With former special counsel Robert Mueller scheduled to testify Wednesday (I’ll believe it when I see it), Steve Hilton on FOX News Sunday night brought up something that SOMEBODY on either the House Judiciary Committee or the Intelligence Committee ought to ask about, even though Mueller would surely wiggle out of answering. Here’s the background:

Almost a year ago, Hilton first reported on an intriguing past financial connection between Mueller and former FBI Director James Comey. Comey, then a former deputy attorney general, was hired by defense behemoth Lockheed Martin to be its general counsel (top attorney) and senior VP at the same time Mueller was serving as FBI director. Soon after Comey was hired at Lockheed Martin, Mueller’s FBI gave them a $300 million contract to develop a program called “Sentinel.” Then, in April of 2008, Mueller’s FBI gave Lockheed Martin a $1 billion contract to develop a sophisticated biometric surveillance program called “Next Generation Identification System.”

(Note: a little digging on our part turned up a story that may or may not be related to this cozy relationship. As it turns out, work was delayed on the NGI project because IBM went to the Government Accountability Office and protested the awarding of the contract to Lockheed Martin. They reportedly resolved the conflict when IBM was hired as a subcontractor. The story also mentions that Lockheed Martin ranks #1 on the list of largest federal government contractors.)

Of course, we already know that Comey leaked the content of personal notes he’d made of his “impressions” of a conversation he’d had with President Trump to the New York Times via a professor friend –- who had also had an unusual working relationship with Comey at the FBI –- with the admitted goal of triggering a special counsel investigation that he knew would almost certainly be headed by Mueller. (The notes were the property of the Justice Department and not his to leak.) Since Comey would of necessity be a witness in the “Trump/Russia” investigation, the conflict of interest in having Mueller as chief investigator is beyond the pale, but it happened anyway. (Of course, Rod Rosenstein had a similar conflict in supervising the investigation, but that happened anyway, too.)

Hilton’s facts came from the Government Accountability Institute, which had just published their book ‘COMPROMISED: How Money and Politics Drive FBI Corruption.” As Gregg Jarrett summed it up, “Comey stole government documents...he then leaked them to the media to trigger a special counsel, who just happens to be his longtime friend, partner and ally, to investigate the guy who fired Comey.” Hilton observes that they both “made millions off the surveillance state that they themselves promoted.”

Apparently, they both shared the same mentor: (drum roll, please )...Eric Holder.

Jarrett says Mueller and Comey have been “thick as thieves” for decades, and he doesn’t mince words about what we're dealing with. “James Comey,” he told Hilton, “strikes me as the most unscrupulous, devious, unprincipled person ever to hold a high position in the government,” someone who “has perpetrated the biggest hoax in modern American history.”

In his thoroughly underwhelming press conference a few weeks ago, Mueller tried to maintain that the Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) opinion that a sitting President couldn’t be indicted had denied him the option to recommend charges, implying that he might have wanted to do so. Because Attorney General Bill Barr had already made it clear that Mueller had said otherwise –- three times, in front of multiple witnesses –- Mueller had to issue a statement later that same day admitting that he had misspoken.

To quote Steve Hilton, “What Mueller did at his press conference wasn’t justice. It wasn’t the rule of law. It was a smear –- a false statement designed to cause material harm to President Trump, delivered with malice.” Hilton suggested that Trump should sue Mueller for defamation. I don’t know if that’s even feasible when you’re the President of the United States –- for example, can Trump sue Rep. Ilhan Omar for calling him a racist and a fascist? –- but he certainly was defamed. Of course, if Trump sued everyone who defamed him, the courts would be backed up for about a hundred years.

Mueller clearly is still trying to set up the President for impeachment. As the Wall Street Journal said, Mueller wants “an impeachment inquiry to charge Donald Trump with obstructing an investigation that wasn’t obstructed into a conspiracy that didn’t exist.”

Maybe Trump can’t sue for defamation, but Hilton suggests that both Mueller and Comey should be be the subjects of an investigation into their business dealings. He wants to see an investigation into the Lockheed Martin contracts and also Mueller’s client relationships at the law and lobbying firm Wilmer-Hale, where it appears Mueller cashed in after leaving his post as FBI director.

It’s highly unlikely that Mueller will answer questions about this, as he is reportedly limiting his answers to the report he’s already issued. (Aside: So why even hold the hearing? Attorney General Barr is correct in his suspicions –- Mueller’s testimony is just for the spectacle.) As I’ve said, he’s likely not to appear on Wednesday at all; he and Jerrold Nadler can easily come up with some fake excuse. Mueller has good reason for being a reluctant witness.

Considering this session of Congress adjourns on Friday, a Mueller no-show would pretty much put an end to the possibility of his testifying at all. But if they do have the hearing and he does show up, some lingering questions about him and Comey could at least be read into the record by the likes of ranking Republican Doug Collins.

Here’s the link to Steve Hilton’s original report on the Mueller-Comey connection. These two are prime examples of what he calls Washington “swamp creatures.” They may no longer be lurking inside the bureaucracy, but who knows how many other proteges Eric Holder had?

The Mueller debacle continues and I sure hope he backs down, but something tells me he is just there to stir up the pot and keep the media pushing collusion and obstruction. They have to continue the lies as what else do they have to talk about

Please tell me the reasoning when we hear how earth shattering news, unbelievable corruption facts have surfaced, the truth behind all the facts of Mueller's investigations, NOT ONE LIAR ON THE LEFT HAS BEEN PROSECUTED????

A conflict of scheduling will prevent Mueller from having to perjure himself(again) and once again the Two Tiered System of Justice will prevail. One set of laws for the elected and Elites and another for the Peons who pay the salaries of these educated Idiots. 30-40 million is a Fraud on the People and restitution should be available, but of course will not.

With all the unscrupulous, underhanded, two-part misdeeds of our gov't filling the airwaves these days, I'm thinking of my favorite TV show of the past decade- THE BLACKLIST. All the terrible political criminal activity, murders, backstabbing, and dastardly deeds are strikingly reminiscent of what unfolds in each weekly episode of the Washington DC based underground political crime thriller starring James Spader (and a fabulous cast of others!!!). I hope the writers of THE BLACKLIST take this piece by Master Exposer of All Things Politically Criminal, MIKE HUCKABEE and use it to write a script that will denounce the activities of , if not the characters themselves in our government. The denouement written for screen would likely be more entertaining than it's horrendously convoluted real-life counterpart. But then again, we will have a much better cast of characters!

Thanks, Gov. Huckabee, for giving us a 'minutes to read' headline for your newsletters. It helps me decide if I can read it now, or wait for later! And thank you for your common-sense insights to the craziness that is Washington.

Thanks for this new insight. My late husband worked in aero space industry and getting government contracts was always interesting. Your report today gives me clarity . At 79 nothing surprises me anymore; the seven deadly sins of Humankind are alive and well. Politicians are listening to the Dark side. However justice is coming. I just keep the Faith, smile and pray a lot.

Comey and Mueller were not for the good of America. They were in high government positions, being paid with the tax monies collected from the citizens of our country to accomplish their own personal agendas and their own personal monetary gain! Disgusting!

I feel my brain melting, and next my head will be exploding. As a 67-year-old educated, reasonably intelligent, longtime-hardworking, taxpaying, honest, caring, and patriotic individual I find myself becoming less and less able to process all this convoluted, incestuous, evil business. I certainly never ever would have imagined that at this age/point in my life I would be so deeply disappointed by and disillusioned with such a ubiquity of utterly corrupt and power-greedy people at the highest levels of MY government, of MY Country. (I know, you're probably saying, "Reasonably intelligent?!") It's debatable and possibly doubtful any of these people will ever be "brought to justice" as it's like the game of Whack-A-Mole - the buggers just keep popping up everywhere. It's just sickening and makes me extremely sad. God help us (and when You are ready to take me home I am ready to go!).

2 lousy now very rich bastards, crime pays well, then U get caught I hope the 2 of them find paradise to finish out their lifecycle in prison for violent criminals it would be great if they could get a not so nice gay partner for each of them I am hopeful the new parnters have been in solitary confinement for 4 months too welcome them home. I think Comey would like that not so sure about Mueller now that would be good use of taxpayer money. Also take a few million $ from them to help pay off the debt to society at plus get back the taxpayer money paid them to be crooks instead of servants to it's citizens.

If even a smudging of this is true, something should be started already. Why are the Republicans holding back on investigating theDems. There was supposed to be an investigate the investigators which I would think Jarold Nader should be included in that.
Just when I thought the Clinton’s were finally going to get their just desserts. It’s all quiet. What is going on??

    07/22/2019 03:59 PM

So, let me understand, under a Republican President, a republican FBI head gave a sweet contract to a company that a Republican newly-ex Deputy Attorney General then worked at. You are also concerned that perhaps these same Republicans went soft on a Republican President, Trump, correct?
Like Comey, days before the election having "new emails" from Hillary? Like Meuller giving room for Barr to falsely claim that Meuller's report "found no collusion"?

It appears to me the only branch of this Government with any Integrity is the Executive Branch.
Everyone in the house and senate only care about getting reelected or going on vacation, and the judicial branch seems to be missing because I haven't heard anything from them. I've been on this earth for over 75 years and the only person in this government I'm proud of is President Trump !!!!He keeps going like the Every Ready Rabbit while everyone else is stuck in neutral.

Comey and Mueller are two disgusting dirty cops who have made millions on the backs of the American taxpayer. Both should be prosecuted for malfeasance, dereliction of duty, bribery, extortion and treason in Comey's case.
An outright deep investigation into the Lockeed Martin Comey marriage should also be looked into. Comey was worth 10 million more dollars after a few years at Lockeed Martin thanks to the Hildabeast.
I hope he does come before Congress and I hope Jim Jordan and Collins rip him a new one along with the help of Mark Meadows.

Why with all this info and dirt on the swamp dwellers is no one in jail? Is Barr just a dog and pony show to appease us conservatives? Is Barr going to wait for all statues to run out? Are we going to hear of more crimes our elected officials committed against “We the People” for the next two years with no results?

Mueller has been touted as "the most respected person with impeccable credentials and unbiased etc. etc.). This has been shown as patently false.
Supposedly Mueller was the lone Republican on his appointed 100% Democrat Trump Haters.
When he was considered to head up the special counsel group.

This whole process has become laughable.
Comey who's unsavory traits have been accurately portrayed by Greg Jarrett shows the relationship between Comey and Mueller could not be any closer.
Mueller who has been portrayed as beyond approach should not have accepted the assignment not only for his relationship with Comey and their past indiscretions and the selection of a totally biased and hateful team who despised Trump's election and the ramifications that could and did follow but for the fact that he also had an ongoing dispute with Trump regarding Trump's golf course club in MD. After 17 years as a family member of Trump's Club, he decided to leave the club while requesting that most of his membership joining fee be returned. Of course did not honor Mueller's totally unreasonable request. This little item alone shows that Mueller had a contentious relationship with Trump not withstanding all of the reasons that have been exposed with the 4 FISA warrants based on unsubstantiated Steele Dossier paid for by the FBI/Hillary Clinton and others.
Mueller should be hanging his head in shame much less than continue to find a way to prosecute/impeach Trump.
When if ever will justice be served. Hillary has proven for over 3 decades that she and Bill ARE above the law.
With that in mind how can anyone ever expect that integrity woud be restored to the Obama Justice Department/FBI/IRS etc can or would be restored despite the ominous task that Barr has undertaken.

    *Another Great Article Governor!
I would like to suggest that with your influence maybe you could encourage more conservative media's to post and dissect the Saul Alinsky, "How to create a social state"
There are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state. The first is the most important.
    1) Healthcare- Control healthcare and you control the people
    2) Poverty - Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
    3) Debt - Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
    4) Gun Control- Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.
    5) Welfare - Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income)
    6) Education - Take control of what people read and listen to - take control of what children learn in school.
    7) Religion - Remove the belief in God from the Government and schools
    8) Class Warfare - Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.
