Having served their purpose as security/partisan media prop, thousands of National Guard troops in DC, who were already insulted by having their patriotism questioned and their political views investigated, were kicked out of the Capitol and told to go sleep on the ground in a parking garage with one electrical outlet and one bathroom for 5,000 troops. After a huge public outcry, including from Democrats such as Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, they were allowed to move back the next day.

Many are demanding to “get to the bottom of” who is responsible for this unconscionable treatment of our troops, but Matt Vespa at Townhall.com says the answer is obvious, but the media don’t want to report it.

With such disrespectful treatment, it’s no wonder Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is recalling Texas Guard troops immediately, after already threatening never to send them to DC again.

As one Guardsman put it, “Yesterday, dozens of Senators and Congressmen walked down our lines taking photos, shaking our hands and thanking us for our service. Within 24 hours, they had no further use for us and banished us to the corner of a parking garage. We feel incredibly betrayed.”

I’m sorry to say that I suspect that’s a feeling they’d better get used to. It’s also a feeling that this article in Redstate suggests may be hitting suburban Republicans who voted for Biden because they didn’t like Trump’s personality. They may quickly discover to their regret that good, pro-American policies are more important than mean tweets.

If Trump’s rhetoric was indeed the factor that cost him suburban votes, then it’s all the sadder that he didn’t heed the advice my writer Laura Ainsworth tried to give him way back in September. Reading this article again now, it’s almost scary how prescient it was.

Nobody truly believes Presodent Trump lost Suburbia votes .Anyone with a little common sense and investigating knows there was massive voter fraud. We will never forget this and the coward Republican Senators and congressmen who turned their back on him will feel the pain come midterm elections .

And some are staying until March... a military zone for a President afraid and guilty of something not right with his world.

I don’t think I’m the ONLY one who was thinking this, but the Biden clan NEEDED all those troops there, not to protect them but so it looked like someone ACTUALLY showed up to the inauguration. Biden can’t get the people to show up like President Trump could - tells you a lot right there!!!

This looks more and more like a totalitarian system being built up.
I believe the Guard was treated this way because of pure politics.

This is a national disgrace. Nancy needs to be gone. She wanted the troops for show and then disregarded them. Thank you Trump for coming to the rescue.

I have a question, ok many however for today, this is really puzzling.

Why do we need to keep The National Guard in DC till March?

The cry has been 1/6/21 Insurrection and need to create Domestic Terrorist Legislation. The DT’s during the inauguration were from the left in Oregon.
The National Guard is now being treated horrifically, forced to sleep in garages and limited to one bathroom. Thank God some Governors are calling them home.

So Elected Officials where are you and why are you using The National Guard? What are you implying, and implementing?

I believe in cool rational communication and logic, however I also know that non verbal communication is extremely important!

Shame on those politicians who use our military as photo props for their own promotion/votes!!! I suspect these politicians have no real connection to the military. I hope they soon discover who made the decision to kick these men and women out of the Capitol building.
