Paleontologists digging in North Dakota have found what’s being hailed as the most important discovery of the new century: a “time capsule of the end of the world.”

It’s the perfectly-preserved fossilized remains of a group of fish, insects, mammals and one dinosaur, all jumbled together, that apparently all died at the same moment 66 million years ago, when a tsunami-like wave and a shower of rocks, sand and molten glass buried them alive.  It's believed to have happened just minutes after a huge asteroid smashed into the Earth near Mexico, ending the era of the dinosaurs.  They even found charred trees and dinosaur footprints from just before the blast.

Aside from the scientific value, there are two other aspects of this story that should be of interest to us today:

1.  It shows the importance of continuing NASA’s research on diverting asteroids away from Earth.

2.   We can see that the fossilized faces of the creatures who suddenly realized their world was ending have identical expressions to those of Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews when the Mueller report findings were announced.

I just love your sense of humor! Rachael Maddow and Chris Matthews must be boiling about now. Good for you. They could stand a little heat, couldn't they? It could maybe make them more pleasant but no, that would be impossible now, wouldn't it? I'll add a little addendum if that is OK. I admire the great job your daughter does in handling some of the fools who think they are reporters. That is a stretch now, isn't it? Not your daughter but the "fools".

I love your humor also and think our Spirit God Jehovah does also! To add a little to this humor, just maybe AOC is on to something. Could all those dinosaurs breaking wind have set off a world wide climate change resulting in the Noah flood?

OMG! "We can see that the fossilized faces of the creatures who suddenly realized their world was ending have identical expressions to those of Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews when the Mueller report findings were announced. " HYSTERICAL! That and the socialist Gracie Allen comment had me falling off my chair..No worries..I didn't hurt myself. Not only are you the only one I trust to give me the REAL news, but you make it so funny that even bad news goes down easily. Thank God for you.

When I read this I thought of the flood. Seems like all fossle finds point to the truth of scripture. I also laughed at the last statement. Funny how truth is more powerful than the lies.

In regards to the fossil discovery there is a third option: the world wide flood of Noah’s day. Don’t laugh. There is a lot of scientific evidence for a worldwide flood.
There are secular scientists who believe in a worldwide flood, but it wasn’t 66 million years ago.

Awesome artical, problem is the earth is only about 6500 to 7000 years old according to, awesome reading

Your comment about the fossilized creatures' expressions was priceless. Seriously, what this discovery demonstrates is that fossils were not formed over millennia but suddenly and catastrophically during the Flood of Noah's day. Evolutionism is the biggest hoax ever to be perpetrated upon this world. I'm sure you would agree.

Just like the dems who are hanging onto a political hoax, some scientist are hanging onto their worldview of millions of years. This in the face of numerous dinosaurs found today with soft tissue and blood. How on earth could soft tissue last millions of years? It’s impossible. But they can’t bring themselves to Deny a theory that has floated around for years and is actually false. Noah’s flood was real. The Dino’s died out at the flood and after, not millions of years. Job 40 describes a huge dinosaur. Have people read it. Amazing. Job saw this with his own eyes.

Umm if you believe in Creation and take the whole Bible as the Word Of God the flood comes in to play here. That's why you have fish amongst other behemoths in the middle of the continent.

I much prefer to nudge them into high earth or Luna orbit, to be used as raw material for space expansion and consumer goods on earth. No since wasting more valuable resources.

I have used this article to encourage some friends of mine to subscribe to the newsletter! Also, I am having a t-shirt printed with the words: "HUCK for Pres. 2024!" My friend (Robert Krzeszinski of Morrilton, AR) in the silk screening business can also make t-shirts one at a time, so I may have others made as the election of 2024 approaches. Thanks for all you do! Paul (Hope High School class of 1965-brother of Peter Guerin) in Conway, AR.

Yes I assume Nasa should continue with all investigations and searches into outer space and protecting us from Astroids and other such outer space threats but I really like #2 which compares facial expressions of some of our media who are like dinosaurs in their thinking. Love your sense of humor. It helps the bad news go down a little easier. Thank you and keep them coming!

MIKE!! The "guesstimates" fired by "Scientists" (some of whom are actual scientists) at this Fossil discovery are HIGHLY INACCURATE. These are MUCH more obviously described by the fact of a Cataclysmic FLOOD, and occurred only 4400 years ago, not millions. Watch the series of fabulous video interviews of SUPER-Smart PhD scientists that understand the "Springs of the deep were opened" means HUNDREDS of volcanoes all blasted worldwide at the same time, continually for 9-15 months, and those volcanoes located underwater caused pulsing tsunamis that regularly and consistently destroyed all life (exc those God purposely spared on the Ark) - and buried bunches of them together!! Really interesting stuff: (see Episode-9 Soft Tissue in DIno Bones). Reality is ALL scientists that study paleontology KNOW soft tissue cannot survive for more than 90,000 yrs at MOST - nor can Blood cells - yet we have BOTH from thin-sliced dino bones (1st found by a SUPER-Smart lady scientist that doesn't believe in a young earth). Yet the evidence clearly states - earth is young. Enjoy! Dave M

Well said, except that the millions if years (or billions) concept is a hypothetical bit of bluff used to distract from the more logical biblical timeline, and the truth revealed today in fossils of how the very powerful universal deluge and storm in Noah's impacted the earth.

    Hello Mike,

First, hahaha about those reporters. But more seriously: I would agree with James Randolph's comment, and add that the asteroid _theory_ for the extinction of the dinosaurs is just that, and not something you should take as conclusive!
Here's a paper where you can see that even a number of atheists have not accepted that theory... And that both volcanoes and meteors, etc. could have been active during the Flood catastrophe on earth: . It should be noted that various dinosaur species were dying out long before the Flood, AND that some of their species could have easily lived afterwards for many hundreds of years. There are not only descriptions in the book of Job that correlate with some of them, but footprints in the same ground as dinosaur tracks as well.
So, please keep up the humor; we all need that, but be careful not to do so in a way that makes it appear you agree with an evolutionists take on life rather than that of the Scriptures.
