Wow, here’s something you don’t see every day: two politically-oriented Twitter users have been banned from the site permanently for breaching terms of service – and they’re not conservatives!

The banished twits are Brian and Ed Krassenstein, two virulently anti-Trump brothers who had, respectively, 700,000 and 900,000 followers.  A Twitter spokesperson said, “The Twitter Rules apply to everyone.” However, the anti-Trump bros didn’t get the boot merely for tweeting something that someone took offense to, but for "operating multiple fake accounts" and "purchasing account interactions" to inflate their influence.

So while it’s definitely “man bites dog” level news for a tech giant to ban a couple of lefties, we now know just how big an infraction that actually takes.  If you want me to believe both sides are treated equally, then tell me when someone on the left is banned for simply expressing an opinion that offends NRA members.

Twitter’s permanent ban of a couple of leftists had me thinking I might have woken up in Bizarro World this morning.  But then I saw this story about what happened to an engineer who worked for Google and made the fatal mistake of letting his co-workers know he was a Republican.

And then I realized that I was still in the same old Bizarro World we were all living in yesterday.

Sen. Corey Booker hopes to give his lagging presidential campaign a boost by cashing in on the Alabama pro-life law and announcing that if he’s elected President, he’ll bring abortion right into the White House.  Well, not literally, although I’m sure Planned Parenthood would love to set up a clinic there, and I imagine most of the Democrats running would be delighted to give them space in the East Wing.

Booker says that he will set up a special initiative right in the White House to “advance reproductive rights” which will be called the “White House Office of Reproductive Freedom.”  As the writer at the link notes, that sounds more palatable to voters than the “White House Office of Killing Babies.”  “Reproductive rights” and “reproductive freedom” are the latest fuzzy euphemisms to join “pro-choice” as ways of saying “killing children in the womb” without actually having to say it.

At the link, Booker goes on about all the things he’ll do to make abortion not “safe, legal and rare,” which used to be the mantra of the left, but legal, available from any ill-educated quack or uninspected clinic, and as plentiful as hot dogs at a ballpark.  He even vows that one of his first moves would be to try to repeal the Hyde Amendment, so that our federal taxpayer dollars could be used to pay for more abortions.

I am staunchly pro-life, but after reading this, I look forward to the day, coming soon I hope, when we will be referring to Sen. Booker’s campaign in the past tense as “Corey Booker’s abortive presidential run.”

With so much negativity in the news these days, how about a story that will restore your faith in your fellow human beings?  It’s a remarkable story about how two people connected who, according to all the current favored media narratives, should have been at each other’s throats.  One is an African-American woman, the other a white, male police officer.  I’ll bet some reporters are salivating already.

But hold on.  In this story, the police officer spotted the woman doing something extraordinary.  He stopped to offer help.  They talked and discovered they had much in common, from their faith to the way they were raised.  After they parted as friends, the officer decided he wanted to help her more, and what he did inspired another person to step in and do something else extraordinary and…

Well, just read the story.  It will wash the bad vibes from the rest of the news right out of your mind.

I was a guest last night on Laura Ingraham’s show on Fox News, to talk about the strange game of “I know you are but what am I?” that Speaker Pelosi is trying to goad President Trump into playing.  First, she accused him of engaging in a cover-up in a transparent attempt to distract attention from all the documents he’s declassifying so the public can see them (he’s apparently as bad at cover-ups as he is at colluding with Russia).  Then she used a meeting to discuss a bipartisan effort to rebuild America’s infrastructure to attack and insult him, and when he walked out of the meeting, accused him of putting politics ahead of fixing infrastructure.

But most baffling of all, Pelosi questioned Trump’s mental stability and suggested that his family should stage an intervention.  Funny, a lot of us have been thinking the same thing lately, but not about Trump. Trump even held a press conference afterward to question Pelosi’s mental acuity (he said he’s been watching her, and “she’s a mess.”)  And he let his staffers take the mics to testify that Pelosi’s claims about him throwing a temper tantrum and storming out were completely false.  They said he was very calm and direct in telling the Democrats that they needed to work together, and they were making that impossible by insisting on fighting.

Trump said he can’t work with Congress until they stop the endless "resistance" and phony investigations of every aspect of his Administration, private finances, businesses and family.  Pelosi accused him of holding legislation hostage by refusing to work with Congress.  She claimed she was ready to work with him on important issues.  Yet when he met with her and Chuck Schumer to do just that, she killed the meeting with partisan attacks.

So I think the safe takeaway from all this is that nothing will be accomplished by this Democratic House for the next two years other than more attempts to obtain Trump’s old garbage from the New York City dump so they can root through it.  And if they still find nothing, then they’ll impeach him for littering, and the Senate will reject it, and their entire term will go down as the biggest waste of time and taxpayer money in Congressional history.

Speaking of investigations, Pelosi and the Democrats claim that they must continue on in order to insure that the American people are fully informed.  But most Americans seem to think we know enough already, and they'd like to see Congress get something done.

We’ve already had House and Senate investigations, plus a two-year, $35 million special counsel investigation by professional and motivated-by-bias prosecutors, and all of them came up dry.  Now, we are expected to believe that committees run by the low mental wattage current Democratic leaders are going to pull a Hardy Boys and discover evidence overlooked by all the professionals.  To give you an idea of the odds of that, this week, one of the loudest Trump critics, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, demanded at a hearing that the acting DHS director create an internal task force to investigate the deaths of migrant children.  The baffled official responded that we already have those.

This is why I compare these House Democrats who just keep demanding more and more investigations to kids who are still looking for Easter eggs on the Fourth of July.

As for which leader is truly “losing it”: I regularly see Trump stand up in front of tens of thousands of people and wing 90-minute speeches, filled with explanations of policy initiatives and hilariously entertaining asides.  I also regularly see Pelosi stand in front of small, friendly groups of reporters and struggle to push a noun against a verb with any coherence. So you make the call.

She will have the cover of the media, of course, which will continue to paint Trump as demented and Pelosi as brilliant.  CNN political historian Douglas Brinkley lauded her this week as the “glue” that is holding Washington together.  If she’s glue, then I suspect he’s been sniffing it.

There was one good thing to come out of all this back-and-forth about who’s too dotty to be near the levers of power: it inspired Laura Ingraham to deliver the funniest line I’ve heard all week.  In response to Pelosi and Joe Biden questioning Trump’s mental sharpness, Laura said she’d been watching Nancy and Joe closely, and “They look like they belong in commercials for Visiting Angels.”

I think Rep Lee must have learned at the knee of good ol' maxine. I about choked reading about her intensive, hard-hitting questioning of bankers about what are they going to do about the student loan mess. Too bad some of her staffers didn't proofread her notes and let her know obama took over the student loans by 2010 (or was it 2012?) I can only imagine the committees they have up and running to second guess their man mueller and his buddies and do more "investigation." Hopefully, anyone they call on will bring transcripts of their interrogation by the kangaroo court and the FBI, etc, and just read from them to answer the questions.

While the Dems are accusing Trump of cover-up he has authorized AG Barr to release as much information about the Russian probe as possible and Adam Shift is accusing him of being un-american for doing so

Governor Huckabee , my family were democrats for as long as I can remember and my brothers and I were born during the depression. The democrats that I remember voting for were doing things for the best of our country. I believe the democrats started going down hill with Bill Clinton and Obama took it down hill to where the democrats are today, low life trying to ruin our country. I switched over to republican starting with President Regan. Nancy Pelosi and her buddy Chuck are a disgrace to our country along with most of those democrats running for president. Instead of trying to help run the country for the benefit of all, they spend all of their time trying to take down President Trump.
I believe Chuck , Nancy, Sanders and that idiot Cortez have mental problems and we must back Trump to the fullest extent to prevent the
democrats from taking our country down to their level.

I wish we saw more stories like the one about the Slidell police officer and Miss Anita. Young people need role models and these two people are the kind of role models they need.

Dear Governor, I know it is unusual to leave a second comment, but I wanted to address the issue of abortion in this one.
When my daughter and her husband discovered they were going to have their first child, they were stationed quite a distance from us so we did not see them very often. But...the news was wonderful....and in our frequent conversations, everything was always going great. I accepted what they said about not wanting to know if the expected baby was a boy or girl--that they wanted to be surprised.
It was not until after the baby was born that I learned how much stress they had endured.
You see, my daughter (early in pregnancy) had learned she had thyroid cancer, and opted to put off surgery and treatment until six weeks after their child was born.
Because of this condition, a test was given and they were told that there was a 95 to 97% chance that the child she was carrying would be a Down's Syndrome child.
They immediately responded to the physician that "They viewed all children as gifts from God, and they would accept any gift He bestowed on them....and deal with any issues."
They gave birth to a daughter.
This year, that daughter (exceptional in both academics, music, & sports) graduated Magna Cum Laude from a University in as a Nurse Practioner....and she did not have to pay for college or living expenses, having received two scholastic scholarships.
They also have two sons....and both of them are also extremely brilliant in academics, music, and the arts.
I also count it as a great blessing that they are all faithful Christians, pro-life, and conservatives.
I seriously question the "markers" listed for the Down Syndrome test, as I also know a few others who have proved them highly inaccurate.
I also wonder how many other people like my grand daughter and others have we lost to this world due to abortion.
All human life is a gift from God.

You were so funny on the show last night. Whenever the ads say you will be a guest on a news show I make a point of watching it. I voted for you in the 2016 CA primary. But maybe your access to modes of communication is just as important a job.

Dear Governor, Great column tonight (as usual)...informative, enternaining, and also...thanks for the uplifting article!
But...PLEASE....don't compare this idiotic Democratic group to the Hardy Boys! I read all those books as a youngster as well as Judy Bolton, Nancy Drew, Skip Hilton....and the kids in all those series were FAR more astute and brilliant than any of these current Democrat characters.
In fact....being from Judy Garland's home town (yes...I also read those books as a kid)...there is a Garland Museum that is really a "Wizard of Oz" museum. So....for a long time I thought I knew who best fit the casting call as the "Wicked Witch of the West" character...(Hillary)...but now....have a new actor for that....and there seems to be a lot of Democratic talent for most of the characters....except....there would be no redeeming values--unfortunately no brains, no courage, no afraid these people will never actually find themselves back in the reality of Kansas.
Additionally, I did hear something on the radio yesterday....said that it is a fact that "the lower the water gets in the swamps, the bigger and more viscious the alligators in the swamps become." Hmmmmm....

I have searched for explanations as to the Why and How so many Americans can be so uninformed or ill informed and have to lay It at the hands of academia. Why we continue to even listen to the media is mind boggling. I guess they believe they have the power of federal judges.

It's sad to watch the democratic party spiraling downward. The only thing that is more sad is the democratic supporters that cant see what's happening right before their eyes. If they see nothing else, I wish they would see the total waste of time and money.

I thought Laura line was good also; however after the Angels come in and change their clothes I think they should be fitted for a straight jacket with all the arm movement she is going to poke an eye out or someone else's; can you see her feeding herself with big boy silverware her face would look like the opening of a salt shaker she is about too harm herself. I heard Clapper today try and put a sentence together I thought of calling 911 to see if he was having a seizure my goodness these people where not very stable a couple of years ago to watch them now is frightful. When I commented these Lefties are in a state of decay I am now watching them turn into compost its time for them to be taken care of in Assisted Living they are long gone. After all the lies corruption lawlessness has finally eaten their brains alive they have become one step closer to being a zombie. This is what our future Lefties will become younger zombies...........

How many times in the Bible did God defeat the enemy by confusion. What the Dems are doing looks mighty crazy to us. To them, they have a battle plan. They keep looking for deception. But I just want to say, if the shoe fits, wear it! It doesn't fit President Trump's foot. And I have been saying for awhile, Pelosi looks awful. She's so power hungry, it's destroying her.

Maybe grid-lock in the house is not so bad. Just supposed Pelosi were able to get some of the dem proposed legislation through the house. We can wait until January 2021, and Nanny Pelosi and Schmuckie Schumer will, hopefully, become answers to a trivia question.

As the old saying goes, "As Maine goes, so goes the nation." I pray to God this is not true. Maine is on the verge of, if it has not already passed, a bill that will allow abortions without a doctor present. The new governor (D) and the house(D) and senate (D) have already undone and spent all the money that the last governor (R) spent 8 long hard years putting into the states rainy day fund and even people on her side say that there is no way that the state can pay for her budget without tax increases and they have already tried passing a whole bunch of them. God help us!

I deeply resent all of the taxpayer money that is being wasted by this do-nothing Democrat-controlled House. Is this going to be another two years of Pelosi and the Democrats finding fault with EVERYTHING about Trump and his Administration? The Mueller investigation cost billions of dollars, found no collusion of Trump/Russia and STILL they are not satisfied. Our country has already admitted the number of illegals that would fill the country of Guatemala, all because the Democrats sit on their hands, and refuse to change our out-dated Immigration Laws, and build the wall in areas along our border that are most vulnerable to people breaking in. Why pay the salaries of government workers like Pelosi/Schummer/Never-Trumpers, etc., if they refuse to do their job??? This is exactly why I believe in small government; this one has far outgrown its usefulness.
