Today's Commentary:  Trump to Ohio  -- Sanctuary Cities are about to end  -- Susan Rice bails -- Nuancing Satan -- Trump backs Obama policy for now -- News Bits (NEW)

President Trump announced that he will hold his next rally in Youngstown, Ohio, on July 25th. This might have initially been to promote his “Made In America” theme celebrating American business and workers. But don’t be surprised if it now includes a little direct communication to Republican voters to hold their Representatives’ and Senators’ cold feet to the fire on issues like Obamacare.

If you haven't signed my No Recess Until Repeal petition please do so today here:  www.NoRecessUntilRepeal.com.  Thanks!

Sincerely,

Mike Huckabee

Sanctuary cities are about to end

By Mike Huckabee

Immigration and Customs Enforcement Acting Director Thomas Homan had some blunt words and bad news Tuesday for what he called “ludicrous” sanctuary cities that refuse to comply with federal law in turning over criminal illegal immigrants to ICE. Homan said he’s gotten a green light to hire 10,000 new ICE agents, and he’ll be sending them into sanctuary cities. The message to everyone from illegal entrants to politicians is that ICE will “enforce the laws on the books without apology,” and “it’s not OK to violate the laws of this country anymore, you’re going to be held accountable.”

There are more good quotes at the link. Sorry, he didn’t tell sanctuary city officials, “Go ahead, make my day,” but he might as well have.

Susan Rice bails

By Mike Huckabee

Former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice was scheduled to be grilled by Congress Tuesday about her alleged involvement in the unmasking of Trump associates caught up in the government surveillance of people they’d talked to. But lo and behold, something more important came up, and she wasn’t able to make it. What a surprise.

Incidentally, a reminder: the unmasking of Trump’s associates by officials leaking classified surveillance info to the media is, so far, the only actual federal crime that’s been associated with the entire “Russia, Russia, Russia” hysteria.

Nuancing Satan?

By Mike Huckabee

Belle Plain, Minnesota, was about to become the only town in America that had a Satanic monument at the local veterans memorial park. Satanists had complained about a Christian-oriented memorial, so to prevent the usual threatened lawsuit by the Freedom From Religion Foundation, the City Council created a “Free Speech Zone” where any religion could erect a memorial. But the very idea of a Satanic memorial being placed on grounds dedicated to fallen veterans was more than most residents were willing to tolerate. The protests became so large and impassioned that the City Council just voted to do away with the Free Speech Zone entirely.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Satanic Temple claimed that the group celebrates Satan only as a “metaphorical construct” of rebellion, and they’re not really embracing Satan. They’d better hope Satan understands their metaphorical nuance. Otherwise, I think I know where he’d tell them to go.

Trump backs Obama policy for now

By Mike Huckabee

It was reported Tuesday that President Trump had decided to re-certify the Obama nuclear deal with Iran. There was much gloating in the media about “meet-the-new-boss/same-as-the-old-boss,” but that’s not the full story. Trump was reportedly so furious about reports of Iran violating the terms of the deal that he was ready to rescind it, but some of his top advisers lobbied him to certify Iran as being in compliance, for now. However, the Administration promised to create a new strategy to counter Iran’s aggression and place new sanctions on Iran for its “malign activities.” We’ll see if that forces Iran to comply. And when it doesn’t, maybe Trump will ignore his advisers next time.

News Bits

President Trump picked Jon Huntsman as ambassador to Russia. Huntsman will hold a get-acquainted meeting with the Russian ambassador, followed by six months of investigations into why he met with a Russian.

Two feminist scholars from Rutgers University put out a paper arguing that research studies should rely less on the work of white, male, heterosexual scientists because it’s tainted by their “white heteromasculinism.” They want science papers to reflect more diversity by citing studies by female, minority and gay scientists. This despite the arguments that (1.) there simply are more white, straight males doing science research, and (2.) scientific facts have no relation to the race, gender or sexuality of the people who discover them. However, the paper does makes a very convincing case that researchers should not rely on the work of feminist scholars from Rutgers.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer claims that Democrats are willing to work with Republicans to “fix” Obamacare, but not to repeal it. He went into a lengthy, very tortured metaphor comparing Obamacare to a patient and the politicians to surgeons, but I’m going to let you click the link and torture yourself with it, if you want. Here’s the short version: the Democrats aren’t surgeons. They’re like medieval quacks who have one prescription for every ailment: inject more money into the problem while simultaneously bleeding the taxpayers. That's their solution to Obamacare, and they want the Republicans to go along with it.

Health care, easy fix. Mandate every employer must provide health care insurance for their employees, one or 1m.Example,if the food industry pooled their insurance needs ,mon and pop could be right there with mcD,s and so on each pool funds their on,to my point let the market place sort it out and the government is out. What a relief, the master legislator could take a permanent vacation,

Greetings GOV Huckabee > I hope you have opinions and ongoing commentaries on the deplorable "Fair&Balanced" Cable TV news reporting policies @ FOX NEWS. My experience
is as follows : most of those DIMDEM "special contributers" are really just radical / partisan
talking heads (like Morning Joe, W.Blitzer, A.Cooper and other mainstream conservative haters). The ones we see mostly are lower skilled - entry level amateurs whose goals are simply to boost Democrat Party rebuilding with age-old liberal propaganda. Public results for
Republican boosters and 2016 voters is to: A) Cease or limit watching most FOX anchors and
reporters who must always introduce their "Panel" partners in every boring news edition !
    B) Watching ONLY Lou Dobbs, Hannity, Tucker Carlson, L.Ingraham and M. Bartholamew.

It doesn't say whether or not Rice notified congress that she wouldn't be able to make it to her session of being questioned. What ordinary citizen gets to just say something more important came up and not go? Ordinary people would have a LOT of 'splaining to do, and I'm betting the people in charge of the sessions would be deciding for me what is more important. Like, someone in my immediate family (not brothers and sisters, just kids and parents) is critically ill/injured/dying. Or, I'm in the hospital with some extreme illness that requires immediate hospitialization--in ICU. She's known long enough to not make appointments, or to change them (someone of her importance could easily change any doctor/dentist/lawyer appointment.) They would probably even go storming after President Trump if he decided something more important came up.

t to comment on Healthhcare. compromise: keep Obama care for the people that want it. Vote in a non-goverment run Healthcare. Then the American people can have a Choice of healthcare they can choose from that is right for there family. But take out the Mandate that penalize the American people if they do not choose a health care.

You probably know this already Mike but Hungary is working to disclose or unmask George Soros' clandestine operations around the world as the EU attacks them & Poland for not going along with Soros' immigration plans. Could you speak on this further as I'm sure I'm missing the details as well as ther probably aren't many people in the US that know this is happening right now!
Thank you Gov. Huckabee & God Bless

Hello, Mike! Hope you and yours are well in Christ! Thanks, for your news summaries each day. Seems it's the only place to get honest factual news. Don't listen to the national, liberal news anymore. Just their own social engineering project to blast their own vision of America.

Firstly, have sad news for the Satanists. Jesus said you are either for Him or against Him. The only choice people really have to make in life. They cannot be just kidding. By rejecting Jesus they are in fact worshipping Satan.

Secondly, does anybody else see the grand theme of politics playing out today. Republicans like Jeff Sessions, Rodgers and others are pore than willing to testify whenever they are asked to do so. Yet, dems seldom do so. When they do go to testify, they plead the fifth, like Abedeen and others, or simply skirt the issues and try to be smart like our previous FBI director. Looking in from the outside, who seems to be the most patriotic, and most importantly, the most Un-patriotic? I've seen Republicans like Sessions show care and concern for his job and America. I've seen democrats like Harry Reid and Hillary say whatever to promote themselves at any given time and display their lack of respect for the government. The choice is simple.

Here's the rub! National news media. More than fifty percent of people think national news are most influencing in America today. People go to work, come home, turn on the news and that's all they see of politics. Is it any wonder they are for Dems? That's all they see. Liberal lies! Somehow the truth needs to reach these people!!!
