In recent days we’ve been gifted with the astute political analysis of antiterrorism strategist Katy Perry and the hilarious cutting-edge comedy of laugh-riot Kathy Griffin. As if that weren’t enough, now we get to continue our journey towards self-enlightenment with the delicate philosophical musings of Jim Carrey.

According to Carrey, it really doesn’t matter what any of us does, because all of creation is just God’s Fidget Spinner. He knows this because...well, he doesn’t say. His advice to Griffin is that she should have held up a severed leg as well. According to Carrey, it doesn’t matter whether or not a joke is funny --- that explains much of his humor –- but it should “cross the line,” although the line “is not real,” which doesn’t make any sense, but never mind.

At the same time, he says the comedians are “the last line of defense” and “the last voice of truth.” Let’s all hope that’s not the case, especially if the last word comes from someone famous for talking out of a certain body orifice.

I agree with your comments that Kathy Griffin went too far with her stunt........and Jim Carrey is someone I do not like either......may both of them suffer full consequences for their disrespect of the President and his family, and Americans. Wish that would include them being deported and not allowed back into our country.

I never cared for Carrey's style of humor, it was always on the trashy side. He always used bodily functions in his humor, could never come up with anything better. He is a loser and a has been.

When was the last time you heard anything about Jim Carrey? He just wanted some of that spotlight on him.

Couldn't have said it better. The shame of it is that there will always be a Loon Forum for such enlightened members of glitterati to share with us and so few forums available to the people. Thank God you have one and you use it well. Much appreciated.
