The shameful and ridiculous attempts to blame Israel and President Trump for the deadly results of Hamas-inspired Palestinian protests in Gaza over the US Embassy opening in Jerusalem are continuing. But they’re spreading from the anti-Trump news outlets to the UN and the Twitter feeds of leftist celebrities, at least one of whom was unhinged enough to compare our UN Ambassador Nikki Haley to Hitler because she…defended the Jews? Really?
Caleb Howe at PJ Media has a timeline of the escalating insanity, including some terrific quotes from Ambassador Haley, speaking truth to power at the UN and reminding some nations that are blasting Israel that history shows they’ve responded to incursions on their borders with much less restraint than Israel.
Also worth mentioning: they are blaming injuries of Palestinian children on Israel, but who takes their children to a dangerous, violent protest and uses them as human shields?
Howe also notes the ways in which the media edited Haley’s comments to try to create a false impression of what she actually said. Here are just two of her unedited sentences, which are still enough to win “Quote of the Day”:
“Those who suggest that the Gaza violence has anything to do with the location of the American embassy are sorely mistaken. Rather, the violence comes from those who reject the existence of the state of Israel in any location.”
And coming in a close second for “Quote of the Day” is Sen. Lindsay Graham, who said this on Fox News:
“If you got a problem with Jerusalem being the capital of Israel, take it up with God.”
