Michael Update

At the link is an update on the latest toll of deaths and property devastation from Hurricane Michael.  Many people are still missing, hopefully just unable to reach their families due to the widespread power outages.  I hope you’ll join me in praying for their safety and their swift reuniting with their loved ones.  In the meantime, those who aid the victims of storms are on the scene and need all the help they can get.  You can donate at or at  The great people at Samaritan’s Purse could also use any volunteers who’d like to help.  If you have some time that you could take off to come join the effort, you can learn how at their website.

Here’s what “MAGA: Make America Great Again” really means:

The government just announced that on August 31st, the number of job openings in the US hit an all-time record of 7.136 million.  That shattered the previous record for job openings, which had been set in July.  Also in August, a record 5.78 million Americans were hired.  And more Americans quit their jobs in August, which is a good sign because it means they felt confident of being able to find a better job or already had one lined up.

In three weeks, you have a choice: you can continue on the MAGA path of good jobs and rising income, or you can opt to return to the Democrats’ economic leadership that you suffered through for the previous eight years.  Think of that as “MAJA: Make America Jobless Again.”  The decision is yours.

"Gosnell" Update

The new film “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer” earned a strong $1.2 million in its opening weekend, or over $1700 per showing.  That was good enough to earn it 12th place on the box office chart, which is amazing considering it was on only 673 screens (fewer than 1/6th as many as the #1 movie “Venom”), and the Hollywood studios, the media and social media sites did everything humanly possible to prevent it from being made, finding theaters or even letting the public know it existed.

This is a must-see film.  It’s not one-sided pro-life propaganda, but a gripping police procedural that’s also painstakingly accurate to what really happened in the arrest and trial of the Philadelphia abortionist whose filthy, house of horrors clinic killed countless babies and even adult patients.  The cast, lead by Dean Cain, Sarah Jane Morris, Nick Searcy, Cyrina Fiallo and AlonZo Rachel, is first-rate, and Earl Billings as Dr. Kermit Gosnell is so eerily perfect that you’d swear Gosnell was playing himself (they also all deserve applause for taking roles that won’t make them popular with their leftist peers in Hollywood.)

I’m hearing the same comments from people who’ve attended the film (aside from general praise for how good it is).  One is that they were bracing for seeing disturbingly gory images, but that wasn’t the case. If that’s keeping you away, rest assured that you are shown just enough to make it clear what’s happening, but it’s mostly suggested or described.  Another common comment is that one of the most riveting scenes came when guest star Janine Turner portrayed a well-respected, professional abortion clinic head who is called to the stand to describe how a legally-sanctioned, socially-acceptable, medically-proper abortion is conducted, and Gosnell’s attorney (Searcy) convincingly argues that it sounds more cruel than what his client is accused of.

Finally, everyone has mentioned that instead of rushing for the lobby at the end, audiences tend to sit in respectful silence through the credits.  Not just because they’re thinking about what they just saw (an incredible rarity with today’s movies), but because there is a surprise in the credits that drives home the lengths to which the filmmakers went to make this movie almost documentary-like in its accuracy.

This is a rare example of a film that might actually change hearts and minds, simply just by showing people the plain, unvarnished truth about a repulsive societal evil that we’ve covered up for years with phony euphemisms, like slathering creamy cake frosting over a pile of manure.  A friend who saw it in Texas related to me a story that encapsulates what may be the biggest fear among those who are so desperate to keep Americans from seeing it: as he was walking out of the theater, there was a young black couple in front of him, and the man turned to the woman and said, “After seeing that, I’m voting Republican and buying a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat.’”

But again, the movie itself is not at all partisan.  It goes out of its way to be accurate and even-handed and to give the pro-choice side. As the prosecutors repeatedly insist, this isn’t about a “woman’s right to choose,” it’s about murder and medical malpractice.  It simply shows us the straight, unvarnished truth about abortion.  It's the truth that sets you free.

Democrats pretending to be something they aren't

There’s a lot of talk about Democratic strategists urging candidates not to tell voters what they actually want to do because their policies are so unpopular.  If they admit that once in office, they’ll vote for Pelosi and Schumer as leaders; try to impeach Trump and Kavanaugh; launch a bunch of expensive, pointless, divisive investigations of political enemies; abolish ICE; throw open the borders and raise taxes, people might not vote for them.  So instead, we get this crop of shiny, new “moderate centrists,” who honest-to-gosh and pinky-swear don’t want to wreck the economy and take away your guns and free speech!  Trust them on this!

This hiding of the real agenda has been a tradition for years with many Democrats, who go back home at election time and tell the voters what moderate guardians of the Treasury they are, then once they're safely reelected, go back to voting like Alec Baldwin and spending money like Johnny Depp.  But that kind of duplicity is getting harder to pull off, now that there are cameras everywhere.

Just ask Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, now polling in a dead heat with Republican challenger Josh Hawley.  She and her staffers are the latest to get caught by the hidden cameras of James O’Keeke’s Profect Veritas Action, admitting that she has to say she won’t vote to impeach Trump or to grab your guns because she’s got to win some moderate voters, but once she’s safely reelected, she is so going to grab your guns and impeach Trump.

As one staffer put it, “People just can’t know that” because “it could hurt her ability to get elected.”  But isn't exactly why people should know that?  I'm reminded of the leak of those DNC emails exposing the rigged primary system.  Democrats attacked the messenger but never did refute that the emails exposed the truth that everyone already suspected.  What do you bet the official response to these McCaskill videos will be to accuse James O’Keefe of being a Russian bot?

Well, after two years of engaging in witch hunts, the Democrats finally found some witches.  Just not where they expected.

On the other hand, when you're a Senate candidate in Arizona and you have a history as a far-left anti-war activist who depicted US troops as death’s-headed terrorists; called Arizonans “crazy” when you were out of state; promoted campus appearances by the radical lawyer who represented Omar Abdel Rahman, the “Blind Sheikh” behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombing; once said that when attending an event sponsored by anarchists it would be “inappropriate” to impose your beliefs on them by asking them not to destroy property or carry a weapon; and compared Arizona to a meth lab, inviting a few witches to your rally seems like pretty small potatoes.

Senator Warren's DNA

Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s DNA test revealed that she does indeed have Native-American blood. But after the Boston Globe repeatedly botched the math, gradually reducing the proportion with each new bulletin, we finally learned that she is as little as 1/1024th Native American. For the record, that’s considerably less American Indian blood than the average white American of European ancestry has.

Some on the left are trying to say this “proves” her claim to Native American heritage.  Warren even expects President Trump to pay up on his $1 million offer if she actually was proven to be Native American.  But like the left’s attempts to bring back segregation in schools, treating women like delicate flowers who need fainting couches, and importing an oppressed Third World underclass to do their field and house work, it’s yet another throwback to the unenlightened past when the “one drop of blood” rule meant that having just one drop of black blood meant you were legally black.  And they claim Republicans want to turn back the clock!

As for Sen. Warren, Harvard denies that she got set-aside privileges meant for Native Americans (Harvard has enough racial scandals to deal with now, over their alleged bias against Asian applicants.)  But if she did, then she not only unfairly benefited from those programs, she took a slot meant for someone who really was a victim of racism.  That’s the type of fraud that shouldn’t be rewarded with public office.

However, there may be a bright side to Sen. Warren’s now scientifically-proven “cultural appropriation.” A number of people have noted that this reinforces the traditional idea of America as a melting pot, something that’s been under siege by the left for years as they attempted to attain power by sowing suspicion, hatred and victimhood to divide Americans into warring tribes.  There’s a new documentary that shows how out of touch with reality are today’s officially-mandated racial categorizations, grievance politics and the well-funded diversity industry that needs to keep racism alive to stay profitable.

If leftists can defend Warren by claiming that being 1/1024th Native American makes her Native American, then they’re admitting that virtually all of us can claim to be Native American…and black…and Latino…and Asian…and everything else in the rainbow.  We’re all a beautiful mixture of all the races of the world, just in different increments. And we're growing more mixed with each passing year. We all have that in common. And that gives us something else beautiful that we have in common: regardless of where our ancestors came from or what our bloodlines show, we are all Americans.

That’s what America is all about, and it's time we remembered that that's what really matters.

Mike, I am very disappointed in your supporting Velaire face cream. It is a scam that they bill your acct. if you don't cancel in 14 days. That is total B.S. and you should screen what you advertise better. I thought that since you were putting it on your website it would be legit. NOT SO. I have supported you in the past and I'm just about to cancel you news letter altogether because of this. From pi--ed off.

    Subject: Gosnell
I'm an old coot (85 yrs old) & don't enjoy going to the theater. But, I really would like to see this 'documentary' about the abortionist dubbed as the biggest serial killer. I live in a small town, so it's unlikely that the film would be shown here. That's why I suggest the film makers sell the movie online. They would reach their audience without the marketing skills of Hollywood.

Please help Corey Stewart's campaign as Tim Kaine lies in an ad where he claims he cares about national defense when he was part of the Obama team that obliterated national safety. Please check Tim Kaine's TV ad running now. Stewart objected to a budget passing Congress that isn't a real budget just a tide-over that continues to fund Planned Parenthood and Obamacare. Kaine's TV ad is just one non-stop lie. Someone needs to stop him. Please help.

If we could trace our ancestry back far enough, we would discover we all came from the same two people which makes all the tribal/racial/ethnic fighting seem rather pathetic. I'm blonde and freckled but my ancestry shows European, Asian, and sub-Saharan African. God created all of us equal but different and that is something to be celebrated, not fought over

Fair is fair. President Trump should pay Ms. Warren 1/1024 of the million dollars he wagered, or a little less than a thousand dollars.
....If a Republican claimed to be of Native American ancestry and blood tests revealed only 10% heritage, the Left would ridicule, harass and harangue him or her to death and then the liberal media would have that person buried under a mountain of derogatory newsprint.

Maybe Sen. Warren is suffering from "racial confusion" similar to those suffering from "gender confusion." After all it does not matter what your gender... and NOW... what your race is. You are what you feel like you are!!! In that case, I feel like a million bucks, but, Oh well. Maybe a lotto ticket.
Sen. Warren already cashed hers in with a Harvard education.

Two things set my hair on fire today. First, Hillary rudely saying Monica "was an adult". Wasn't her HUSBAND supposed to be an adult as well? Not to mention older, married and President. And second, when they did the DNA test for Fauxohontas, they didn't use Native American DNA - they used MEXICAN, (and Honduran and something else I forget) but whatever thousandths of a point of something it was - it wasn't Native American. What a knucklehead.

In the first place, we are all descendants of Adam and Eve. That should be the end of the argument or importance of where we came from. Of course I suppose there are those that are not aware of that. This 'race' stuff is a shame!!
My mother and dad were a mix of races from Wales, German, Bohemian, and Irish (for sure). They had 7 children. The seven of us had 23 (some stepchildren mixed in there) whose races we have never asked about. Those 23 married in to several different races. I myself have one adopted black granddaughter (adopted) and she's just as precious as everyone elses children. There are 6 generations of us still alive, a few over 150 of us, and I don't remember ever asking any of my nieces and nephews what races their spouse's are. Who in their right mind gives a hoot anyway. Sen. Warren is simply making a laughing stock of herself, is everyone else, who thinks they are a better person because of the spot on earth they originated from. I worked in food service for close to 40 years and I've worked with every race that lives in this country, and don't recall but a handful that I didn't get along well with, and a few of those had the same color skin. It gets tiresome hearing all the 'racial' junk......

Good evening, Governor Huckabee. I ready your evening edition almost daily and enjoy it so much.

With the mid-term elections quickly approaching, I am concerned about the measures that the White House is taking to prevent voter fraud. I honestly do not know what is being done, but I believe that there may be people voting (illegal immigrants) who should not be able to do so.

    Thank you for your thoughts,

Governor Huckabee, I saw Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer the other night, not because I'm a hard and fast Pro-life right wing nut but because I had followed the case when it was being reported by FOX News. I wanted to see if the movie was going to follow the news had reported. I'm glad to say this was the best movie (Documentary) I've ever seen. It stuck to the truth as reported even down to the empty rows of seats reserved for the press. I appreciated the fact that it was not trying to change anyone's minds about abortion. I did come away with a greater belief about the right of life of an unborn child. The last scene of the young girl that was alive and so beautiful because her mother changed her mind. I as the others in the theater were appalled filth that Dr Gosnell's clinic and home were. How could any doctor practice medicine in that condition.

From me, please send a "Thank you and God bless you" to the makers of this movie.

Reference your article: Democrats pretending to be something they aren't - Imagine that !!!! No matter what any democrat candidate says, no matter what they say they stand for, no matter what they say about their opponent, no matter how nice it sounds . . . THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED !!! The Democrats, the huge majority of them, are all on the same bandwagon of really wanting their liberal agenda and to change our nation to suit them. They are the political party that cares more about amnesty for illegals, sanctuary cities . . . . but not veteran's, not hard working Americans. The Democrats live up to be the corrupt crooks they are. Maybe that seems to strong, but take a hard look at the eight years under Obama, take a hard look at all of his cronies at top levels of government agencies (FBI, Homeland Security, DOJ, Attorney Generals Holder and Lynch and the list goes on and on). Looks at the scandals, the lies and the support for terrorist countries that hate America. That agenda did not just go away when Hillary lost the election. The left liberal agenda still is there and being pushed by the Democrats, no matter what they say or no matter how good their campaign commercials sound.

    Governor Huckabee:
There is enough junk being published about women being "set back" decades because of our new Supreme Court Justice, and I am hearing more women say "It is time we spoke up, talked to officials and had the attacker get his punishment". This "junk" HAS NOT SET WOMEN BACK.....IT HAS SET WOMEN FREE TO REPORT THE INCIDENT, BE BELIEVED AND LET THEIR ATTACKER SUFFER. As that happens, when the prosecution can be quickly, while all details are fresh, the attacker will have some "second thoughts" about getting away with it. LET'S GET THE POSITIVE SIDE OF THIS MESSAGE OUT TO WOMEN EVERYWHERE. THEY WILL BE BELIEVED (WHILE THEY STILL HAVE 'MEMORIES")
TELL THEM GOVERNOR HUCKABEE - they are now free to see their attacker get his punishment!!!!!!!

When you said that Sen. McCaskill "and her staffers are the latest to get caught by the hidden cameras of James O’Keeke’s Profect Veritas Action, …" I was reminded of what Jesus said in In Luke 12:2-3:

"There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed on the housetops." When Jesus said that, nothing could be sent faster than the speed of a horse. Today, we have instant global communications in high-definition color. Secrets are hard to hide.

"Gosnell".....I cannot understand, and it defies all logic, that women that protest and demand illegal aliens not be separated from their children when they come into this country illegally because it's so "cruel" are the SAME women that protest and fight for a woman's right to kill their unborn children. Such is the logic of the left....God help us all.

A melting pot. So true. For fun, my son gifted me with an ancestry DNA kit and I took it. Boy I was surprised. I am a real melting pot the European roots are strong and I told that on my French side of the family there was Ottawa Indian. It's a small percentage but it's there.
You use the term melting pot well. My grandfather used the term mongrel; then said you were born in the United States so you are an American and be a good one.
