Since I wrote about the attempts to keep the Planned Parenthood expose under wraps, I should also share an update on a related story, the attempts to “Gaslight” you into believing that Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam never said that if a baby was born during an abortion, it should be kept comfortable while the mother talked to the doctors about whether or not to let it live.
President Trump was savaged as a liar or delusional for claiming Northam said that (I already posted a link to a video of Northam saying just that.) Another feeble defense was that the point was moot because that never, EVER happens in real life. Nancy Pelosi has blocked 80 attempts to schedule a vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, claiming it’s unnecessary because, hey, that never happens.
Except that not only does the CDC estimate that at the very least, 143 survivors of abortion were left to die between 2003 and 2014, on Tuesday, an Illinois nurse testified to Congress about her personal experience trying to comfort a baby for the 45 minutes as he was left to die alone while she was barred from providing any care for him. Her story is at this link. I warn you, it’s both chilling and heartbreaking to anyone who has a heart.
She also submitted a Chicago Sun-Times article reporting that between 10 and 20 percent of aborted babies “survive for short periods." She said she often saw them live as long as an hour or two, and one who survived for eight hours. These innocent babies all eventually died because they were denied life-saving medical care… a basic civil right that we extend to homeless people, illegal immigrants and even mass shooters. But not to victims of abortionists.
