The House voted 420-0 for Robert Mueller’s final report to be released publicly (four Republicans voted “present.”)

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler declared, “It is important that Congress stand up for the principle of full transparency.” That, of course, is pure, USDA Grade-A baloney. House Democrats have little use for transparency about their own offices, taxes or finances. They just want anything that might prove damaging or embarrassing to President Trump waved around in public like a giant foam finger. As for their claims that the report must be made public to “clear up any questions,” that’s also a load of cheap luncheon loaf. Before even seeing the report, Adam Schiff has already declared that he won’t accept it and will keep launching more investigations anyway.

For their part, Republicans are betting the Mueller probe will have labored mightily, expensively and at great length and found zero “Russian collusion.” But if the report remains secret, as the law requires, Democrats would keep flailing that dead horse forever.

With gratitude,

Mike Huckabee

"Huckabee" preview

By Mike Huckabee

Recuperate from this trying news week with tonight’s St. Patrick’s Day episode of “Huckabee” on TBN! In addition to some leprechaun jokes that might turn you green, we have a great guest line-up. I’ll look for some bipartisan common ground with Kristen Day of Democrats for Life for America. Attorney Brent Helms will fill us in on the landmark Alabama baby personhood case. Huck’s Hero Ron Hall will give us a sneak peak at the new movie of his incredible true-life book, “Same Kind of Different As Me.” Bestselling spy novelist Joel Rosenberg unveils his latest ripped-from-the-headlines thriller, “The Persian Gamble.” And you can’t miss this: comedy by Steve Smith! Maybe you know him better as the king of duct tape, Red Green of “The Red Green Show,” one of the longest-running comedy shows of all time. Throw in my commentary on serious stories and some crazy news “In Case You Missed It,” and this show will make you feel giddier than green beer, only with no hangover.

It’s all coming your way tonight at 8 and 11 EST, 7 and 10 CST, only on TBN. To find your local TBN channel and stream previous episodes online, visit https://www.tbn.org/programs/

Programming note

By Mike Huckabee

Programming note: there were a number of revelations at the end of the week relating to the Mueller investigation and the hinky “Russian dossier” that actually started it. I’m going to work on a piece assembling and explaining all those tangled threads over the weekend and post it Monday. So be watching for that in Monday’s newsletter and at www.MikeHuckabee.com

STORY #3:  Laura Ainsworth: FOLLOW-UP on "The Brains Behind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez"

By Mike Huckabee

As of this writing (the wee hours of Friday morning), “The Brains Behind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,” by “Mr. Reagan,” was up to almost 1.5 million views after being posted for about a week. I’d like to think I had a hand in some of that.

Here’s more about the organization called Justice Democrats, which was behind the “casting” of AOC to be the new representative for the 14th Congressional District, covering parts of New York City. For those not yet convinced that Mr. Reagan’s claim is more than a wild conspiracy theory, here’s an article in which the head of Justice Democrats boasts of their plan to do just what he was talking about –- on a large scale across the country. Of course, she doesn’t refer to AOC as a “puppet,” but in the interview it becomes clear that all the new faces they select will, in effect, function that way.

STORY #2: Fox News: DOJ reached agreement with Clinton lawyers to block FBI access to Clinton Foundation emails, Strzok says

By Gregg Re

The Justice Department "negotiated" an agreement with Hillary Clinton's legal team that ensured the FBI did not have access to emails on her private servers relating to the Clinton Foundation, former FBI special agent Peter Strzok testified during a closed-door appearance before the House Judiciary Committee last summer, according to a newly released transcript.

Republicans late last year renewed their efforts to probe the Clinton Foundation, after tax documents showed a plunge in its incoming donations after Clinton’s 2016 presidential election. The numbers fueled longstanding allegations of possible “pay-to-play” transactions at the organization, amid a Justice Department probe covering foundation issues.

Beto's roll-out

By Mike Huckabee

As I predicted yesterday, “Beto” O’Rourke’s presidential roll-out wasn’t greeted with as much adulation as he expected. While those who vote for Presidents based on “charisma” were dazzled, even some prominent liberals are skeptical that a brief term in the House, a losing Senate race and mad skateboard skillz are enough qualifications to be President. Nancy Pelosi was pressed to name a “signature accomplishment” of O’Rourke’s and came up empty (I heard that he did get a bill passed to rename a courthouse, proving that he is really good at coming up with better names for things than they started out with.)

There was even this brutal but hilariously spot-on assessment, from liberal journalist Michael Tracey, formerly of Young Turks...

A preview of Loretta Lynch's unredacted non-answers

By Mike Huckabee

We’ve been asking this question literally for years: If the DOJ and FBI had reason to suspect that foreign agents were trying to infiltrate the Trump campaign --- seriously enough to justify getting a warrant to spy on U.S. citizens who were Trump associates --- why on earth didn’t they brief Trump and/or top campaign officials about it?

It seems like the sensible thing for them to have done. But thanks to a new report from investigative reporter Sara A. Carter revealing closed-door testimony given by Loretta Lynch, we now find that our intelligence higher-ups handled this situation in a way that defies logic.

Hey AOC: Better to remain silent

By Mike Huckabee

The media’s (and Republicans’) favorite “Democratic” socialist, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez complained on social media that she didn’t know Congress members have to work all the time. Actually, most don’t work all the time, but most of them aren’t out firing off ridiculous comments and trying to transform America into Venezuela. In fact, if she wants her Congressional career to last beyond 2020, she might want to stop working so hard at whatever it is she’s doing.

A new Gallup poll found that the more Americans learn about and hear from AOC, the less they like her (to be fair, that's true of socialism in general.) Shortly before the election, half of Americans had never heard of her, 24 percent viewed her favorably and 26 percent unfavorably, for a net favorability rating of -2.

Now, after getting two earfuls from her for several months, only 31 percent haven’t heard of her, but most of those who have don’t like what they’ve heard. Her net unfavorable rating has grown to -8 percent. Her favorable rating is up 4 points among Democrats, and is down 7 points among Independents and 21 points among Republicans. Also, while her favorable rating is up 9 points among non-whites, that’s the only demographic where she’s up. She’s down 3 points among women, 11 points among men, 15 points among whites, and even 7 points among Millennials.

If this is what happens when she works all the time, she might be more popular as a do-nothing Congress member. I know she has little respect for the wisdom of those who came before her, but there’s a lot of truth in the old saying, “It’s better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

It is discouraging to have liberal Dems call our President 'a racist'. When BO was in office, one could not mention his name without reverence OR you were a racist - even a different view of his policies put one in that mold. Today the new female Reps in Congress wear their religious garb - if they are elected to an American law-making group - why not wear the clothes of the country you represent? Could they be wanting Sharia, Islamic sharia? It is recognized in some states. Or Islamic law which is the religious legal system governing the members of the Islamic faith. It is derived from the religious precepts of Islam, particularly the Quran and the Hadith. The term sharia comes from the Arabic language term shar??ah, which means a body of moral and religious law derived from religious prophecy, as opposed to human legislation. Hopefully, they will change their 'racist' stance and become integral with 'human legislation'. The political field is so off the wall lately; we are being 'transformed' and indoctrinated into not being able to voice our opinion but called names if we have a different opinion than they. To call our President a racist is a threat to my thinking - it seems violence and murders are done for less than name calling. Labels of that sort should be banned as treason -- they are dangerous and such names should have fines since they can be life-threatening.
