BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Psalms 19:14 KJV

No Censure for Maxine

By Mike Huckabee

Well, so much for the crazy theory that there are any “moderate” Democrats in the House who would actually choose upholding their oath to defend the Constitution over protecting a fellow party member. Tuesday, the House voted on party lines 216-212 to table GOP leader Kevin McCarthy’s resolution to censure Rep. Maxine Waters for her attempted jury intimidation by urging mob action if there wasn’t a guilty verdict for Derek Chauvin.

Voters in swing districts, please remember this when the next election rolls around and your “moderate” Democratic Representative gives you a big load of banana oil about how he/she puts principle ahead of partisanship. Recall this is the same House that voted to impeach President Trump for inciting insurrection for asking his supporters to protest peacefully and patriotically, but who circled the wagons to protect Mad Maxine’s blatantly violent rhetoric.

Waters took her escape from even the least accountability with her typical hubris and lack of self-reflection, calling her critics racists and declaring, "They don’t seem to understand, they’re not going to get me out of office, because I’m here until I decide to retire."

Voters in her own district should also note just how little regard she seems to have for their opinion of her as well. Silly voters, you thought you had some say over how long she was going to be in office!

Get Well Ted Nugent

By Mike Huckabee

Let’s all send “Get well” wishes to the Motor City Madman, Ted Nugent. The Nuge announced on Facebook that he’s been very ill for about 10 days and tested positive for COVID-19. He had previously downplayed the seriousness of the disease, but now admits he felt like he was dying (fortunately, he appears to be on the mend, although he apologized for his “rattly cough.”

While I often question some of the useless, oppressive or counterproductive pandemic rules, I would never take this disease lightly. I know too many people who have had it or lost someone to it. Both of my writers had it and were very sick for a week. If someone who is in as good shape and who eats as healthily as my friend Ted could be felled by it, it’s serious. But I’m glad to see he appears to be feeling better. Let’s all pray that he’s back in tip-top shape again very soon so he can come back on my show and do something like this in person:

Paul Rossi Is Fired

By Mike Huckabee

Paul Rossi, a math teacher at the private Grace Church High School in New York, has been fired after speaking out publicly against the school’s so-called “anti-racism”/Critical Race Theory policies. Following a segregated “whites only” Zoom meeting in which faculty and students were told that concepts such as objectivity and individualism were “characteristics of white supremacy,” and other racial grievance propaganda, Rossi spoke out and even wrote an article titled, “I Refuse to Stand By While My Students Are Indoctrinated.”

In true Salem Witch Trial tradition, the school launched a fierce attack on his heresy, even ordering the other teachers to read a “public reprimand” of him out loud to their classes. He was at first told to stay home, then informed he was fired for causing “harm” with his words and ideas. The school tried to claim that Rossi misrepresented what was said, but a recording backed up his version.

Rossi is refusing to back down. Interestingly, he said students had been telling him privately for several years that they were frustrated with this racist indoctrination, and they said that the meeting where he objected was a “more productive and substantive discussion than they expected.” What, they didn't need casts and tourniquets for the harm caused by his words and ideas?

So it seems that at least some teachers can see what racist leftist brainwashing this is, and the students can see it, and I assume many of the parents can see it, even if they’ve been afraid to say so. So who’s in favor of it? The administrators imposing it and the people making bucks pushing it?

You know, if everyone who’s afraid to speak up would take a cue from Paul Rossi, steel their spines and find their voices – and considering it’s a private school that depends on parents writing tuition checks – how hard would it be to replace the administrators and activists who think schools should be teaching toxic racial divisiveness with teachers like Paul, who think it should be teaching math?

Democrat Hypocrisy Round-Up

By Mike Huckabee

It was recently revealed that Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who blamed her state’s high COVID numbers on people traveling out of state, traveled out of state to visit her own father when he was ill. Her people call this unfair and cite various rationales and extenuating circumstances, none of which she would find acceptable from anyone else who did it.

“Squad” member Rep. Ayanna Pressley has been demanding that during the pandemic, rent payments should be canceled. It was recently revealed she has earned money from rental income, and under her plan to have the government cover rent payments, the taxpayers would continue paying any rental income she lost.

I’ll stop with these two before this segment takes over the whole newsletter.

Warnock Opponents Line Up

By Mike Huckabee

Georgia voters will soon get a do-over to correct one awful mistake from January, with the election of far-far-left Senator Raphael Warnock. Because he was filling someone else’s term, he has to run for reelection in 2022. Meet his first announced opponent: African-American business owner and Air Force veteran Kelvin King, who declared, “We need to un-cancel America and be proud of who we are."

Shortly after King announced his candidacy, fellow military veteran and businessman Latham Saddler also joined the race, and former Sen. Kelly Loeffler could try to defeat Warnock again. Let’s all hope the GOP chooses the best and strongest candidate, and that the contenders don't turn the primary into a circular firing squad. Remember, your real opponent is on the other side.

Idea For Red State Legislators And Governors

By Mike Huckabee

The sheriff of Polk County, Florida, issued a statement to all the newcomers moving to Florida from blue states: don’t “vote the stupid way you did up north.”

At a ceremony for the signing of a new anti-rioting law, Sheriff Grady Judd noted that hundreds of people a day are moving into Florida because it’s a beautiful, safe state where people respect each other and obey the law, but if you vote for the same stupid policies that exist in the states you fled from, “you’ll get what they got.”

All red states might want to add this quote to the border signs that denote when someone is entering the state. Also, put it in your welcome wagon brochures and pay U-Haul to place them in every moving van.

A Look Back At Earth Day Predictions

By Mike Huckabee

Tomorrow is Earth Day, so in preparation for what is sure to be a combined hurricane and tsunami of apocalyptic climate predictions, here is a list of some of the similar doomsday predictions made way back on the first Earth Day in 1970.

If they’d been correct, we wouldn’t have to worry about future climate change because we all would’ve been dead for decades now.

In a related story, Scientific American yielded to pressure and announced that instead of saying “climate change,” they will now call it the “climate emergency.”

Note that their senior editor justifies this by citing individual weather events such as the cold snap in Texas or hurricanes hitting Florida, which have been going on since the dawn of time (it's called "Hurricane Alley" for a reason.) When conservatives point out heavy snowstorms that the greens said would be a thing of the past, they’re mocked for not knowing the difference between weather and climate, but here is the editor of Scientific American citing individual weather events to justify using the loaded and emotional term “climate emergency” instead of the scientifically accurate term “climate change.”

I anxiously await the announcement that "Scientific American's" name is being changed to “Political American.”

A Reader Writes Back...

Governor Huckabee, I deeply appreciate your expressed, honest viewpoints. Keep up the good work on behalf of America and God!
