Tis the season to act rudely!

Miss Manners would kindly advise CNN that they’re doing it all wrong when it comes to the matter of the White House Christmas party. If they really can’t stand the thought of sipping eggnog with the President, Melania and the White House staff, they should compose a nicely-worded RSVP and politely decline. (Note: it is never acceptable to send one’s regrets in the form of a tweet.) They don’t need to worry about disappointing anyone by their absence; on the contrary, President Trump will be delighted not to see them. And no explanation is necessary; the reporters at CNN may simply say it’s “due to a previous engagement,” even if that engagement turns out to be nothing more momentous than hoisting Long Island iced teas with similarly-minded colleagues at their favorite watering hole.

One caution: in the current atmosphere, media colleagues had better not have so many Long Island iced teas that they lose their inhibitions and end up getting fired from their network for behavior they don’t even remember.

Alternately, the invitees may choose to say there’s been a death. Arguably, there really has been a death --- of journalism.

It should be mentioned that Miss Manners has almost certainly thrown up her hands at the President’s behavior as well. A good host doesn’t publicly refer to his invitees as “dishonest,” “corrupt” or “bad,” even if they clearly are. If his opinion of them is that low, there’s really only one polite way to handle the situation.

Don’t invite them in the first place. Falalalala.

    Regarding the actions of these Federalist Judges: I believe it's past time for SCOTUS to find such actions/decisions in violation of the Constitution, in their attempts to emasculate the Chief Executive, and the authorities as provided for the office by our Founders. We need a crime defined as "Unauthorized Judicial Interference", which would result in immediate disbarment, with possible criminal penalty for Treasonous interference with the safety and benefit of "We the People".

    I don't follow much of the social reports surrounding the President's wife and daughter, nor any of the other stuff that the liberal news has been handing out; in fact, I don't feel I can follow any news at all when I don't know if I'm reading "fake news", or biased news that isn't really news at all, just an editorial that is called news. So, whatever CNN or any of the rest of them have anything to say about the Presidential Christmas party, I simply don't pay any attention.
    I hunger for news that is news. What we came to expect when I was a young man--an honest report of the who, what, when, where, and how of any given situation. Newspapers and broadcast media formerly were censored for dishonest reporting and had to pay a healthy penalty for breaking that code. I'm afraid there is no longer a code of ethics with any of the so-called news agencies. Since I can no longer trust any of them, I no longer listen to any of them; however, this leaves me feeling ignorant of what is going on around me, in the world and in my country.
    Could you advise me of a news source that you trust. I clearly trust you as I voted for you for President of our United States.
    I really miss your daily radio program. Is there a program on radio or the internet that I can listen to on a regular basis?

    I love your commentaries, they are a breath of fresh air in the days of angry, biased journalism.
    I agree that he shouldn’t invite them, but then they’d have something to say about that as well. The fact that they “hate” his tweeting, and they chose to tweet their response, is just another example of their hypocrisy!
    Love your daughter! She is also a breath of fresh air!

    I never cease to be amazed at the deep well of your humor. Who do I enjoy more than Mr. Mike Huckabee? No one. Please consider being on the TV every evening.     As crude and uncouth as he is, our President seems to have done wonders shaking the tree. He was elected with everyone knowing he had a "tweeting" addiction and honestly, I think he's used it to his advantage. Some have been very childish and tacky, but he is what he is. Now if some women come out of the woodwork about him making unwanted advances, he's gonna be in real trouble. I sure hope that doesn't happen. He's crude, but I still would rather have him than Hillary any day.

    I agree. Should not have invited CNN. That only gave them the opportunity to insult the President again. But it's good they will not be there. They would only look for things to criticize. The are mannerless nitpickers! Melania's dress would probably be the wrong shade of red and Trump might disgustingly have TWO cups of punch! With such outrageous presidential shortcomings, CNN would be duty bound to spend a week or two discussing it on TV. Bah humbug, CNN!

    You are right about name calling, Our President needs to speak less, speak softly and not offend. However, his Federal bureaus are afraid of a man they can't control. I hope he invites George Soros and then gives him the gift of permanent deportation! That man is paying for much of the havoc going on in our country. He needs better military advisors....and he needs to prayfully decide what to do about N. Korea. To end that dictatorship would free millions of trodden, starving and abused citizens. Please give him the book, THE DEEPER STATE, by Lt. Col Robert McGinnis, and tell him to invite retired General Boykin (sp?) to his Christmas Party. Actually, if he would invite the guests that Jim Bakker had on his show, they would all come and have much good words to offer. DO NOT INVITE JIM BAKKER, HE IS NARCISSISTIC BEYOND BELIEF. His guests are awesome, however, Joel Richardson, Rabbi Cahn, and many others would be a blessing to them. The owner of Nutri Systems has done volumes of aid in Haiti, and should be honoured for that. Please have Sarah give him this list plus Dr. Colbert & wife Mary. Please give him this guest list and they will have a marvelous turn out. Add Senators Cruz and Rand Paul, Graham, Grassley, Bingaman, Rep. Cotton, Mr. & Mrs. Mike Huckabee, where you give him a copy of YOUR tax plan, and tell him to pass that one and American will vote him in for another term. The President should send personal invitations to the very conservative reps, and ignore the others, then ask each one to bring a suggestion in writing and then he should listen to them. Talk with them about term limits. PTL, THE SWAMP IS BEING DRAINED. Please add David Barton and have him bring his plan for education. Ms DeVos too, but she needs to be replaced and the Dept. of Education abolished. We need only a Federal Standard for graduation. I can write it if you cannot.     CNN is so disgustingly biased and stupid with their arrogance about their reporting it is tragic. i am still asking "if anyone at CNN is in their right mind?" And that goes for Joyce Reid at MSNBC. think that's her name. CNN apparently takes pride in alienating themselves from the WH by such stupid people as Jim Acosta. They do NOT deserve to be at the WH where they despise the whole house and make no pretext to hide it.

    Governor, you have the right of it. They are behaving badly, like immature children and may I say many kindergarteners have better manners and journalism is just about dead.
    This is the season to rejoice in Jesus. God the Son, came to give each man inner peace and extend that peace out to everyone.

    I would just like to say how much I love the beautiful way Mrs. Trump decorated the White House for Christmas. I never in a million years would have thought to do it that way. I don't care if nobody attends their parties, just never let it be forgotten that we have seen the most beautiful decorated White House ever. I wish there was a way for us to see it daily for as long as it last.

    Hello Mike, I think you are a little off on this one. I love hearing my president spread the truth about these so called media people. It would have been much worse if they were not invited, we would have had to listen to them make fake news out of it till at least march of next year and maybe beyond. Our great president is just calling it like it is. Too bad they cant handle reality. Another thing just for fun , Blue Lives Matter and White Lives Matter, in fact All Lives Matter.

    As always, your commentary is on target. What's unfortunate is the worker bees (technicians, producers, etc.) who the First Family was gracious to invite, will not be allowed to attend because Senior Management made this decision.

    I wonder what Bernard Shaw and some of the classy journalists who were at CNN in their early years think of the network now.

    Dear Mr Huckabee, I am quite disturbed by our governments to say the least. Have you read the book Raising A Jihadi Generation, Understanding the Muslim Brotherhood Movement in America by John Guandolo, if not, Please Do So. A program on Sonlifenetwork is Francis & Friends had him on mon or tues this week & the info is terrifying, archives are sometimes available. WHAT CAN WE DO TO STOP THIS !!!!!!!!

President Trump is doing a great job, but he could take a few lessons from you on how to “tell it like it is” without whining, belittling or acting like a child!

    With swamp creatures on both sides of the aisle, and Democrats only obstructing, how can we pass legislation? I was so against Executive Orders from the previous administration, however I think a lot has been done by Trump to undo many of them. Why can't we get to a truly representative government that wants the best for we the people? Stop the slush funds. Continue to cut spending where it is not producing effective results. Thanks for your good nature and genuine concern.

    I voted for our President because I felt we needed to have a fiscally responsible adult with traditional values running our country and bringing it back to center. I read comments from both sides of the aisle and I just wish I could look some people in the eye, shake them a little and ask what craziness overtook them and when did it happen? We are all better than this and our behavior should reflect. We live in a great country and we owe it to ourselves, each other, and to all the men and women who fought and died to protect it, to rise and behave with a little respect and dignity. We can disagree without resorting to becoming ill tempered children scrabbling in the dirt in the schoolyard. I appreciate and applaud our President and his ability (most of the time) to remain the adult when surrounded by the angry hoards of spoiled brats who didn’t get their way. We MUST restore decency, respect and personal responsibility in our country or we will continue this downhill, dirty slide into nothingness. Merry Christmas to all and best wishes for a bright and beautiful 2018.
