  You played a clip from the movie "No Time For Sergeants", the Andy Griffith's character expressed that he did not tell whether an officer was a man or a woman. What is more ironic is that in the book, it wasn't a woman, it was a black man.

  Earlier in the book, he had seen a black man who was an officer. He made a big deal out of it, since where he cam from, black people were pretty rare. One of his fellow soldiers told him it didn't matter, you didn't see the color, you saw the rank. In the movie they changed it from race to gender.
