2. “Huckabee” Preview

With the ice storms and COVID behind me, I’m back in the studio with another new episode of “Huckabee” tonight on TBN! Russian-born former intelligence officer Rebekah Koffler, author of “Putin’s Playbook,” will give us some expert insights on the invasion of Ukraine. On the lighter side, we’ll visit “Our Kind of Town” and share some laughs with “In Case You Missed It” and comedian Robert G. Lee. Then get ready for some fantastic music from CMA Musician of the Year, the amazing Jenee Fleenor.

We’ll count it down at 8 and 11 EST, 7 and 10 CST, and Sunday at 9 EST/8 CST, on TBN. To find out how to watch TBN, from local cable and broadcast channels to streaming, visit https://www.huckabee.tv and click on “Channel Finder” on the top menu. You can stream previous episodes, highlights and online-only “Digital Exclusives,” including extended interviews, “In Case You Missed It” and “Facts of the Matter” segments, plus extra performances by our great musical and comedy guests and links to all their sites, at https://www.huckabee.tv. You can also find past shows, highlights and digital exclusives on YouTube and my Facebook page.

3. Major Ukraine Stories we are following

As we continue to pray for the people of Ukraine, here’s today’s link to continually-updated news on the Russian invasion:

https://www.foxnews.com/live-news/zelenskyy-video-cheered-at-pro-ukraine-rallies-across-europe-live-updates

Among the major stories: A U.N. agency estimates that 1.45 million people have fled Ukraine since the invasion began. Russia denied an accusation that it violated a temporary ceasefire to protect safe humanitarian corridors for evacuees. NATO rejected imposing a no-fly zone over Ukraine, calling it a “painful decision” but saying that NATO has a responsibility not to escalate the conflict into a wider European war by engaging with Russia in the air or on the ground. Putin said that any no-fly zone imposed by a third party would be viewed as “participation in the armed conflict.”

A reminder that with any fast-breaking news from a war zone, some stories will turn out to be incorrect through honest mistakes and others may be spin or outright propaganda. If journalism is the “first draft of history,” then this is a first draft written under an impossible deadline while bombs are going off, so take everything with a grain of salt until it’s confirmed.

It’s hard to believe that Washington, DC, would have to worry about a fertilizer shortage, but that’s the latest serious threat. Russia produces about 13% of the world’s supply of potash, phosphate and nitrogen for fertilizer. Prices are already rising astronomically, and Russia is reportedly considering withholding exports, which could create worldwide food shortages, if other nations continue their crippling sanctions. All that reliance on imports still looking like a good idea?

https://www.westernjournal.com/russia-strikes-back-western-sanctions-threatens-world-food-supply-heinous-move/

In a dramatic show of defiance, the entire staff of Russia’s Dozhd or TV Rain news channel ended their broadcast by walking off the set in protest of the government crackdown on journalists reporting on the invasion of Ukraine.

https://www.foxnews.com/world/russian-news-walks-crackdown-media

Friday, Putin signed a new law that could fine or jail journalists for up to 15 years for reporting "fake" news about the military and invasion that conflicts with statements from Russian officials. This includes using the words “war” or “invasion” to describe the war and invasion. TV Rain has been accused of "inciting extremism, abusing Russian citizens, causing mass disruption of public calm and safety, and encouraging protests" by reporting on the attack on Ukraine.

I’m grateful we live in a nation with free speech and the Bill of Rights to protect us from out-of-control tyrants who would bully the media into helping silence people under the guise of them spreading “misinformation” that might “cause confusion or sow mistrust” in the government. Thank God that could never happen here.

In a related story, CNN announced that it will stop broadcasting in Russia due to the new law making it illegal to air “fake news.” Decide for yourselves whether this is a protest or an admission of guilt.

4. New Standards

Friday, President Biden announced new standards for products purchased by the federal government to be considered “made in America. He’s raising the amount of American-made components from 55% to 75%. What a xenophobe!

5. Even Elon Musk

While the Biden Administration insists on putting its “climate change” agenda ahead of American energy independence, affordable fuel and now, world peace and international security, even Elon Musk, who’s become incredibly rich selling electric cars, is urging Biden to drill, baby, drill!

6. Avoid this school like the plague

I know the list is getting longer than a Democrat spending bill, but if you’re a parent with a child who will soon be going to college, add CUNY Law School in New York to the list of universities to avoid like the black plague. Unless you want your kids to lose their right to free speech, be forced to endure radical left indoctrination, and be bullied into silence by leftist fascists with the tacit approval of the administration.

7. Unable to perform

A recurring theme of this newsletter is the left’s inability to perform longterm strategic planning. Their arguments, principles and policies can all reverse on a dime, depending on what’s needed to advance their immediate goal or win the next election and hang on to power. For instance, I’m suffering a little whiplash just from watching them pivot from deriding the Second Amendment and their “deer don’t wear Kevlar vests” cliché to cheering Ukraine handing out rifles to citizens to fight Russian tyranny.

But if you’d like to see a sterling example of obtuseness when it comes to longterm planning, watch them argue that restarting the pipeline projects Biden killed won’t reduce Russian oil imports because they won’t be finished for years; and instead we need to develop “green” energy sources that won’t be available for years.

In your item #3, your humor is not lost on us about the purveyors of fake news. Your mention of imports in #3 struck a cord that has bothered me for a long time. American business people are so greedy, and care more about their bank accounts than they do their own American people. They contract for goods made by slave labor, and usually the goods are crap right down to the phillips screw that rounds off at the slightest resistance. Also, no one should forget that the majority of our pharmaceuticals are made there. Depending on the chicoms for blood pressure medicine is not how I want to go out.

As for #5, even Elon knows that it takes petroleum and compressed carbon to make electricity. It also takes petroleum among many other of earth's minerals to make his batteries. Now, if we could just do something about the slave labor of children in the Congo who mine the batteries' major ingredients.

For some reason your newsletters are not on my email any more, even though I been getting them for several years. They are first ones I read in the morning and evening. I came to your website to read the ones I have missed. Signed up again and still didn't receive it. Wonder if any of your other followers are having the same problem?

I’d suggest sending a copy of Sun Tzu’s “The Art of War” to Biden, but it’s not written in Dr Suess style. I doubt he could understand it even if it was.

I'm so glad that you explained the birdbrained "logic" of the left Unable to Perform. The link only said that HTTP ERROR 400 - BAD REQUEST! Wow! They got that right.

FALLOUT from the destruction of nuclear power facilities does not seem to be discussed. Today there was a north wind, which would blow fallout from such an explosion into Turkey, Greece, and some other countries. Maybe they should be more concerned.

    Mike
    Funny, isn't it?

The Democrats claim to be the Progressive Party, but think about it.

150 years agothose that founded the so called Democrat party didn't want to know or care about the suffering of b
Blacks because their slavery made them rich. And now, Here they are 150 years later as we say and they don't care about the Uyghurs. Because their slavery makes them rich. But there's another thing I'd like to ask. Why is it? They don't care about the colored Uyghurs but they do care about the white Ukranians ?

    Just a question.

1 - Regarding CNN, I vote for "admission of guilt".

2 - The Biden cabal will not acknowledge Elon Musk because his vehicle manufacturing is NOT unionized. Same reason Tesla was not mentioned in the SOTU although Tesla has invested $50B+, where Ford/GM combines are at $18B.
