THE FLYNN CASE: UNMASKERS' MEMORIES HAZY, JUDGE SULLIVAN CRAZY

It didn’t take long. Yesterday, the names of those who’d called for the unmasking of Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s name were made public, and they were mostly the usual suspects --- and more, to total about two dozen. Of course, then-FBI Director James Comey and then-CIA Director John Brennan are there, from even before Flynn and Sergey Kislyak had “the” phone call they were all so interested in.

Though presidential candidate Joe Biden said Tuesday from his basement that he knew nothing” about the investigation of Flynn and then –- later in the same interview, with George Stephanopoulos –- admitted he “was aware” of the investigation but nothing more, it turns out he personally had requested the unmasking of Flynn’s name. And when did he do that? January 12, the very day that David Ignatius at the WASHINGTON POST published a column not only mentioning the call with Kislyak but talking about the Logan Act. Seems Biden was a wee bit more involved in the case than he’s let on.

Of course, there will be jokes and possibly even serious comments about Biden actually not being able to remember this. What does it tell you about your candidate when your defense for his lying is to call attention to his obvious mental decline?

SENATOR BURR UNDER FBI INVESTIGATION

It’s been reported that on Wednesday, the FBI showed up at Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr’s (R, NC) home with a search warrant for his phone and Internet records. They are reportedly looking for communications with his broker, related to an allegation that he used insider info to dump stocks just before the coronavirus pandemic tanked the markets. Burr has previous said he did sell stocks because of the coronavirus, but solely because of concerns over public news reports about what was happening in China.

This is a developing story, so we’ll have more when there is more. All I’ll add is that if the FBI wants to raid the records of a Congressional Intelligence Committee chairman, I could name another one who’s definitely worth a closer look.

PRAYERS FOR MELISSA ETHERIDGE

I am very sad to report that rock musician/singer Melissa Etheridge’s 21-year-old son, Beckett, has died at 21 due to opioid addiction. The boy’s biological parents are Etheridge’s former partner Julie Cypher and rock singer David Crosby, who has waged his own well-known battles with addiction. Opioid addiction has become a widespread scourge, one we’ve covered on my TBN show, and I fear it may start rising again the longer the lockdowns and economic devastation drag on.

I have always liked and respected Melissa Etheridge, who took a lot of grief from her liberal/LGBTQ activist fans for performing on my Fox News show with our band, with me on bass. I'm sure we agree on very little politically, but she is a rare liberal who understands what true liberalism, with respect for all viewpoints, really means. She didn’t embrace the intolerant attitude that only people of certain political views are allowed to listen to her music, and knows that music is one of the few, much-needed things that bring us together. Another thing that we can all share is empathy for anyone who suffers the death of a child, the worst thing that can happen to any parent. I extend my prayers and sympathy for the heartbreaking loss of her son.

MICHIGAN'S GOVERNOR DOESN'T GET IT

Across the nation, Americans are getting fed up with being told that staying home and going bankrupt is the only way to avoid the coronavirus. And they’re winning some legal authorities to their side

Dallas salon owner Shelley Luther was released by the state Supreme Court after being jailed for refusing to apologize for going to work. And now, the Wisconsin Supreme Court has dealt a major blow to overreaching bureaucrats, allowing bars, restaurants and concert halls to reopen unless local regulations bar it.

The court decision didn’t challenge the Governor’s emergency declaration, but it did strike down a stay-at-home order issued by the Health Services Secretary-designate, ruling that she did not have the power to ignore state rules that the legislature has to have a say in any such orders. In short, one unelected office holder can’t take it upon herself to order everyone to stay home in violation of their constitutional rights. Now, I’d like to see a few more courts remind ELECTED office holders that they also don’t have the power to violate people’s constitutional rights.

Meanwhile, the drama continues in Michigan over Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s draconian shutdown orders. In the latest developments, a rural mayor and sheriff say they won’t enforce orders that they deem to be unconstitutional, and the state Senate leader slammed her as being “drunk on power”…

Whitmer, having apparently learned nothing from the saga of briefly-jailed Dallas salon owner-turned-icon Shelley Luther, retaliated against 77-year-old barber Karl Manke by yanking his barber’s license for refusing to stay closed any longer, even though it would have meant he would have gone out of business. Manke’s attorney said, “It’s pure retribution. It’s abuse of power: ‘How dare you stand up to me?’”

It’s also just about the worst politics I’ve ever seen, short of kicking a disabled person’s service dog on live TV. If Whitmer even makes it to a reelection campaign, I predict there will be no shortage of commercials reminding us of how she demonstrated her empathy by seeking to crush an elderly barber who was just trying to survive her policies.

Well, on the bright side, at least she didn’t arrest a grandmother for urging children to play outside in a public park. No politician could be that dense, right? Right?...

THE LIST

Here is some more information on the list of Obama officials who sought to unmask information about Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, some of whom have publicly denied it as many as seven times, sometimes while testifying to Congress. I'll bet they're all really upset at having their own identities unmasked. Cry me a river.

As Democrats circle the wagons to deny that there was anything unusual or wrong about this, Sen. Rand Paul is demanding a Senate investigation beginning as early as next week. That would include Joe Biden. Paul said, "This is an abuse of power that should not rest and should make every American worried that if Vice President Biden were elevated to the top office, would he again use this kind of power on political opponents?"

Considering the massive effort to drag Joe over the November finish line, I’d say that’s probably the entire point of the campaign.

Bible Verse of the Day (KJV)

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Psalm 73:26 (KJV)

The draconian governors in this nation make Ole Pharaoh look like an angel. He finally did let the people go. Evidently, more plagues need to come upon the prisoned states followed by a miraculous parting of the Great Lakes, the mighty Mississipp, the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, plus other significant bodies of water to get the attention of the Hitler-type politicians so the American people will be freed from bondage. Thus type of ill treatment just shows how much power and control are first and foremost in many of the state and local leaders of this nation as well as several members of Congress. Fear is the product of power and control! As the late Zig Ziglar said, FEAR is

    False
    Evidence
    Appearing
    Real

    LET THE PEOPLE GO!!!

Hopefully, all questioning will be done openly. And sleepy Joe will have to account for himself, by himself. And the same for the rest. They were brazen enough to do what they did, admit it to everyone. I'm waiting for all to see what they have done. To see them for the criminals that they are.

Mike this is an amazing time to be alive to witness evil doers being held accountable for their deeds. I thank the Lord for your wisdom and HIS power to uncover evil. Read Joel2: 1-11 and realized if using the words "trump-pence" it all makes perfect sense. Coincidence in not a word in the Jewish vocabulary. Love what you are doing. God Bless YOU

First, I love reading your articles! Second, though I live in northwest Indiana, I have many friends in Michigan. What is the LEGAL way that the Michigan governor can be removed from office? There's got to be a way, right? Thanks.

    Gov
This attack on Senator Burr is a clumsy attempt to intimidate and bully the GOP committee that should investigate the Obamagate scandal.
