It was great fun going on JUSTICE WITH JUDGE JEANINE (as in Pirro) this weekend to talk with her and fellow guest Dan Bongino about last week’s twin disasters: 1) Mueller’s disconnected testimony, and 2) Jerrold Nadler’s surreal press conference afterwards.

As for the Mueller hearings that took place on Wednesday, I had to say that if the Democrats thought they were going to “put a movie to the book” that was the special counsel report, that movie turned out to be WEEKEND AT BERNIE’S. We could all laugh because we'd seen for ourselves that there was very little brain activity on Mueller’s part --- just enough to make sure that any questions about the Steele dossier and the FBI’s activities were not answered. Staying away from what was NOT supposed to be answered seemed to be Mueller's most important consideration.

As lost as he appeared at times, Mueller was consistent in one thing: he just would not “go there.” In fact, he simply refused to answer over a hundred questions. I didn’t even know a witness could do that --- pick and choose the questions to answer and not to answer. You’re supposed to either answer every question or take the Fifth Amendment on everything. Say, who’s obstructing justice around here?

As for Nadler’s press conference, attended as well by a gaggle of other grim-looking Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee, it’s hard to know if he watched the same Mueller testimony as the rest of us did. If he did, then either he needs to be put in a padded room with no sharp objects or he was deliberately lying to us all. (Maybe at this point, it’s both.) “He [Mueller] told us Donald Trump obstructed justice and abused his office by tampering with witnesses, attempted to block investigation, and attempted to fire the special counsel,” Nadler said. Um, none of that is true.

Nadler and the other Democrat members of Congress participating in this farce have a greater imagination than my grandkids, and they have a pretty vivid imagination, let me tell you! And where did the concept of “innocent until proven guilty” go? No one has shown that Trump did anything. In fact, he has been able to prove he DIDN’T do things he's been accused of, a task that no American is obligated to perform and that is often impossible for an innocent person to do. He’s been incredibly transparent, even allowing his family members and his own attorney to be grilled for many hours, and he let the investigation proceed unimpeded when there were aspects of it that he had complete authority as President to shut down.

Doesn’t matter. Nadler & friends appear to have been on the planet Jupiter while Mueller was testifying. What Nadler is saying now about continuing the investigation is complete nonsense. Yet Democrats on the Judiciary Committee are going pedal-to-the-metal on impeachment. They are out of their minds.

Bongino agreed that what the Democrats said about Trump during that press conference was “just delusional.” Thanks to Dan for bringing up the fact that it was Hillary Clinton who actually destroyed evidence (on a massive scale, I would add), obstructed justice and showed the general dishonesty and lack of character they’re trying desperately to pin on Donald Trump.

Dan made a really interesting point: that Steele and Mueller were BOTH “fronts” for their reports. Obviously, someone else (probably Andrew Weissmann assisted by a few on his team) wrote the Mueller report. Dan has information suggesting that the Steele “dossier” was largely written by someone else and sourced from third-hand gossip.

Judge Jeanine tried not to come down too hard on Mueller, as he obviously is “very limited,” she said. Her problem is with the people around him, the members of his team, because they made him “nothing more than a front for the Deep State.” As Mueller couldn’t even identify who Glenn Simpson was, or Fusion GPS (the oppo research company that hired Christopher Steele), that clearly is true.

So, why hasn’t the FISA court done anything to address the way it was misused? Well, first of all, we don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, and it’s likely that Attorney General Barr and others at the Justice Department are already quietly working with them to determine what happened with those warrant applications during 2016 and 2017. Mueller obviously looked the other way, and now he dismisses any questions about the FBI and the FISA court by saying, “That’s not in my purview.” Since when? Mueller was tasked with investigating Russian interference in our electoral process and “related matters.” We see now that if it didn’t relate to Trump and the Trump campaign, it was not related. In fact, it didn’t even count.

Since Rod Rosenstein ostensibly “oversaw” the Mueller investigation and wrote the original memo outlining its scope, let’s hope AG Barr is all over that. How is it even possible to investigate a Trump/Russia conspiracy without looking at what the FBI did and where they got the information that sparked their probe in the first place? For all anybody knows, it could have come from the NATIONAL ENQUIRER. As I told Judge Jeanine, my pal Larry Gatlin would call it “bovine droppings.”

You know, it’s ironic that Mueller criticized Trump’s written answers to the special counsel for being “incomplete.” If Trump were tasked with filling in those blanks today, after hearing the laughably incomplete testimony given by Mueller, he’d surely be tempted just to write, “Not in my purview...not in my purview...” in answer to every one.

If you like what Judge Jeanine --- and her excellent guests --- had to say about the Mueller hearings, you’ll love Kyle Smith’s latest column in the NEW YORK POST. (Nadler is his congressman, and Smith has long known how he operates.) Smith gives us our Quote of the Day: “Mueller spent two years nosing around, more time than it took to build Disneyland, but all he built for the Dems was a Tragic Kingdom.”

Enjoy.

My son thinks Mueller isn’t as stupid and out of touch as he appeared in the hearings. Mueller is a well trained Marine with a “code of ethics”. He didn’t want to testify at the hearings. He was forced to testify. He played his role “as dumb as a fox” extremely well. He knew they all had only 5 minutes each so he fumbled for papers, stuttered, etc. as a way of “killing time”. I’m tending to agree with my son. What say you??

As one who had a close-up look at the Clintons, I appreciate your views of corruption. How it is that Hillary's crimes were overlooking and the microscope was placed on Trump and all his associates is a travesty. I am in Colorado, where I once was privileged to work about 18 months for a man you will know, Colorado Gov. Bill Owens, let me say I married a woman from Heber Springs, Ark., and we enjoy your TBN show. Keep up the good work.

    Mr. Huckabee,
In your opinion, is there any way to stop the democrats from spending endless taxpayer money and time trying to destroy our President? In my mind, there must be one group or one person who could bring all his supporters together to stop this insanity. I am so upset and frustrated with what they are doing to the President and the fact he has spent his entire presidency so far fighting one lie after another. How about we all get together and show the Republicans how to stand up for him. We haven't tried anything as a group. The Republicans may just have to pull some cheap tricks to show the Dems we have guts! We may just have to stop being the nice guys!
    Thanks for your time.

I do hope and pray that Mr. Barr really gets to the bottom and restore my faith in the American Justice System and the Intelligence Agencies of America, Obama/Biden criminalization of our government.
Now my eyes have been uncovered from being hoodwinked I can not help but to believe that the Democratic National Party is now communistic in thought.
Afraid of civil war to come from this and I will be the outlaw for being for the American Heritage I been raised with.

A thief is always the first to point a finger at someone else. What have Nadler and Schiff done that has created a state of panic on their part? I hope President Trump and AG Barr go on the offensive and start charging some of the known guilty, especially Hillary, with crimes. The rats will flee the ship.

I always felt the Mueller investigation was the Dem's effort to swing the 2018 elections in their favor. Unfortunately it worked by giving them a majority that continues to work against the Country. Their other plan was to pull a "Hillary" and destroy or misrepresent any evidence that alluded to unlawful misconduct on their behalf. I pray that A.G. Barr is the one who gifts us with the Ah Ha moment we've been waiting for.

Governor Huckabee: Greetings in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ!! Don't buy Mueller's Mr Magoo act. I believe he is pretending to "forget" the facts so he doesn't get prosecuted for crimes he committed in his sham investigation! As far as Nadler goes either money or reelection is the true motivation for impeachment. We watch you every Saturday. We love you and yiur family!!

Mike, can someone answer where was it's Mueller's purview to prosecute Manafort and Cohen on the charges he did. It seems their cases had nothing to do with Mueller's marching orders. With this in mind Mueller then had no excuses to not answer any / all questions pertaining to the Steele Doiser, Fusion GPS and ties back to Hillary and the DNC. It is clear Nadper and Schiff have it out for OUR PRESIDENT and it is time for us to stop this non sense, is their not an ethics committee or some way we the people could not file a lawsuit against these IDIOTS.

It's not delusional to lie when you know the liberal media will swear to the lies. Democrats know they can outright lie because average Americans don't have the luxury of listening to seven hours of live testimony; they depend, unfortunately, on media to be impartial. As we were reminded recently: then-Senate majority leader Harry Reid lied that Mitt Romney hadn't paid his taxes before the Obama-Romney presidential election. When the election was over and Romney lost, Reid was challenged too late about the lie. His reply: "He didn't win, did he?" Bottom line: we know Dems lie without fear of the truth coming out because lies help them win. The same is going on right now with Pelosi, Nadler, Schiff, et al, who state boldly that Trump committed a crime yet with no evidence. It's truly frightening that the media remains silent to keep the Dem false narrative going.

Do you actually remember how Christians are not supposed to lie?? Apparently you have! Am i incorrect in saying that pressure to impeach is coming from representatives of two states, CA and NY. I think that those of us who voted for President Trump (all 60+ million) should flood congress, especially all the Dems with cease and desist and get on with your job as lawmaker not witch hunter.

notice the words "attempted" used twice by Nadler. A crime has to be "COMMITTED" before it is a crime. Jerry Nadler really IS that brain dead. He can't charge ANYone with a crime they only thought about. now, what I want to see is Nadler NAME the crime and when it happened. Name the witness DT tampered with. Prove that witness was tampered with and what testimony was altered. Name the instance DT impeded the investigation in any way AFTER Mueller admitted there was no such impeding of any kind.. Yes, Mike I think he needs a padded cell. He is not even rational and next door should be kerosene maxine. Your job in congress is not to FIND a crime, that crime must already exist. Muelller could not find a crime, and Nadler can't either. He lacked the integrity and moral fiber to even look for one. Someone needs to take Nadler aside and slap some sense in him. His job is NOT to find a crime. He is a legislator. Finding a crime is for the DOJ.

I have seen on TV news that Barr is investigating the whole business with an eye to bringing charges against a sizable group of people, I will call Traitors, involved with the DOJ/FBI's deliberate attempt to overthrow the constitutional election of Trump. I understand from that same news program that Hilary's criminal activity is being investigated as well. Giving what is being said each of these people did, I volunteer to command the Firing Squad. Nadler should be thrown in for good measure.

I think that the most incredible thing about these theatrics is not the priceless idiocy of the relentless Progressive Leftists like Nadler, but that anyone with enough brains to not put their finger in their eye when picking their nose actually believes this nonsense.
