1. “Orange Man Bad”
Liberals have had fever dreams for years about seeing the “Orange Man Bad” Donald Trump in an orange jumpsuit, hauled off to prison for all those crimes they’re certain he committed but can’t seem to name. They devoutly believe he must have cheated on his taxes, which I’m sure are prepared by an army of accountants and lawyers and get only as close to him as his autopen that signs them. Then the biased prosecutors in New York vowed to abuse their power to find something, anything, to bring down his company, and so far have indicted an elderly Trump executive with not listing his company car as taxable income.
Wednesday, the Trump Deranged hordes got their dreams dashed again when the two prosecutors who’ve been heading up the Manhattan DA’s investigation into Trump jointly resigned. The New York Times reports that they were frustrated with the direction of the case, which many read to mean, "There is no case." They were such a part of the investigation with so much specialized knowledge and history that Trump’s lawyers say without them, there is no more case, so they expect it to be dropped.

This was started as a partisan vendetta to “get Trump” by former NYC DA Cyrus Vance. Again, we were told Trump was so dirty, there must be dozens of crimes he could be indicted for. But even in a nation where we have so many laws that everyone breaks a dozen before breakfast without even knowing it, they apparently haven’t been able to come up with anything.
It could be the left’s worst nightmare if Trump is not only not prosecuted and sent to prison, but they have to accept that he’s the only politician in New York who hasn’t done anything illegal.
2. Program Dropped
The Biden DOJ has dropped a Trump-era program to monitor and address the threat of Chinese spying in America. The reason: they fear that a program that targets a specific country might indicate “bias against Asian-Americans and Chinese Nationals.”
Don’t worry, I assume they will continue to closely monitor any threats to America that happen to come from Swedish spies working for China.
3. Gasoline-Powered Trucks
The Biden Administration has been pressuring government agencies to buy electric vehicles. But yesterday, the US Post Office announced that it’s finalized a $6 billion plan to replace its 165,000 mail trucks over the next 10 years, and 90% of them will be gasoline-powered.
Well, after all, they do have mail to deliver. It’s got to get through snow, rain, heat and gloom of night, so you can’t have the engines dying when you turn on the headlights.
4. A Terminal Case of TDA
Whose fault is it that Russia invaded Ukraine? If you guessed that it’s the fault of the only President in the past 13 years during whose term Russia DIDN’T invade anyone, then you just might have a terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
5. Here’s a much-needed feel-good story:
Today’s “progressive” DA’s might let criminals get away with anything, even robbing a train – but they’d better hope their mama’s don’t find out, like this Chicago crook’s mother did!
6. Democrats in Power: Terrible All Around
I’ve said for years that while it’s terrible for America to have the Democrats in control, it’s also terrible for the Democrats. That’s because the public, bamboozled by a biased media that encourages short attention spans, tends to forget how bad things can get under the Democrats’ policies so they’re lulled into giving them “one more chance.” But giving power back to them results in them imposing their failed policies against the will of the people, and the pendulum inevitably swings away from the left pretty fast. That’s because despite what the media tell you, America is still mostly a center-right nation, even if the far-left are hogging the megaphone.
Like Ronald Reagan before them, some Democrats are now realizing that their Party has left them. Example: Harriet Holman, a council member in Dorchester County, South Carolina. She’s a black woman and a lifelong Democrat, but she just switched to the GOP after realizing the Democrats have no place for someone like her, a personally conservative, pro-life capitalist who believes in funding the police. You know, what we used to call a normal American. And she still is, we’re just not “allowed” to call them that.
In recent years, as the Party itself has swung even further to the left, that pendulum process has sped up. Biden wasn’t in office for one day before he started imposing unpopular leftist policies that harm working Americans, like shutting down our energy industry and opening our border. His approval ratings almost immediately started crashing, and there’s no bottom in sight.
Just a little over one year later, Biden is toxic even in blue states like California, with a new Gallup poll showing him at 41% approval/55% disapproval nationwide and underwater on every single issue. His handling of the “situation with Russia” has just 36% approval, and I suspect the next post-Ukrainian invasion poll will find it’s even lower.
But Biden’s hardly alone among Democrats in losing the public’s support even in blue areas. In a special election Tuesday in Jacksonville, Florida, Republican Nick Howland flipped a Democrat city council seat with 51.69% of the vote. It was a hotly-contested race with unusually heavy turnout, and even in a liberal district, the Democrat lost. With Howland’s win, Republicans now control every county-wide office in Jacksonville for the first time ever.
Even more stunning, a YUGE majority of ethnically-diverse, mostly liberal San Franciscans voted in a landslide to remove three leftist school board members for being too “woke” at the expense of their children.

As Instapundit reports, leftwing writer Lee Fang dismissed one board member’s absurd claim that the vote was due to rightwing white supremacists, saying there is no rightwing influence there, nobody watches Fox News, the leaders of the recall were non-white immigrants, and the landslide recall was a “vote against woke b***s*** in schools.”
Even the San Francisco Chronicle reported that among those at a celebration of the recall vote was a drag queen in rainbow dress and platform shoes who goes by the name “Gaybraham Lincoln.” He (?) said, “This is what happens when you try to rename the schools in the middle of a pandemic. We wanted to show the diversity of the community behind his recall. I knew they were going to say, ‘Oh, isn’t it just a bunch of Republicans?’ And I’m like, do I look like a Republican?”
Well, he did name himself after a Republican President. You know, the one who freed the Democrats’ slaves. At the rate the Democrats are alienating their constituents, I wouldn’t be surprised if even Gaybraham Lincoln considers switching to the Party of Lincoln.
