The Salvation Army, which has a long history of helping all people in need, has been slandered as an anti-LGBTQ “hate group.” (Here’s an excellent article on how they really operate, as well as a reminder of what a hotbed of racism, sexual harassment, lies and money-grubbing is the Southern Poverty Law Center, source of so much of the “traditional Christianity = ‘hate’” nonsense: https://www.christianpost.com/voice/the-salvation-army-is-a-hate-group.html )
This type of vicious falsehood is behind Chick-fil-A’s abandoning of the Salvation Army (and its own founders’ principles.)
But as liberals constantly puzzle over why Trump supporters stick by him, here’s a reminder: during the lighting ceremony for the National Christmas Tree, he made a special point of praising the Salvation Army and its Angel Tree program to provide a nice Christmas for poor children.
You see, we stand by him when he’s falsely accused because he stands by us when we’re falsely accused. Is that really so hard to figure out?
By the way, if you’d like to make up for the lost donations due to leftist slander, you can help the Salvation Army by going here:
And while we’re on the subject of making Christmas merry for children who might otherwise go without, here are a couple of other organizations that deserve your support. Christmas is just 16 days away, and the Marines' annual Toys For Tots drive is in the home stretch and needs all the donations it can get. You can find their collection boxes at various stores listed at their website, or donate directly online at https://www.toysfortots.org/
And there’s Samaritan’s Purse and its Christmas Child program, which delivers shoeboxes full of gifts, both toys and necessities, to poor children all over the world. Here's a recent interview from “Huckabee” on TBN where the Rev. Franklin Graham explains the program and tells a truly miraculous story of how God directed the perfect gift to a shivering young boy in Kosovo.
You can help those children at http://www.SamaritansPurse.org
I hope you’ll support all three of these worthy organizations. Amid all the Christmas shopping frenzy, some people forget that it’s more blessed to give than to receive, but this is the time of year when it’s especially important to remember that.
The Daily Beast is the furthest thing from a conservative website. So when they run an article protesting the Democrats’ looming all-white Presidential debate, and incidentally throw in an accusation that leftist billionaire Tom Steyer bought his way onto the stage by running “what amounts to a scam,” selling swag below cost with free shipping then counting the buyers as “donors”…well, you can’t exactly claim that’s a biased right-wing attack.
A vegan “social media influencer” who went for years eating nothing but plant-based foods had so many health problems that, in desperation, she tried the “Carnivore Diet.” For 30 days, she ate nothing but meat and animal products such as eggs and dairy.
The result? “I woke up the next morning feeling more mentally clear, focused, wholesome, and healthy than I had felt in years.”
If she really wants to feel better than she’s ever felt, I’d be happy to introduce her to barbecue. Naturally, her vegan followers were not happy about her honesty or biology. But I wouldn’t worry about it. I doubt that they’ll come after her. I’m surprised they even had the strength to tap their keyboards.
Monday Fake News Round-Up:
No, CNN and MSNBC, President Trump didn’t say that Article II of the Constitution gives him the power to do “whatever I want.” It's pretty well known that that video had been deceptively edited. Even worse, they were taking about it because the Democrats showed it during their “impeachment” hearing. So I guess this is a two-fer: fake news and fake evidence.
No, Media Matters and all the other liberal news outlets, pundits and politicians who swallowed and repeated their misleading story: Nikki Haley did not defend the Confederate flag.
No, producers of Amazon’s “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” the late Phyllis Schlafly was not a bigot and anti-Semite who condemned what she thought was a conspiracy of powerful Jews. The “Eastern establishment kingmakers” of the Republican Party that she criticized were all WASPs.
Finally, no, Marianne Williamson followers (and Marianne Williamson): President Trump did not posthumously pardon Charles Manson. That was from a satirical “news” site. It’s called “The Moron Majority,” and man, do they know their target audience.
“War On Christmas” Claims Friendly Fire Victim: The head teacher at a primary school in the UK took it upon himself to ban the longtime tradition of students exchanging Christmas cards, because printing holiday messages on paper somehow contributes to climate change and is DESTROYING THE EARTH!!! He informed the parents of this by…(drumroll)…mailing a printed letter to the homes of all 275 students.
I’ll let you go to the link and read the reactions of the parents to his attempt to be green by acting like the Grinch, only with a dumber plan to steal Christmas. He’s lucky they didn’t hang him by the chimney with care.
Our Huck’s Hero story of the day is also our feel-good story of the day. Happy birthday to retired Army Air Force Col. Charles McGee, a member of the famed Tuskegee Airmen, the first African American unit to fly combat missions in World War II. Col. McGee flew 409 fighter combat missions in three wars, but he not only survived, on Saturday, he celebrated his 100th birthday.
And here’s how he celebrated it: by flying a private jet from Maryland to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, where a party was held in his honor. Check out these photos.
I hope I look that good when I’m 70, and I know I darn sure won’t be piloting any planes to my birthday party.
