There’s no shortage of wealthy celebrities hiding out in their mansions inside walled and gated communities while cheering on and financially supporting violent rioters who are burning down and looting other people’s neighborhoods. But if you had to pick a poster child for liberal hypocrisy, former NBA and ESPN star Chris Palmer might have just taken the prize. (Warning: link includes foul language.)

Palmer started off by cheering on the burning of an affordable housing unit in Minneapolis (he later claimed he didn’t know what it was, but considering he tweeted, “Burn it all down,” it apparently didn’t matter that much to him what it was.) Just 24 hours later, the mobs were trying to breach the walls of his gated community in Los Angeles, and it was a very different story. Palmer was frantically tweeting, “Get these animals tha (bleep) out of my neighborhood. Go back to where you live.”

Later, he reported with relief that the hated police showed up and chased them away, and the only loss was a Starbucks (possibly some small business owner’s franchise, maybe even a black small business owner, but if you just want to “burn it all down,” then what difference does that make? But I digress.) Palmer tweet-ranted about the protesters who’d dared to threaten his property, “Tear up your own (bleep). Don’t come to where we live at and tear our neighborhood up. We care about our community. If you don’t care about yours I don’t give a (bleep.)”

I wonder if it occurred to him that some of the “protesters” in Minneapolis, the ones smashing property and setting fires, were also attacking someone else’s neighborhood, and the people who actually lived there didn’t want their homes and businesses burned down and looted any more than he did?

You are sooo right, Mr. Huckabee! The attitude of NBA and ESPN star Chris Palmer is an EPIC example of and the spot-on poster child for liberal hypocrisy.
But the liberals' insistence on the defunding of police officers -- Palmer will just have to fend for himself. I suggest that, with his money, he gets himself a big firetruck, fill it with water; and hire mercenaries to guard his property. He can afford to anyway, even if I suspect the mercenaries (knowing they're the rich's last resort) now charge much, much higher, especially people as sefl-entitled and power-tripping as Palmer is.
And then, he can have them all in readiness

I’m sickened about all the verbal and physical violence we are experiencing in our country today. We only have each other! There has always been the naysayers amongst us but now it’s gone way beyond that. I can only believe what the Bible says about the tares and satin right now, is coming to life.
I pray to the Lord for his guidance and mercy.

This just cements the ignorance and careless speech of the “rich and famous “. Who cares what they say or think?

First of all, Mr. Huckabee, thank you for providing vital information that helps me to make sense of what’s happening (well, it fors, and it doesn’t). Is what’s happening with the protests too big and out of control to really subdue the situation? Is there a greater concern for needless Lives lost?
I thought if you’re breaking the law, you get arrested.
So, how does this, and will it, get us back to some semblance of order?
Could this possibly be a distraction for the Obamacare hearings that begin tomorrow?
Have a blessed evening. Again, thank you.

What a wonderful commentary on what is happening. So many people are fueling the flames of chaos and destruction for political reasons, many just to see it destroyed. Civil disobedience is necessary to make changes at times, but this must be done with powerful words, dignified action and a respect for order and law.

It is horrific what is happening in our America, our state of Minnesota. We are praying and trusting God that we get our AMERICA LOVING PRESIDENT TRUMP in office again in November! The left is going to find out what they are doing and allowing happen. It will be their downfall! God is more powerful than anything. Our great Creator! etc, etc.

These are both opportunists and politically as well as morally ignorant. They somehow think they have the power to change “things” when they are actually puppets for the Deep State. Fortunately they are the real losers on so many levels. Pitiful

The hypocrisy of the left is beyond anything I’ve deemed conceivable in my 65 years. What’s more is that their hatred is founded in a nonexistent straw man they’ve made of Trump, that has no basis in reality whatsoever.
