The choice is clear

As if there weren’t enough issues to mobilize voters on both sides in the upcoming election, Thursday’s news brought two more.

For Republicans, a vast caravan of Central Americans, up to 4,000 strong, is heading northward with the intention of crossing the US border illegally.  President Trump is threatening to send the military and close the border if Mexico doesn’t stop the caravan.  Trump says this is the result of Democrats stonewalling (ironically) all his efforts to impose control on America’s borders, and their intention to impose open borders, abolish ICE and repeal immigration laws if they are elected.

On the other side, Indiana petitioned the Supreme Court to hear an appeal of a ruling that struck down the state’s limits on abortion as unconstitutional.  The law, signed by then-Gov. Mike Pence in 2012, banned selective abortions based on sex, race or ability of the unborn child. Democrats who were willing to do anything – and when they said “anything,” they meant ANYTHING – to stop Brett Kavanaugh from being confirmed out of fear that he would support the weakening of Roe v. Wade and abortion will be certainly be trumpeting this story to scare their voters to the polls.

So the choice is clear: if you want the borders to be secure and existing immigration laws passed by bipartisan Congressional votes to be enforced, vote Republican. If you want to allow the unfettered killing of children in the womb because of their race, gender or disability, vote Democrat.

Wow, when you put it that way, the choice really IS clear!

Bulletin from the Language Police Blotter:

Kimberly-Clark is changing the name of a Kleenex product in the UK after complaints that it was sexist.  What were known as “Mansize” Kleenex tissues will now be called “Kleenex Extra Large.”  The name actually dates back 60 years to a fad in the local area for men to carry large cotton handkerchiefs, which Kleenex hoped to replace.  But like lots of things that date back decades (rationality, civility, accepting the results of elections), the left thinks it has to go!

This may be one of the more benign demands for changing language, but it does give rise to one question: Do women really want equal parity in the competition between the sexes for which gender has the biggest noses?

 "Prince Charming"

You’d think that a man who is literally named “Prince Charming” would be safe from accusations of being a sexual predator, but not under the current standards.

Parents magazine quoted Hollywood actress Kristen Bell as saying that when she reads the fairy tale “Snow White” to her daughters, ages 3 and 5, she asks them, “Don’t you think that it’s weird that the prince kisses Snow White without her permission? Because you cannot kiss someone if they’re sleeping!”

In real life, that’s true.  But again, like “Medicare For All” and “Democratic Socialism,” this is a fairy tale.  The Prince kissed Snow White to break the witch’s spell and wake her from the sleep of living death. I don’t think Snow White called Gloria Allred after she woke up to file a lawsuit against him. Most people would be grateful not to go through life in a brain-dead coma -- unless they live among Hollywood liberals, where they’d fit right in.

Still, I don’t blame this on Ms. Bell.  This insanity was, of course, first voiced by a university professor (as George Orwell pointed out long ago, “There are some ideas so absurd that only an intellectual can believe them.”)  This “gender studies” professor from Japan thought that most of the Princes in fairy tales were going around committing sexual violence without consent.

I wonder if that includes the Frog Prince, who wanted a Princess to kiss him and turn him back into a man?  If he’d known what was coming, he probably would’ve said, “Never mind, I’d rather stay a frog!”

Socialism is in vogue, literally.

Teen Vogue – a magazine run by a billion-dollar publishing company and based on getting teenagers to whine for money from their parents to spend on trendy clothing and other ritzy items – is getting flak for running an article attacking capitalism.  The writer blames capitalism for poverty and tells teens that the only way to save the world from poverty and pollution is socialism.

(For teens interested in facts that aren’t in Vogue at the moment: Between 1980 and 2006, 80% of people living in poverty worldwide were lifted out of it by the expansion of capitalism. Socialism has not only led to poverty, misery and oppression everywhere it’s imposed – a layout on luxury items in the Venezuelan edition of Teen Vogue would have include toilet paper - but socialist nations such as China and the old East Germany are among the most dangerous polluters in history.  In fact, since President Trump pulled the US out of the Paris Climate Accord, America’s CO2 emissions have plummeted thanks to the rising efficiencies of capitalism while the CO2 emissions of the nations attacking him have gone up.)

This is hardly the first time Teen Vogue has attacked the system that’s made Teen Vogue possible and tried to indoctrinate its young readers into failed leftist philosophies. Recent issues have also attacked Fox News and lauded Karl Marx – you know, the type of things teenagers are really interested in.

The good news is that if print periodicals are really headed for (to quote Ronald Reagan, a historic figure teenagers really should be taught about) “the ash heap of history,” then when Teen Vogue arrives there, its writers will feel right at home next to communism.

The article about capitalism vs. socialism in Teen Vogue sounds like classic Soviet "disinformation" aimed at disrupting the U.S. by subverting its citizens. It is more subtle than Russia buying ads on Facebook as it SEEMS to originate from a credible domestic source. However, as we know, academia has been inundated with Marxist ideology so it is trendy with young minds that lack an accurate historical perspective. This may be how the world ends "with a whimper."

Thank you for your alternative to the fake media stories!

Thank you for making many other readers aware of the growing number of alternative TV, radio, and printed sources against the leftist/communist leaning democrats controlled media!

The bad karma of the old confederate slave owner democrats and their KKK colleagues must be totally repaid!

Reverend Huckabee, I wish you the protections afforded by Psalm 91 and the 109th Psalm to our victory in November!

Common Scene has left for greener pastures. He found that living in a world of being able to choose your own gender, not allowed to dream a dream, have an imagination, not allowed to have a voice to speak his own mind without being called a racist, bigot, a hater, a deplorable, etc all too confusing.
Common Scene has decided he likes living in a country of protected borders because without them there is no country. He appreciates his gender correct female wife Imagination to read aloud fairy tales to his children, Justice and Liberty. Who were allowed to live when concieved in the womb to full term birth.
Justice and Liberty will be allowed to grow up in a world where freedom of speech is abundant, only two genders exists, no GMOs allowed to poison the foods they consume and the bees are allowed to pollenate the flowers that grow naturally that carries the fragrant smells which attracks birds and other wildlife.
Common Scene, Imagination, Justice and Liberty For All feel that our history be it plesant and not so plesant stay in the history books, museums, and in public parks for theirs and our children to learn from so that they don't repeat it.
Justice and Liberty would like to live in a world where everyone has an opportunity to florish, to possibly own their own business or to work for a company who is fair to all their employees. Where everyone has the same rights. They want their children Innocence and Ignorance to be seen and allowed to learn how to use their own brains and not follow like blind sheep the wolves out there trying to lead them a stray. They all want to Make America Great Again.

    Mr. Huckabee,

I can't say it any better than this:

II Chronicles 7: 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

If we don't even the Democrats will not be able to govern this Nation. Keep up the good work.

    Thanks, Ed Johnson

While politicians aren't necessarily the smartest people in the nation, one would expect that intelligence would be one attribute for being in congress--or for teaching at a university or any school--but one has to wonder where their brains are these days. I was thinking earlier--now, what would happen if a conservative group protested (can talk or yell, but no hitting, pushing, use of baseball bats, etc) any place chuck, nancy, hilary, booker, and, of course, good ol' maxine are at? You know, the restaurants, the gas stations, the stores--let them know you don't like their policies. Wonder how soon they would sic their armed guards on the protesters and call in the police? And, of course, shout into the tv cameras about how horrible, terrible this all is. I'd give them one second to call on their armed guards.

I see where Minnesota has a law that demands filmmakers to make same-sex films if they make films of a man and a woman getting married? (Hmm...maybe without the cake?) Now, I'm not in the film making industry, but I read on occasions about how different filmmakers had turned down various films. And no watchdog society is standing over their shoulders to determine whether or not they should be able to do this, or demand they produce certain films. How to they get away with that, other than not living in Minnesota. I do see that "the 8th Circuit received a friend-of-the-court brief from 10 states supporting the Christian filmmakers’ right to artistic expression earlier this year." Included are your great State of Arkansas and my great State of Kansas. And, Colorado is now going after Jack Phillips for refusing to make a non-wedding type of cake, but one that depicts or supports LGBT. I guess, because, you know, the Supreme Court ruling was only about WEDDING cakes. I don't know, maybe the fumes from all the marijuana being smoked as penetrated some brains in Denver?

Good for Carter Page, and sure hope that he prevails and that others will follow suit (no pun intended.)

I have an idea for the actress who seems to be offended by the Snow White fairy tale--and probably every other fairy tale and most childrens' books--How about she find other things to read to her child? The majority of us know it's a dadblasted fairy tale and has nothing to do with real life. Just like the cartoons and movies--they are cartoons and movies, not real life. I never knew of any one when I was growing up who even thought about dropping an anvil off a cliff, hoping a road runner would go by. If you don't like the content, just don't watch, don't read.

When the President is telling the people about all the promises kept he should not only tell them that the Dems want to take away those benefits from them BUT they want to give away all those benefits and rights to the illegals
They are more concerned about giving rights and benefits to illegals in the country

I read a few days ago, that the Washington Post (yes I know??), wrote that if we vote for Republicans on Nov. 6, Trump intends to eliminate Medicare. I, a senior citizen, am more than concerned. Trump ran for president saying repeatedly that he would not touch Medicare. Ryan, from my state of Wisconsin has been pushing to get rid of our Medicare. I understand it is the liberal Democrats stating this. I want to know before Nov. 6, if there is any basis for truth regarding our Medicare. If this is indeed what Trump intends to do (even though he said he would not), I WILL NOT VOTE REPUBLICAN. I don’t want to be lied to. I voted for Trump.

I would like some comments on the Fla. Governor's race. We have a professed socialist(maybe facist) running against a Republican. This person is currently embroiled in an investigation into inappropriate handling of taxpayers $ during his tenure as Mayor of Tallahassee,Fl. This person has stated he is in favor of closing prisons, raising taxes, and abolishing the Social Security system. The crime rate in the city ballooned to 78% during his tenure there.
Coulkd you please comment on this?

    Dear Governor Huckabee
Thank you so very much for your newsletter. It is full of plain common sense something which seems to have disappeared lately in our society.
I am saving money every month to be able to take one of those fabulous trips that you plan each year. I know I can't travel on next years trip but perhaps in 2020 I will have saved enough.
    Again, thank you.

Mike, when will President Trump demand arrest warrants for the DNC
operatives? The Bruce Ohrs; the Pages; the Strozk(sp); & theDOJ.. don’t they answer to the Attorney
