,” that prediction has rapidly come true, with women seeing their privacy violated regularly, being attacked and punished if they complain, and with a string of brawny “former men” scooping up win after win at women’s sports competitions.
Well, this story shows that another problem some of us predicted right up front is also now a reality: the threat of sexual predators exploiting transgender rights laws to prey on women and young girls.
This is about someone who was silenced by Twitter for sounding an alarm about an alleged sexual predator, while the alleged predator was protected. This is a must-read for several reasons. First, because what she says is so obviously, unquestionably true that it’s been taken as a basic fact of life for thousands of years, yet now, we’re suddenly being told it’s false and slanderous and we’re not allowed to say it. Second, notice that she sounds almost exactly like a conservative who’s been censored by Twitter for saying things that are plainly true -- yet she’s actually a feminist activist.
Politics does indeed make for strange bedfellows. Or am I still allowed to use that term?
