Back in February, I went on record with a prediction that Michelle Obama would be the 2020 Democratic Party nominee for President. After watching the underwhelming Democratic “debates” this Tuesday and Wednesday, I have to reiterate: She will definitely be getting in. It’s just a matter of timing.
Both of these “debates” --- they’re not debates at all; we should call them candidate forums --- were unimpressive, bordering on pathetic. The only candidates with a real chance at the nomination showed themselves to be, well, insane, and dangerously leftist. They have jumped the shark. I cling to the belief that enough American voters are too smart to be taken in by all the promises of free stuff. Want to find out how Venezuela BECAME Venezuela? Elect a President and Congress committed to wide-open borders, “Medicare For All” (including illegal immigrants), the Green New Deal, and student loan forgiveness. Then you’ll see what living in a broken and bankrupt nation is like, because there are not enough trillions of dollars in the world to pay for all that.
Michelle Obama will be perceived as a more "moderate" Democrat. She is not one, but perception is all that counts on Election Day. She will also be seen as the one person with the star quality to go up against Trump, stepping in to save the day! If Kamala Harris falters in the debates or on the campaign trail or polls poorly against Trump, Michelle will be "drafted." In the meantime, she’s making personal appearances around the country. Her book BECOMING has hit 10 million in sales. And, oh yes, she was just named the Most Admired Woman In America, not to mention the rest of the entire world.
Also, as if this weren’t bad enough (sorry!), be prepared for the campaign to be even more about race. Here’s why: the false narrative of “Russia, Russia, Russia!” fizzled out, so Democrats need another one to substitute. If you’ve noticed, “Russia, Russia, Russia!” has morphed into “Racist, racist, racist!” Between now and next November, we are going to hear the word “racist” applied (wrongly) to Trump at least 200 trillion times, which coincidentally is also the number of dollars the Democrat candidates’ proposals would cost.
