I told you yesterday that I wasn’t going to take the bait on the media’s latest claim of “devastating” testimony against President Trump because, to quote Dave Chappelle, “I…do not…BELIEVE…these people.”  Turns out that was the right call, as this link explains. They’ve cried, “Wolf!,” more times than Wolf Blitzer’s mother, so it’s a wise choice to take anything they say about Trump with the same skepticism usually reserved for cure-all ointments sold at flea markets.

It’s difficult to believe that there was even any question about this, but Wednesday, the Florida Senate voted 25-15 to permanently remove suspended Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel from his job.

Israel was the sheriff during last year’s mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School that left 17 dead.  It was his department that missed multiple red flags that might have prevented the shooting and whose deputies cowered outside the school as the shooting went on, waiting for more backup.  Israel was suspended by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for his "repeated failures, incompetence, and neglect of duty,” but he appealed. He also curried favor with gun control activists by joining in on blaming the NRA and pointing his finger at lawful gun owners for the actions of the shooter and his own failures.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/parkland-shooting-broward-sheriff-scott-israel-permanently-removed-florida-senate

Perhaps the most shocking thing about this story, aside from the facts that it would take this long to fire him or that Israel would have the gall to appeal at all, is that 15 Senators voted against making his removal permanent, including all five from Broward County.  Parents of some of the victims said they viewed that as a betrayal, but Democratic Senators defended Israel, claiming his removal was based on “emotion” rather than the rule of law.

To that, I would respond: If Sheriff Israel (now ex-sheriff, thankfully) had done his job to defend the rule of law, 17 people might still be alive today. And righteous fury might indeed be an emotion, but in this case, it’s an entirely just and appropriate emotion.

Say, remember how the left was filled with quivering “OUTRAGE!!!” over those “cages for children” (actually, separate detention facilities for their own safety) on the border that Trump built because he likes “ripping children away from their parents” (FYI, a pilot DNA test found that about a third of the people crossing the border with children weren’t really even related to them)?  And then we found out that the facilities were built and the policy started under Obama?

Well, here we go again.  According to Texas Rep. Joaquin Castro, brother of Democratic Presidential hopeful Julian Castro and doxxer of his own constituents, Trump is now responsible for separating children from their illegal immigrant parents and putting them up for adoption.  Oh, is there no end to the evil thought up by this monster Trump?!...

Oh wait: that also started under Obama...

https://www.westernjournal.com/castro-blasts-trump-adopting-migrant-kids-actually-obama/

I’m starting to think that the perfect Presidential candidate for today’s Democratic Party would be Gilda Radner’s comic character Emily Litella, who would go into fits of outrage over things she’d misheard, like “television violins” or “busting schoolchildren,” then when told what the actual story was, would always reply, “Ooh, that’s very different...Never mind!”

----------------------------

As his campaign continues its slow descent, “Beto” O’Rourke has become a veritable geyser of idiocy.  His latest spewings include more comparisons of President Trump to various Nazis and now, a claim that Trump’s facial expression at a rally was to blame for the El Paso mass shooting.  That story is available at Western Journal, but I don’t want to link directly to it because the video clips of him include the usual profanities that he mistakenly believes made him sound like a grown-up. Also, I just don’t want to give any more attention to this childish publicity addict (at this point, giving him attention for his behavior is like indulging a two-year-old having a tantrum in WalMart.)  So I will link to this story instead:

https://www.westernjournal.com/national-police-union-official-brands-beto-orourkes-gun-confiscation-plan-completely-ridiculous/

It’s about a vice president of the Fraternal Order of Police, the national police officers’ union, branding O’Rourke’s gun confiscation scheme as “completely ridiculous.” That’s the one where he plans to order law officers to go to the homes of every gun owner in America who refuses to give up their Second Amendment rights, and make the cops ring their doorbells and try to take their guns away.

Fortunately, I don’t think we’ll have to worry about that because the idea of “Beto” ever being President has also become completely ridiculous.

While some of our politicians in Washington are giving us all a lesson in how not to behave, how about countering that with a couple of inspiring and uplifting stories that, no surprise, involve America’s military members and veterans?

First, a salute to Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, owner of the Houston-based Gallery Furniture store chain, who celebrated the Astros’ return to the World Series by giving tickets to Game One to 100 veterans from a local PTSD recovery facility.

https://www.westernjournal.com/furniture-store-owner-takes-100-vets-recovering-ptsd-world-series-game-1/

And now, brace yourself for an incredible story of bravery in the face of intense pain and pressure.  During a training mission in Slovakia, the three-man crew of an M1A2 Abrams tank were sleeping when a hydraulic malfunction caused the tank to start moving, accelerate to 90 mph and crash into an embankment.  The gunner was bleeding heavily, the driver’s back was broken, and Army Spc. Ezra Maes was jammed into the turret mechanism.  He freed himself the only way he could: by ripping off his own leg.  Realizing he would quickly die of blood loss before he could save the others, he said, “All I could think about was no one knows we’re down here. Either I step up or we all die.”

So overcoming his panic, he used his belt as a tourniquet to stop his leg from bleeding. He then stopped his crew mate’s bleeding and the two used a cell phone to contact a friend and call for help.  Thanks to Maes, all three tank crew members survived, and Maes is now learning to walk on a prosthetic leg.

That’s the gist of the story, but click the link to read the details, see the photos, and appreciate the incredible courage and never-say-die spirit of America’s military heroes.

It is time to "Pin the Tales" on the Donkey. Well, you already know what comes out the other end, the" DONKEY'S GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT". One product is Fake News. OH, they have produced a lot over the years, like the KKK, the late Senator Robert Byrd, former Grand wizard of the KKK, George Wallace who stood in the door of a school in Alabama to keep blacks out. Time & space will not permit other Donkey products. One tale, "We will reward our friends & punish our enemies" BHO

Mark Twain said it best: "There is no distinctly American class...except congress."

Also, remove all entitlements from the congress and senate, and no more tax payer funding of these elitists! We need successful people to run the government, paying their own way!

Hello Governor! I guess you know that Lisa Page altered Flynn’s 302? The state department-deep-state-entrenched people are trying to help Schiff because they are vulnerable to go down too. The whole impeachment thing is a desperate attempt to shut down Barr. It becomes clearer each day. The corrupt duplicity of the 4th branch of government knows no bounds. Accountability finally??
Warm regards from your favorite barista!

it doesn't matter!!! it should. it does to us. truth matters.... to those who can see past the end of their nose. but for all the folks drinking from CNN, NYT and the other rumor mills masquerading as news, all that matters is that they feed their insane rage and envy of Trump. yes, envy, of his intelligence, abilities, and success.

"the time will come when people will seek out teachers who will say what their ears are itching to hear." (2Tim4:3) we are there, at least for most of the left (hmmm, will they become the left-behind?). how would they feel if they were on trial for murder and the courtroom was sealed, secret, even they and their lawyer were not allowed in, and what "leaked" out of the courtroom was total BS? hey!! they would say "IT DOESN'T MATTER -- because it's Trump, not me".

so how do we convice them that it does matter? i guess just keep shining the light in the hopes that some will see it. but don't expect the truth to matter to them. they're just ignorantly, even knowingly, believing what they want to believe.

    Good morning, Mike
I am a senior who is 1/2 way through my 70's. I have been a patriot all my life (so far!) and a family of patriots who go back to 1621. We are Americans, through and through!
I listen and read only a few in my daily life for the truth and leadership. You, Rush, Mark, Trump, Hannity, and two Phila local "Big Talkers". I have a question. Since we know who has broken the laws in the "swamp" for the past 3 plus years....why hasn't justice been applied? It would have been applied for people (tax payers) at my level. Blesings, Mike. I watched a clip of ocasio grilling Zuckerberg about political ads (LIES!!!!!) allowed on fb (or is it utube?) and Zuckerberg would answer--but didn't give her the answer she wanted. He explained I think 3 times, but she kept interrupting when she realized he wasn't going to agree with her. After the 3rd time, he turned and faced the camera--I thought I would choke on my coffee at the expression he had on his face!!! I guess he realized that, she wasn't ever going to "get" it. Anyway, that look was my laugh for the day.

Knowing the Bible and what is has to say about sinful humanity; it is still hard for me to comprehend the stupidity of the human race. I realize that unregenerate humanity is being controlled by the god of this world, that great deceiver called Satan and Devil.

Name calling!!!!! Seriously when are these so called leaders going to grow up and take care of business. Sand box politics is so beneath the public mentality. We know how to play and chose to leave it in Kindergarten. Mr. Mike you are so smart in not joining their company. They keep changing the rules and making new ones, oh BTW while collecting 175k + a month. Over it....

I was in Colorado Springs a couple weeks ago participating in a Girl Scouts function at the airport. One of the volunteers was a veteran and a Homeland Security officer. She had been at the border recently. She said the illegals carrying babies got preferential treatment. But somehow that baby would find its way back across the border and come in with someone else. This certainly isn't being reported.
