Here is a round-up of the latest news on the violence in Israel and Gaza, and the often outrageous reactions to it in the US...

Early this morning, Israeli warplanes launched attacks on Gaza after a weekend of deadly rocket attacks. Details at the link:

The CEO of the Associated Press claimed to be “shocked and horrified” over Israel destroying a building which housed their offices (along with, unsurprisingly, Al-Jazeera’s) because it was a known Hamas terrorist headquarters. Israel gave the news agencies warnings to clear out, something Hamas doesn't do, and the government shared “smoking gun” evidence with the US that the terrorist organization was operating out of that building. But the AP is demanding an investigation.

The AP’s claims of not being aware that they were sharing a building with Hamas are raising eyebrows. As one analyst pointed out, if they’re telling the truth, then they’re incompetent reporters. And if they’re not, then they’re not only liars posing as journalists, but they also were complicit with terrorists and let their own people be used as human shields. Neither is a particularly good look for a news organization.

Luckily, a different and more reliable news organization, the satire site The Babylon Bee, is here to help the A.P. with a handy list of “Eight warning signs you might be sharing office space with terrorists.”

And here’s a reminder to the A.P. executives who are furious that their office was destroyed that when BLM protesters were destroying other people’s property, they ordered reporters to downplay that and claim that destroying property isn’t violence. This reminds me of Mel Brooks’ definition of tragedy and comedy: “Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you fall into a manhole and die.”

Meanwhile, Israel thanked the Biden Administration for its support, which I’m glad to hear, even though it seems to be rather tepid support. I suppose we should be grateful for any support at all, considering the unhinged anti-Semitism coming from some members of the Democratic Party, like the House “Squad.” And the US media, who reflexively blame Israel and always urge the Israelis to pull back and show “restraint” even as missiles are hurtling toward their children’s schools. Here’s a perfect response to such fatuous platitudes from the New York Times editors.

If you’d like to see their smug ignorance illustrated perfectly in a single photo, check this out.

It’s a nighttime photo showing, on the right side, a volley of missiles coming straight from Hamas and Palestinian militants toward Israeli population centers. On the left side, the squiggly light trails show the highly-advanced Israeli Iron Dome defense, targeting those missiles to try to stop them in mid-air before they kill innocent people. If you can look at that and not tell who the aggressor is, then you either need to get your eyes checked or your head examined.

If Biden really wants to support Israel, he might consider reinstating Trump’s sanctions on Iran and his hold on millions of US dollars being sent to the Palestinians. It’s oddly coincidental that under Trump, when all that money was withheld, they didn’t seem to be able to fund terrorists, but now, the terrorists seem to have an unlimited weapons budget. Biden will get them to stop shooting missiles at Israeli civilians by sending them more money. Sounds like a plan, or at least the same plan Democrats have for everything: throw more money at it, even if the money is what’s causing the problem in the first place.

So guess who the left is blaming for Hamas launching hundreds of missiles at Israel four months after Trump left office? If you guessed “Trump,” give yourself a Kewpie doll! In a premium article at Redstate.com, Nick Arama notes that such geopolitical analysts as Rob Reiner and George “Sulu” Takei took to Twitter to call Jared Kushner a failure because of this. It was Kushner who negotiated unprecedented peace deals between Israel and other Arab nations (none of whom are now at war with Israel, incidentally.) Those nations finally felt secure enough to do that because Trump corralled Hamas and Iran and blocked their cash flow. Biden kicked down the corral gate, sent a lot of money to the cash-starved terrorism supporters, terrorism is back, and whose fault is it? Why, Trump’s and Kushner’s, of course.

It's hard to believe that "the squad" can be so powerful. They are not
true Americans to say the least.

As long as Israel exists, the Palestinian Authority has stated that it has no interest in becoming a state itself. The fake news propaganda media reports a lot of women and children dying in Gaza, but hardly mentions any of the Jewish people being killed. The Media forgets to also mention that it was Hamas that started this new round of attacks. I wonder if the Palestinian people are happy with their Hamas controlled govt?

    Very true statement:
The AP are not only liars posing as journalists, but they also were complicit with terrorists

Perhaps the news agency chose that local, thinking they would be safe from all activities as it would be unlikely hamas would attack their own headquarters. Stupid of them to ignore advance warning.

It is beyond mind boggling that there are congressmen who think, gee, what's the big deal about "someone doing something" where 3000 people of many nations, races, religions were killed. And, shrug, so Israeli citizens have been killed. But absolutely have a meltdown when Israel punches back--why, they should just sit there and take it. These people have no business being in US government, on any level. If they are for hamas and against Israel and even the US, they should get themselves to a country they love.

Anybody buying that bunk about everything with a negative impact on the US SINCE Jan 20, 2021is a complete idiot. Now, many may not know of all that was accomplished during President Trump's tenure (watching msm only, of course) but they surely did notice improvements in so many things which have now been lost--all because of leftists (and that includes RINO's) and anti-Trumpers (and that includes some Republicans) who are bound and determined to wipe President Trump's term from the history books.

Mike, what about the gold dome. Wouldn't this be a great time for an 'accident', to 'let' a few rockets through which would destroy the dome of the rock and be Hamas fault? what do you think?
