Congratulations to Joe Biden, who won a larger-than-expected 48.4% in Saturday’s South Carolina Primary. Bernie Sanders was a distant second at 19.9%, followed by Steyer (11.3%), Buttigieg (8.2%) and Warren (7.1%.) Bloomberg wasn’t on the ballot, which is probably the only thing he hasn’t paid to put his name on in the past two months.

Shortly after the results were in, Steyer and Buttigieg threw in the towel and dropped out. Steyer was predictable; that was largely a vanity candidacy. Buttigieg was a stronger candidate but he aimed above his pay grade. Nobody seriously thinks anyone should leap from mayor of South Bend, Indiana, to the White House. He can run for Congress in some leftwing district and get some federal experience, then he’ll be back. It would be better to run for governor and get some real executive experience, but as we know from the treatment of Mike Pence, Democrats with no executive experience whatsoever think that being Governor of Indiana isn’t a real qualification for anything important.

And if you think President Trump didn’t have anything to say about two more of his would-be replacements biting the dust, well, you really don’t know him, do you?...

Elizabeth Warren is hanging in there, hoping for a Super Tuesday miracle. That seems highly unlikely, given a new Suffolk University/Boston Globe/WBZ-TV poll that shows she’s trailing Bernie Sanders by 24%-22% even in her uber-liberal home state of Massachusetts.

Biden’s South Carolina win not only gives his campaign a desperately-needed boost, it was also the first time he’s ever won a presidential primary in 32 years and three tries, and the first election he’s ever won outside of Delaware. More importantly, it shrinks Sanders’ delegate lead over him from 30 to 8.

But Joe won’t have much time to savor his victory, since tomorrow is Super Tuesday, when primaries are held in 14 states and American Samoa (and no, Joe, that’s not a Girl Scout cookie.) Biden has been clinging on for a win in South Carolina to shore up his campaign, but during the past month, he hasn’t held a single Super Tuesday rally while Bernie has been rising in the polls and Bloomberg has been blanketing the airwaves with ads.

The biggest plum, with 415 pledged delegates and 79 superdelegates, is California. A new poll by Nexstar Media and Emerson College shows Bernie leading there with 37.8%, nearly 17 points ahead of Biden. Sanders also has 23 campaign offices in California to Biden’s one. But then, it was always assumed that Bernie would win California, since it’s his natural constituency: people who will keep voting for far-far-left nuttery no matter how badly it ruins their lives. California Democrats have become like co-dependent spouses who keep supporting their abusive partner no matter how many times he spends all the food and rent money on drug needles and condoms and handouts to his deadbeat friends.

One of the big questions about Super Tuesday (and another argument against early voting) is what about the two million or so votes that were already cast with Buttigieg and Steyer on the ballot? Anyone who already voted for them only to have them drop out two days before the primary might feel as if they’d thrown their votes away (if I were mean, I’d say they should've probably felt that way anyway.) Biden can’t count on all those “moderate” voters swinging his way. Bloomberg skipped the early states to concentrate on Super Tuesday, so any votes he pulls would likely be from Biden’s target demo, not Bernie’s.

I refuse to make any predictions or advise anyone to drop out, because I know what a difficult and personal decision that is. But there’s no question that as long as the votes remain fragmented, it’s likely that Bernie, with his hardcore leftist cult, will continue to do well. And if he makes it to the convention with not quite enough delegates, and the Party establishment brokers a deal to nominate someone else (Bloomberg, Hillary, Michelle Obama, The Rock), I wouldn’t count on the Bernie Bros calling off their riots and putting down their bongs long enough to vote in November for whoever they think ripped them off again. And if the candidate is Bernie, I imagine a lot of moderate Democrats would find something better to do on Election Day, as well.

If you’d like to dig even deeper into the what if’s and potential maybes of the primary season/Democratic convention, Mary Anne Marsh is a Democratic political analyst for Fox News and she has more of a stomach for writing about these people than I have.

This comment has nothing to do with this Biden post. It has to do with the $7.8 Billion congress just "allocated" to deal with the "Corona Virus." The Galilee Research Institute, MIGAL, has already made it known that they will have a Corona Vaccine ready in about 8 weeks. There was NO NEED to allocate this money. Big Pharma is being handed BILLIONS to do what? NOTHING. What happened to the BILLIONS left over from the money handed out to combat the EBOLA VIRUS? This is yet another "corporate handout." Nothing like a VIRUS to get an excuse to hand out taxpayer dollars to corporate America.

I initially saw Bloomberg political ads with Obama. Now I see Warren ads with Obama. What is the strategy here?

I don't have a comment about this article. I am wondering if you are familiar with the 2015 movie, Cartel Land. This is a powerful documentary created by Matthew Heineman about vigilantes fighting drug cartels, in the US and in Mexico, and the lack of government support on both sides of the border. Heineman spent 9 months in Mexico and Arizona, earning the respect and trust of the groups. In fact, the Mexican government has infiltrated, emasculated and then basically made the drug trade part of government operations. Check it out! Jose Mireles, MD, the leader of the Mexican movement was arrested on weapons possession charges in 2015 and remains in prison. This movie is a strong support for Trump's efforts.

I am sick and tired of DemonRats ranting and raving, stirring up fear over the Coronavirus, lying about their achievements and about the President of the United States and continuing to lie and attempt to impeach our President. I am sick and tired of the stalemate in Congress. Just sick and tired of being sick and tired. I do not watch the MSM news and I don't read the Main stream newspapers.

You know, Mike, it's getting harder and harder for me to rationalize irrationality and, as well, is it becoming harder and harder for me to NOT keep my mind IN the heavenlies since the irrationality OF earth is also becoming harder and harder for me to relate to!.....AND WHAT HAS INSPIRED THAT INTRODUCTION ARE TWO SPONTANEOUS RESPONSES TO THE FACT THAT.....

While, if I had to choose between Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden, I would choose Joe Biden, but I find it so grievous that there would even BE that kind OF choice in an AMERICAN political party....which, of course, also includes the fact that an AMERICAN political party would be supportive of such a demonic (for that IS what it is) evil like abortion and same sex marriage.....HOWEVER, added TO that fact is the fact that ANY American would vote for a man who was a part of the corruption that AUTHORED the impeachment saga!....because one's political party should not contradict one's BEING an American in the same way that one's church denomination should not contradict one's being a Christian!

AND, in response to Pete throwing in the towel, I say AMEN because it would be an abomination not only to almighty God to have homosexual sin going on in the White House, but it would also be an abomination to America's already godless image in the eyes of the world to have "her" FIRST LADY be a man!....

How many more abominations is it going to take for Christians to start gathering together and fall on their faces, weeping, and crying out to God for mercy! THIS is what will bring about revival NOT Christians DANCING before the Lord as some are claiming! Could it be the scare of the corona virus that will bring Christians out of their INACTIVE indifference to the evil taking over a country that used to be able to claim she was a nation under GOD...and HIS values....and has now become a nation under evil....and, therefore, under Satan...and his values...and for ANY American to define America as being GREAT makes a mockery OF my God and precious Savior who shed His blood to free people FROM the bondage of evil and the bondage to the evil one!!!!

Biden's candidacy for president is ill conceived and has not been properly considered. Biden appears mentally unfit to be president from his many what they call "gaffes". Biden hides, aware of his problem. The people deserve to see more of Biden before voting for him.

Having been raised in Tennessee, I know that there are people there who have voted for the Democrats for many years just because that's what they've always done. It's not necessarily the person they want or admire, but some kind of loyalty to a party no matter what they person running is like or what his or her practice may be. I believe there are very few who actually, really even intend to represent the people who elected them. They go there to "play politics and, sadly, to stay until they die or get rich, whichever comes first.

Klobuchar just dropped out Monday, joining Steyer and Buttigigieg who dropped out Sunday. If Bloomberg has any sense he'll follow next, but what's another 24 hours when you've got billions burning a hole in your pocket? In any case, whether it's Biden or Bernie who gets the Dem nomination, Trump should get re-elected. Keep praying, Everybody! God bless America.

It seems to me that if drugs are made in China's Wuhan area, that some people will get corona virus just taking their meds made in China. Maybe, some people are getting the virus this way, even though they have not been in "direct" contact with people who are sick.

Mike, any vote for any of the Democratic candidates I am sorry to say is a vote in favor of Satan himself! The Democrats have lost their moral compass and minds as well. I pray to the Most Holy God all of the Democrats runnning for office get voted out and those seeking office never ever getting in to office. We are so much better off with R republicans running our great nation!

we all know that Bernie is a deadbeat. He has lived off the system his entire life and knows how to do nothing else. I believe this is his 4th wife? The first three left him when he refused to work for a living. He even lived off welfare for a while, from what I read. He had a child out of wedlock so that he could avoid the draft and he and his 'live in' could collect welfare. He had a small inheritance, that he spent on a cabin with dirt floors and no electricity. Because he refused to work for a living, his circumstances did not improve and no wife is going to put up with that for very long. Then along came his present and 4th wife, who paid for Bernie to mount a campaign in Vermont to be a mayor. Still - no real job. Just still living off the tax payers in one way or another. To this day he has never had any real success at anything. He passed two bills in congress - both of them to name a post office. So who is our hunchback of Vermont attracting with his charismatic rhetoric? People exactly like himself, of course. All the 'occupy Peachtree Park/occupy wall street/occupy everything else in between' potheads who have never had a job - live off Bernie's handouts - as they follow him with their tents from place to place. Who does everyone think feeds these deadbeats?? It's not like they are getting their welfare checks delivered to their tents. They are the radical of the radical, their threats of violence are very real and they are very capable of following through. Don't take their violent threats lightly. They are the Gestapo of of the new age and Bernie is their god.
