BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY

How do you think this is working?

By Mike Huckabee

Even since Los Angeles elected its far-left District Attorney George Gascon, and he began emptying jails and refusing to prosecute criminals under the guise of “justice reform,” crime in L.A. has been skyrocketing. Here’s how brazen criminals have become: a convicted murderer currently serving 40-to-life in San Quentin released a video of him partying with his cellmate and toasting Gascon with prison moonshine, to celebrate what he calculates will be his impending release under Gascon’s “compassionate” new policies.

Personally, I’d prefer to see him stay in prison and send him a new cellmate. Guess who I’d nominate for that position.

"Hero's Pay" leads to lost jobs

By Mike Huckabee

Ignoring warnings that it could harm workers, the Los Angeles City Council voted to force groceries and pharmacies to give a temporary $5-an-hour “hero’s pay” increase to their workers. In response, Kroger announced that it was shutting down two local Ralph’s markets and a Food 4 Less supermarket.

Kroger said it didn’t want to close the stores, but between the increased costs of operating during the pandemic and an extra $20 million added to salaries over 120 days by the City Council, it had become impossible to keep them open. Kroger had previously shut two stores in Long Beach at a loss of 200 jobs after politicians there passed a $4-an-hour “hero’s pay” mandate.

I agree that grocery workers have been heroes during the pandemic, but liberal city council members, not so much. The workers would've been better off if the politicians had just stayed home from work since last March.

But go ahead, Washington Democrats! Double the minimum wage! What could possibly go wrong?

ID Needed

By Mike Huckabee

Dan McLaughlin at National Review reports that Washington, DC, officials announced that to ensure only DC-residing essential workers are receiving their doses of COVID-19, recipients will be required to show some form of ID such as a work ID badge, paystub or letter from their employer.

As McLaughlin notes, liberal officials have no problem requiring people to show an ID when it’s something they actually care about, unlike making sure the vote is honest.

Smashing the Narrative

By Mike Huckabee

Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) keep trying to tar every Trump voter as a violent insurrectionist. But Dr. Jordan Peterson shared the results of a study that found that conservatives are the group of Americans who least support the idea of violence ever being justified in pursuing political goals.

“Very conservative whites” were the absolute least supportive of violence (4.2%.) Meanwhile, the number of liberals who support using violence to advance political goals is rising, with “very liberal whites” the most supportive (33.5% compared to 13.1% in 2018.)

This might explain all those tweets from leftists who want to shoot Trump supporters or put them in concentration camps because they think conservatives are Nazis. Their self-awareness is almost as lacking as their knowledge of history.

New York's Two Senators Speak Up

By Mike Huckabee

Add New York Democrat Sens. Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand to the list of powerful people calling on Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign. This after a seventh woman came forward to make sexual harassment allegations against him. Cuomo is still refusing to consider quitting.

In a joint statement, the two Senators said, “Due to the multiple, credible sexual harassment and misconduct allegations, it is clear that Governor Cuomo has lost the confidence of his governing partners and the people of New York. Governor Cuomo should resign.”

Other big name Democrats who’ve called on him to resign for the same reason include Reps. Jerry Nadler and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Considering that the sexual harassment allegations are still just allegations that have yet to be verified, but we know for certain that he forced nursing homes to take in COVID patients, leading to thousands of deaths of elderly residents that were undercounted in order to cover up and dodge a DOJ investigation, it would have been nice if they’d mentioned that slight bit of misconduct, too. But Democrats will be Democrats, and these are their priorities.

In a stunningly ironic twist, Cuomo blamed “cancel culture” and “politics” for the calls for his resignation, which he refused to heed, and insisted he’s telling the truth. Click the link to see how this differs greatly from what he said when then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was hit with sexual abuse allegations that were far less credible.

I love it. You used our line. “You win a cookie.”. My husband and I have been saying that for years after Don Rickles said it at the end of “Kelly’s Heroes”, when they were dividing the gold bars they took from the German bank behind enemy lines. Thank you Mike. You made my day.

The conservativereview has an article about states working on the border wall ..

    https://www.conservativereview.com/horowitz-wall-construction-under-biden-red-states-can-complete-border-wall-in-texas-and-arizona-2651020527.html?utm_source=cr-dailyAM&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=CR%20Daily%202021-03-11&utm_term=ACTIVE%20-%20CR%20Daily

One line mentioned the idea of a "crowdsource" where public funding could assist in funding the wall building, rather than just dump it on the border states. As mentioned, public support of funding would both embarrass the Biden administration, demonstrate the public feeling, and everyone (regardless of party) could take part, it would be a no-fraud vote. I think it's a great idea, and I'm sending it to you, as you have a vast audience that could fan this flame. I hope you'll run with it.

Gavin Newsome turned San Francisco into a garbage pit with his liberal policies and Sanctuary City status. When Newsome left the Soros backed District Attorney George Gascon came along with his special brand of lax law enforcement and turned San Francisco into a cesspool where it remains today.
Now as the Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon is trying the same thing but it is now attracting the attention he should have gotten years ago.

Another great newsletter. Los Angeles is in a very dark place. Who in their right mind would live there, oh, democrats?? What that DA is doing with prisoners (felons!!) is outrages. I saw the segment on Fox of the mother's plea & it was heart wrenching & how her son was brutely murdered, horrific. Cuomo should be held accountable for his nursing home deaths, then let's see about the sexual allegations. What President Trump did for NY & Cuomo's complaining, he should just stay out of view & shut his mouth. He's a degenerate... How do we stop this administration from carrying out their progressive agendas? Pelosi must go, but how? Do we have to suffer more under her Nazism??

Party leadership and commentaries use “Democrats” or Replications” almost like four letter words. I realize that you are being sarcastic/tongue in cheek. I agree with most of your views. However, we cannot have unity if we consistently hear all Democrats and Republicans being lumped into the current liberal/conservative categories. Let change to unity begin with you. Be a little less politician and a little more preacher.

How wide know is it that BLACK LIVES MATTER is MARXIST other than the FOX NETWORK. There has been a pattern of lying and omitting information from initial reports from incident sites.

I am no apologist for Cuomo. To me he is a typical Democrat politician. The nursing home debacle was incredibly heartless. I do not believe in all the random suing that goes on but I assure you that if I had lost a loved one in one of those nursing homes, .I would bring suit against NY and Cuomo. He may be protected as a Governor. As to the harassment allegations, I understand women have to put up with a lot but they should report it to HR immediately after it happens as well as to their immediate supervisor. If nothing is done, then to the police. If they lose their job, I am sure an attorney would love to take on a suit. I am afraid that I am cautious because sometimes people pile on for the notoriety. I suspect he did say inappropriate things but the most physical thing was apparently a quick kiss. Not appropriate, but not rape either. A lot of men will suggest but when the woman says no, calmly without drama, they back off.

I find it interesting that it took 7 (so far) women to come forward with accusations of alleged sexual harrassment to finally get NY's 2 democRAT senators to speak up and demand Cuomo step down, and crickets about the thousands of probably democRAT voters in nursing homes he allegedly killed. I imagine the raft of democRAT lawmakers in NY going after him may also have swayed them.

Hi Gov. Love your show by the way.
My thoughts on Cuomo. Although the misconduct allegations are bad, I am inclined to believe that they are a red herring to deflect from the real scandal of the nursing home deaths. I mean 15,000 deaf, cover ups by not just Cuomo. Why aren't Schumer et al calling for investigations into that? Does that run deeper than we are lead to believe? Also, do you think they want someone even more progressive? What are they up to and what are they hiding? Don't get me wrong, these sexual misconduct allegations are serious... but no one died. What is going on here and why is the White House silent? Way too many questions here.

This has nothing to do with the content of your column but is FYI. I must click on any of your links (except the one to go to your website to read the day's offerings) three times in order to read them. The first two times always show a page of three possible errors. If I click on the links from the web page, it's a win! Just think that's odd.
