In breaking news, a team of physicists, astronomers and mathematicians at MIT has completed a study of the U.S. Department of Justice headquarters that finds it to be the bureaucratic equivalent of a Black Hole for documents. They have proved their hypothesis that the DOJ contains, deep below ground, a mysterious gravitational pull so powerful that documents cannot escape it.

Their incredible findings, certainly worthy of the Nobel Prize for Physics, give new meaning to the term “political science” and explain much of what is observed today in the bowels of the Department of Justice. What appears to be stonewalling isn’t stonewalling at all, but rather an exciting natural phenomenon that has even top scientists scratching their heads. It’s amazing: the Inspector General can send over a 500-page report for internal review before it’s supposed to be turned over to congressional oversight committees, and it never gets to Congress. Key documents relating to the FBI’s “Russia” investigation promised to legislators on Thursday appear to have been swallowed whole and cannot be detected even with the most advanced technology.

Oddly, a few members of Congress such as Trey Gowdy and Paul Ryan have expressed confidence in the DOJ and FBI, even without seeing these important documents. They seem oddly accepting of the use of spies (“confidential human sources”) within a presidential campaign, something that would be met with outrage by normal humans. Scientists have not yet been able to explain this, however, saying it falls more into the realm of science fiction, like “Invasion of the Body Snatchers.”

In related news just reported by The New York Times, the DOJ is getting serious about tracking down leaks of classified information, even confiscating journalists’ email and phone records. This has already resulted in the arrest of a former staffer on the Senate Intelligence Committee, former Army intelligence analyst James A. Wolfe, who allegedly lied to the FBI about providing sensitive information to reporters. Yes, it’s important to plug such leaks, but going about it this way would seem to be a gross violation of the First Amendment freedom of speech and the press. Also, the intense gravitational pull exerted by the DOJ’s Black Hole means that if reporters have to turn over their cell phones, they will surely never see them again.

But back to the documents. Although the DOJ had promised lawmakers access on Thursday morning to key documents from the FBI’s “Russia” probe, those materials apparently fell into the Black Hole just hours before, because officials issued a press release to reporters shortly after midnight calling for a delay. (Members of Congress were reportedly not even notified.) It said they’ll meet only with a select group of legislators to “discuss the matter,” and they want to reschedule the briefing to coincide with opening day of the North Korea summit in Singapore. That way, no matter what happens concerning the documents, no one will be paying attention.

Commentary continues below advertisement

DOJ officials are insisting the documents were physically present at a briefing held on May 24, but no members of Congress actually saw them, so at this point it appears they have been sucked into the Black Hole. Incidentally, it was after this meeting that Trey Gowdy began talking strangely, so perhaps that is when he was taken over by a pod person. The research team had no comment on that and would need a sizable research grant to study it.

Scientists warn that any documents not sucked into the Black Hole are likely to be covered with mysterious, monolithic black bars. Sometimes entire pages of information are blacked out. The cause of these bars is not known; they resemble the black bars used for redaction done by intelligence officials for national security purposes, but national security is not known to be an issue here. They remain a mystery.

It wouldn't surprise me if there were threats thrown at the families of Gowdy & Ryan. The corruption within the governments, federal and states, is appalling. We will never, ever have an honest government and it's sad that we are forced to live under these conditions.

It about time someone did something to stop all the info from getting out, some might be on them so they better look close and check it out.

Like the humor! Any where else these folks would have been let go immediately. So why doesn't the President fire these folks? In the DOJ I mean.

You humor is enjoyable if the situation wasn't so despicable. How does the DOJ legally keep documents from the sight of Congress? Isn't that contempt or obstruction? Can't they be removed from their responsibilities and put someone with ethics and morals in that department? It is sickening.

Why isn't Jeff Sessions firing, disciplining people for which he as the Attorney General is the responsible executive?

Trumps biggest boo boo seems to have been not to withdraw Session's nomination when he recused himself.
His second worst boo boo was not firing all the Obama appointees the day he took office.

    What was the Donald thinking???

Ya know all those people who just disappeared, crashed in an airplane, killed in a car accident, got violently ill & died, burglarized & killed, mysterious deaths, Not Guilty and went to jail, lost everything, etc, etc...Well the threats may be getting deeper and darker!!

In the past you have given people a chance to vote on whether they would like to see prayer again allowed in schools. I certainly would like to see Christian prayer made legal again in our public schools, but that would be impossible today because it would also allow for any kind of prayer such as prayers by Muslims and other types of worship of any other false gods. Unfortunately it is to late to restore true worship in our public schools in this day and age.

I wonder if Obama's DOJ has been left in place? That would be criminal in our way of thinking, as they made so many anti-American decisions under B.O's administration. They should be replaced by our president immediately. Am I on the right track? Can that be done?

We are SO disappointed in many of our elected legislator who are fighting against our presidents good plans, so he can't move forward and make progress to fulfill his promises. None of us plans to donate to the Republican party until they get on board with our president.
We are sick and tired of knowing the Hillary is getting by with so much criminal activity, while they concentrate on trying to impeach President Trump. Mueller and his gang need to be stopped, we think.

I have another question. What is Vice President Pence doing? We hardly hear anything about what he is doing - although I believe that he, like you, is doing all he can to help turn America around to be a nation unto God, as we once were. So we just pray for him.
Thank you for all you do brother, Dave

I like your sense of humor, but isn't it sad that the DOJ personnel are not doing their duty in answering requests for documents, and that congress must threaten them with legal action before any action is taken? If my laxative were that slow in creating movement I'd get another one. It's time to be rid of both Sessions and Rosenstein. DOJ clearly has a management problem. Trump needs to say, "You're fired!" to both of these clowns masquerading as government employees! Maybe he can use one of his latest EO's concerning federal employees not doing their job. Come to think of it, maybe he had them in mind when writing it!

This would be very ??funny?? were it not SO TRUE, and SO SAD for the state of America-- if our nation no longer has/is a JUST government...???? WE ARE DOOMED!! ?? I'm beginning to wonder if the corruption is so deep that it will never be eradicated even after exposure!?!?! ????

Remember the movie "Men in Black"? Well, the DOJ has access to a neuralyzer and used it on Mr Gowdy and crew. No other explanation could fit. Unless, there may be a clone of J. Edgar Hoover behind the scenes and Mr Gowdy was actually shown his own dossier!

Great tretise Gov. Huckabee! You mentioned Trey Goudy and Ryan's comments. They were shameful. Did you notice Trey Goudy's face when he was telling his lie. He had a very strange look on his face which made it obvious to me that his heart was not in the lie he was telling. Mike, I am 81 years old and I have spent many years reading human facial expressiions; and I'm telling you now that he was lying through his teeth. While Ryan's expression was somewhat similar, it was not quiet as obvious as Goudy's. I guess maybe he is a better lier than Goudy. I have for many years been a strong supporter of both these men, however, not any more. As I used to hear my granny say "I wouldn't give them air in a jug anymore." God forgive me, Mike, but I really would like to give them a swift kick in the balls.

The "black hole" explanation by Dr. Huckabee, (probably honorary, but definitely earned) regarding lost, misplaced, redacted or otherwise missing documents, handled by the plethora of lawyer laiden justice department and independent investigative teams, trying to uncover the "truth" (do they know what they are looking for?), is more plausible than almost anything out of D.C. of late including our loyal "media". You are to be congratulated for relying on academia, for such a well researched and reported expose' of our intelligence community, they are so patriotic, knowledgeable and insightful. Thank you for your daily insightful and poignant commentary. LM

It is clearly the Leviathan Syndrome, a rampant malady affecting those who venture into DC with the best intentions and quickly fall victims of this deadly disease. Walk into those halls of perversion and your spiritual discernment will hear slithering and hissing on all sides. One of the greatest assets our President has is the lack of political savvy while having an amazing ability to see through the political games and envision a path right through the conflict. You'd think, by now, they would realize their pants are on fire.

I just love you and your sense of humor . That aside , I can't speak for everyone else but, as for me and my family we decided that although N. Korea is important , it is not as important as what is going on here . We will be watching everything that the DOJ does . We use to have the up most respect and admiration for Trey Goudy but, now we believe he has been paid off . We also thought in the beginning that Sessions was a good pick to his job and then he also showed his fear of Hillary and we believe he was bought off . We are the Government and we the people demand these papers be turned over now and without redactions . All papers , in tact . We want to see them ourselves . We have that right . They work for us , we don't work for them as they think . Taking over this mans phone and e-mails as they did are signs of communism . Just a matter of time and we will be next . But, I believe as long as we keep Praying to our Father God for His protection and guidance , He will be with us . I pray that He take care of getting rid of the evil in our Government . THERE IS POWER IN PRAYER !!!!!!!

there has BEEN a black hole in the DOJ since 2009. There is also a blatant black hole in the morals of top people in FBI and DOJ. The evidence is overwhelming. Time for Rosenstein to go to jail and the next lower level to take over the DOJ What's this clown from UTAH doing? It has better be substantial or there IS no credibility in the DOJ from top to bottom. We need top FBI in jail not out selling books. Who has the guts to do the deed? DT is the only leader I'm seeing in this whole affair!

My comment has nothing to do with these articles but is important nonetheless & no one is getting back to me with any answers. I hope YOU can get some answers & get back to me at the email I have listed here?
I am concerned about all the articles I am seeing about Social Security becoming totally insolvent by the year 2034, maybe even sooner.
I'm also concerned about reading that Social Security & Medicare will be cut! I'd like to know if all this is true & I'd also like to know when, IF at all, govt will replace the money it has borrowed from SS? That is not even the govt's money to spend or borrow from, it's money that we are forced to pay into for our future & the govt, as far as I know, doesn't contribute one penny to SS.

Please find out about this. I just retired & I can tell you I am barely getting by so any cuts in either program could devastate millions of people's lives!

    Thank you

Of ALL the email articles I receive, yours is the very best. I read nearly every one of them as I'm very comfortable with the content being truthful, funny a lot of the time and I have forever been a fan of the Huckabee family. Your daughter Sarah is a champ and sooo brave to face all those noisy and too often idiotic 'reporters'. This article regarding the 'black hole' that is consuming so much information in D.C. is hilarious and obviously just exactly what must be happening ... right? Thank you, keep up the excellent work and God bless.

I agree Mike 100% everything is sucked into the dark hole of the Democratic Party! Acid washed and redacted by none other than Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama! It's a total joke what is going on in Washington DC today! When one of the best investigators I thought we had Trey Gowdy turn into a yellow back. And Paul Ryan has the black widow stripe write down his back! We cannot trust Congress to get to the bottom of the problem. We have the FBI the CIA the NSA Attorney General all stabbing the American people in the back!

I thoroughly enjoyed your article on the DOJ's Black Hole. You do have a way with words! I also applaud your commentaries on Kim Kardashian West and prison reform, as well as Nancy Pelosi (Debbie Downer). You are so correct, Government doesn't make wages rise. Keep up the good work.

President Trump should get involved by ordering DOJ to release all requested documents to the oversight committees, unredacted, by a date of his choosing. The President should make it abundantly clear that if his order is not obeyed he will fire both Rod Rosenstein and Jeff Sessions and then appoint someone who will obey his order.

Gov. incredibly, witty and excellent analogy. It would be hilarious if the situation and the subject were not so serious. Perhaps our Congress has been taken over by "space aliens" who have clouded the minds of rationally thinking people. There is certainly something mysterious and decidedly evil afoot. The best answer, I believe, is prayer to Almighty God that he would clear up the foggy, irrational thinking of those people so that honesty and forthrightness will prevail. Keep up the good reporting! ....and blessings to you!
