Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS did plead the Fifth instead of answering questions before Congress on Tuesday. The James Baker and Nellie Ohr appearances on Thursday and Friday, respectively, are still on, at least at this writing, but deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein refused to testify last week. And the FISA warrant to surveil former Trump campaign associate Carter Page, the last renewal of which was signed by Rosenstein, is still buried in a lead-lined titanium vault six miles beneath the surface of the Earth.

Odd that Rosenstein, as the (practically speaking) acting attorney general, has been the one blocking the release of the FISA warrant when it’s his very own signature at the bottom of it. This is part of the enormous conflict of interest that should have kept him far away from the supervision of this case. In other words, if anyone should have been recused, it’s him.

Hurricane Michael Update

By Mike Huckabee

At the link is an update on the latest toll of deaths and property devastation from Hurricane Michael.  Many people are still missing, hopefully just unable to reach their families due to the widespread power outages.  I hope you’ll join me in praying for their safety and their swift reuniting with their loved ones.  In the meantime, those who aid the victims of storms are on the scene and need all the help they can get.  You can donate atwww.redcross.org or at https://www.samaritanspurse.org.  The great people at Samaritan’s Purse could also use any volunteers who’d like to help.  If you have some time that you could take off to come join the effort, you can learn how at their website.

Arizona witches

By Mike Huckabee

Well, after two years of engaging in witch hunts, the Democrats finally found some witches.  Just not where they expected.

On the other hand, when you're a Senate candidate in Arizona and you have a history as a far-left anti-war activist who depicted US troops as death’s-headed terrorists; called Arizonans “crazy” when you were out of state; promoted campus appearances by the radical lawyer who represented Omar Abdel Rahman, the “Blind Sheikh” behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombing; once said that when attending an event sponsored by anarchists it would be “inappropriate” to impose your beliefs on them by asking them not to destroy property or carry a weapon; and compared Arizona to a meth lab, inviting a few witches to your rally seems like pretty small potatoes.

Making America Great Again

By Mike Huckabee

Making America Great Again: In an annual report by the World Economic Forum, the United States is once again the #1 most competitive nation in the world, followed by Singapore, Germany, Switzerland and Japan.  The study ranks 140 countries based on 98 indicators that measure business investment and productivity.  This is the first time that the US has been #1 since the economic meltdown of 2008.

Of course, there are those who would like to blame the nearly decade-long lapse entirely on the 2008 meltdown.  But I seem to recall something else happening in 2008 that might have had a lot to do with it.  We could have reacted to the meltdown by making our economy more competitive and business-friendly and come back a lot sooner.  Instead, we went the other way and spent nine years out of our natural place at #1.  Now, after just two years of Republican leadership, we’re back where we belong.

There's currently another competition under way.  Less than three weeks from now, Americans will have to decide whether they like being #1 again or they want Democratic “change.”  I hope they understand that could mean trading long-delayed prosperity for pocket change.

How Not To Create A Campaign Ad

By Mike Huckabee

In North Dakota, Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp’s campaign tried to attack her Republican challenger, Kevin Cramer, for allegedly not being sensitive enough to women who claim to be victims of sexual abuse.  So they put out an open letter signed by women who allegedly declared themselves to “have all suffered from domestic violence, sexual assault, or rape.”

But the snit hit the fan after the letter came out, and many of the women whose names were on it complained that they never gave the Heitkamp campaign permission in any way to publicly identify them as victims of sexual assault.  The names apparently were taken from Facebook postings. One woman said she not only wasn’t a victim of domestic assault, she doesn’t even support Heitkamp, and asked, “Can this even be legal?”

Heitkamp pulled the ad and issued a retraction and personal apologies to all the women (who may or may not have been victimized before, but they sure feel as if they have been now.)  That might not be good enough, however: some of the women issued a statement saying that “Heidi Heitkamp's political agenda has interfered with, or downright ruined, our lives," and they’ve begun to “search for a lawyer.”  I wouldn’t be surprised if a number of lawyers were already searching for them.

Beto won't share his toys

By Mike Huckabee

Apparently, Texas Senate candidate and Democratic media darling Robert “Beto” O’Rourke has his eye on a really expensive new skateboard.

I smell rats! IF Muller is "ONLY" required to give his findings to his "boss" (Phantom of Opera-Rosenstien) we the people will NEVER know where all the money went, who did what, and who got away scott clean to scam the taxpayers over-and over again...who says money can't buy happiness...so if I feel us taxpayers have been "assaulted/ raped"... where do we go to file a grievance? Is anyone going to hear our pleas for justice and fair treatment? I just wish once someone who is supposed to represent us taxpayers had the integrity to do it! Unfortunately, that is why Political Integrity is the world's biggest oxymoron that there ever was or will be...right up there with military intelligence.
"Captcha" keeps asking if I am a robot,,, where do I check I wish I were so I wouldn't care.....

Governor: I kringe every time I see you advertising for people to give money to the Red Cross for Hurricane Michael. Please, please, please do your research and open your eyes to the organization they really are and not the one they claim to be. Samaritans Purse is a real help/rescue organization. The Red Cross is not a good organization.
