Why I'm Endorsing Donald Trump for President

We’re almost 2 years away from the next Presidential election, but it’s already in full swing.  Candidates are announcing in both parties, and the media has already started their worthless, meaningless, and clueless speculating and pontificating on who’s up, who’s down, and who won’t make it to town!

Donald Trump was my 2nd choice for President in 2016.  My first choice was ME!  When I didn’t make it, I endorsed, supported, and campaigned for Donald Trump.  As President, he exceeded my expectations in implementing the America First policies that were long overdue to truly Make America Great Again.  I surprised most of my friends and some of my enemies in supporting Trump.  He often said things that were cringe-worthy, and some of the labels he affixed to political opponents and the media were harsh, if not accurate and incredibly funny.  I didn’t like all his Tweets or his comments from the podium.  And when people asked how I could support him I said it was like choosing a doctor to do surgery on a member of my family.  If my choice was between a kind, loving, praying surgeon who had the bedside manner of a pastor but who had never successfully done that particular surgery or a surgeon who was gruff, bombastic, and impatient, and who had the bedside manner of a schoolyard bully but had successfully done that surgery hundreds of times, I’d pick the guy with the questionable personality but the experienced and skillful surgical hands.

Voting for a President is not like being on a church pulpit committee and hiring a pastor.  Ideally, I’d love to have people in office who share my political views as well as my personal views and my personality.  But in the same way I choose someone to work on my car, fly the plane I’m on, repair my home air conditioner, or dry-clean my suits, I select people to work for me who are the best at what they are hired to do.  There was a reason that people were lined up on the sidewalk to get soup from “Soup Man” that we all saw on Jerry Seinfeld.  The soup was good, even if “Soup Man” was an insufferable grouch.

There are going to be some very fine people running for President in 2024 and some who could prove to be as worthless as a milk bucket under a bull, but I will again personally support President Trump so he can finish what he started during his first term.  He accomplished more to make America Great Again than any President in my lifetime—and that goes back to Eisenhower.  There were Presidents who were more articulate and had a more engaging sense of humor, such as Kennedy and Reagan.  There were some who had great legislative savvy, such as Lyndon Johnson.  Some were truly decent and kind human beings, such as Jimmy Carter and George Herbert Walker Bush.  But no President helped the country get steered away from the insanity of socialist economics and insane polices on energy, the military, and the proper role of the courts as did Donald Trump.

His tax and regulatory reforms put more than $4000 in the pockets of working-class families.  His energy policies provided us with affordable energy for our cars and homes and made us energy independent over Middle Eastern countries who hated us for the first time in 75 years.  His “tough love” to European nations who were derelict in paying their agreed-to dues for NATO actually saved NATO.  He was the first President since Reagan to NOT get us into a war, yet he advanced the pay and benefits of our military and focused on our armed forces being lethal instead of being woke.  In 2016, I introduced him in New York to 1000 pastors and said I wasn’t sure he could find John 3:16 in a marked New Testament, but NO President ever did more for religious liberty than Donald Trump.  NO President was ever as pro-life as he was, not just in what he said, but what he actually DID.  And he had the guts to move our embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, recognize it as the rightful capital of the Jewish state, and enact the ground-breaking Abraham Accords.

Maybe there are other conservative candidates for President who would do well, but who else could take and endure the relentless hate he faced and the never-ending persecutions and prosecutions of the demonic deep state?

Donald Trump is far from perfect, but then so am I.  And so are you.  But I love my country and I don’t want it to be in second place or third.  I want it to be FIRST.  And I’ll put up with a personality that can be at times vain and vulgar in order to make America Great Again and that’s why I will support him again for President.

If you are a Trump supporter, please don't do this

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg reportedly received a death threat and a white powder in the mail. It was apparently sent from Orlando. The powder was determined to be “non-hazardous,” and there was no evacuation.

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2023/03/24/death-threat-white-powder-mailed-to-manhattan-d-a-s-office-amid-trump-probe/

Just to make it clear: If you support President Trump, this is not only illegal and immoral, it’s the stupidest thing you could do. Making violent threats ranks right up there with protesting at the DA’s office (“Look! Insurrectionists!”) in terms of handing the Dems the weapon they’re craving to use against you on a silver platter. This case is falling apart nicely all on its own, and we don’t need any unforced errors from our side (that advice is also offered to President Trump, who needs to reel the rhetoric in his social media posts and realize that when your opponent is defeating himself, you should stand back and let him.)

Of course, that’s assuming this letter came from a Trump supporter, which is also highly questionable, and not some leftist trying to make us think it came from a Trump supporter. I don’t know what that powder really was, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it smelled like a set-up job.

AOC the Liar

Behold the bravery of “progressive” tellers of “truth to power!” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told some defamatory lies in Congress about Chaya Raichik, the woman who runs the Libs of TikTok Twitter account, which does nothing but repost (and bring more attention to) ridiculous social media posts put up voluntarily by leftists like AOC. (FYI: the only reason we know her name is that leftists exposed it to try to dox and intimidate her.)

https://www.foxnews.com/media/libs-tik-tok-creator-tears-aoc-after-thwarted-attempt-confront-cowered-away

So Ms. Raichik videoed herself going to AOC’s Congressional office, knocking on the door, and asking to speak to her to set the record straight. A staffer claimed AOC wasn’t in, then said, “Give me one second,” closed and locked the door and never returned. Apparently, getting in to see her is like trying to talk to the Wizard of Oz.

Ms. Raichik said, "I absolutely had no expectations for her to own up to it.“ She said she just wanted to sit down and talk with her, but “she cowered away.” So she just left a sticky note on AOC’s door requesting that she “not lie about American citizens.”

I assume AOC’s version of this will be that once again, she barely escaped being murdered by a rightwing insurrectionist.

When you believe in the rule of law: due process rights apply equally

The #MeToo movement did a lot to bring down predators like Harvey Weinstein. But it also went too far in some cases, with some people arguing that any accusation against a man had to be accepted as true because women are incapable of lying, or something.

My stance on this has remained unchanged since the earliest days of the movement: women who make accusations of sexual harassment or assault should be given a respectful hearing, but anyone accused deserves the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. It's basic due process rights, which all seemed to go out the window for a while. But maybe now, they're finally starting to make a comeback.

First, Johnny Depp refused to be canceled, took his ex to trial, and won, both legally and in the court of public opinion. And now, another cancel culture victim has been vindicated.

Justin Roiland is the co-creator of the Cartoon Network’s biggest hit series, “Rick and Morty,” and he voiced both characters. But when he was accused of felony domestic abuse, the network that had made millions off of him immediately fired him from his own show and replaced him. Not “temporarily suspended pending trial,” but “you’re through.”

But now, guess what’s happened? The Orange County DA dropped the charges due to insufficient evidence.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/rick-and-morty-co-creator-justin-roiland-s-domestic-violence-charges-dropped/ar-AA18XsYQ

A shell-shocked Roiland sounds as if he’s gotten a harsh lesson in the intolerance of allegedly liberal Hollywood. He tweeted, “I’m thankful that this case has been dismissed but, at the same time, I’m still deeply shaken by the horrible lies that were reported about me during this process…Most of all, I’m disappointed that so many people were so quick to judge without knowing the facts, based solely on the word of an embittered ex trying to bypass due process and have me ‘canceled.'”

I hope he’s not the only one who’s learned a lesson from this about the injustice of cancel culture, but that so will all those Hollywood liberals who were so quick to wave torches and act like an angry mob in a Frankenstein movie.

Personally, I have no incentive to defend the creator of the aggressively offensive “Rick and Morty.” But I defended the due process rights of both Brett Kavanaugh and Andrew Cuomo. That’s what it means when you believe in the rule of law: due process rights apply equally to everyone, whether you agree with their politics or not.

Let’s hope Hollywood finally learns that, and that so does the Biden DOJ.

And yet another reason why Democrats don’t want parents to have any say over schools

A new Grinnell College National Poll found that 58% of parents think it’s unacceptable for teachers to talk about their personal political views in the classroom. That includes 68% of Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents.

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2023/03/23/poll-majority-of-americans-say-public-school-teachers-should-not-discuss-politics/

I can just hear the leftist teachers now: “You don’t want us to tell students about our politics, you don’t want us to talk about our sex lives in the classroom…What DO you want us to talk about?!”

Stop helping us

Remember how the Democrats were going to ban gas stoves; then when it became news, they denied it and claimed it was crazy MAGA Republican propaganda; and then once the outrage blew over, they went right back to banning gas stoves? Well, now they’re coming for your air conditioning. This could be the final straw that makes Texas declare itself an independent republic again.

https://www.westernjournal.com/not-just-gas-stoves-biden-administration-announces-crackdown-another-appliance/

They claim they’re not banning AC units, they are just going to “help us” by requiring that they be more energy efficient. In reality, that means meddling bureaucrats who know zip about manufacturing A/C units will tell people who do make them that they must achieve impossible energy goals (shades of government auto mileage standards.) That will drive up costs and force many less expensive units out of production, making it harder for anyone other than rich people to afford air conditioning. Oh, but don’t worry: if you can still afford an air conditioner, it might save you as much as 15 dollars a year on your energy bills.

If this sounds familiar, maybe it’s because just last month, they proposed similar rules to save the Earth from climate change by making washing machines worse.

https://news.yahoo.com/biden-washing-machine-rule-americans-214054133.html

We’ll probably end up paying more for “energy efficient” washing machines that defeat the whole purpose because we’ll have to wash our clothes twice to get them clean. Much like they’re “saving water” by forcing people to buy low-flow toilets that have to be flushed two or three times.

And this is why Ronald Reagan said that the most terrifying words in the English language are “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help you.”
