Thursday, President Trump made the surprise announcement that a major peace deal had been negotiated between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. A joint statement from Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed said they have “agreed to the full normalization of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.” The statement said that the diplomatic breakthrough was at “the request of President Trump,” and that Israel will “suspend declaring sovereignty over areas outlined in the President’s Vision for Peace and focus its efforts now on expanding ties with other countries in the Arab and Muslim world.”

This peace deal, with its immediate agreement and promise of more, is a huge achievement for Trump, and proof of how much work has been going on behind the scenes while the media obsessed endlessly over the same “gotcha” stories. It’s also a major blow to Iran, which (with Trump’s help) is increasingly isolating itself from its neighbors and making it clear to Arab nations which is the wiser choice: aligning with Israel and the US or with the crazy, threatening crank next door.

I’ll be talking about this more this weekend on “Huckabee” on TBN with US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, so be sure to tune in.

Cartoonist Scott Adams was prescient when he tweeted that twisting this into a negative was going to take all of CNN’s disinformation talent. Some “journalists” attempted to dismiss the historic deal as just an election year stunt or claimed that Trump was angling for a Nobel Peace Prize (we know those only go to people who accomplish really great things, like when Obama…uh…well, I’ll have to get back to you on that one.) Mostly, though, they simply ignored the landmark peace agreement. After all, it’s not like people tune in CNN or MSNBC to get actual news.

But perhaps the most ludicrous response came from Joe Biden (or far more likely, his handlers.) He (they) released a statement praising Israel and the UAE but not even mentioning Trump. Instead, Biden hilariously tried to claim credit for the agreement as an outgrowth of the Middle East diplomatic efforts of the Obama-Biden Administration.

In case you forgot: Under Obama, ISIS grew like cancer across the Middle East, killing, torturing, raping and enslaving countless people. Meanwhile, Iran received $1.7 billion from the US ($400 million of it delivered in cash), which they could use to fund terrorism, their nuclear ambitions, or you know, whatever. They didn’t even have to stop chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” in parliament every day. Obama and Biden enriched Iran, and Trump isolated Iran. Obama and Biden oversaw growing war, anarchy, terrorism and chaos in the Middle East. Trump crushed ISIS and brokered a historic Arab-Israeli peace deal. And Biden wants credit for it. It is to laugh.

Thanks to Instapundit for rounding up some good comments on the deal that were far more lucid than Biden’s (which isn’t hard.) I particularly liked the graphic at the end, comparing all the wars under all Presidents of the past 40 years.

Again, guess which one has a Nobel Peace Prize. And can you guess what is his #1 distinction in the area of Presidents and wars?

From law professor/blogger Ann Althouse, on Joe Biden’s speech and his first tweet after announcing Kamala Harris as his running mate.

Prof. Althouse was appalled by Biden’s attempts to stir up racial division and hatred with his description of what happened in Charlottesville, but also with his attempt, yet again, to claim that President Trump said there were “very fine people” on the side of the racist white nationalists.

Both Biden and Harris claim that “character is on the ballot.” Yet they’re trying to scare black people into thinking Republicans want to lynch them, and (ironically, since his defenders are trying to use the “Trump is a liar” narrative as an excuse for Joe to weasel out of debating him) kicking off their campaign by repeating a scurrilous, slanderous and thoroughly debunked lie.

Even CNN’s Jake Tapper admitted that Trump was talking about people on both sides of the debate over removing Confederate monuments. When the interviewer asked if he meant the white nationalists, he seemed incredulous that anyone would ask such a stupid question and said of course not, neo-Nazis and white nationalists should be “condemned totally.”

As Prof. Althouse points out, Biden piously declared that "’No president of the United States of America has ever said anything like that.’ Well, now, that is true. Because Trump didn't say it.”

She recalls that when Biden first repeated that inflammatory, debunked lie about Trump over a year ago, she wrote this: "If Biden does not come forward and retract [a video relying on the Charlottesville hoax] and apologize and commit himself to making amends, I consider him disqualified. He does not have the character or brain power to be President." Yet, she adds, over a year later, he’s “doubled down on the lie” and is “making it the centerpiece of his campaign!” At this point, she said, “I can't imagine what Biden could do to win my confidence.”

I can’t, either. But I can assure Joe that plagiarizing Ronald Reagan won’t do it.

You know that President Trump’s Israel-UAE peace agreement is a major, unqualified triumph when even Thomas Friedman at the New York Times has to admit that, yes, it is a “huge breakthrough,” a “breath of fresh air” and “a geopolitical earthquake.” And he’s even forced to give Trump and Jared Kushner credit for sticking with the effort. (Starting the countdown clock to the Times firing!)

Of course, he couldn’t choke this out without some requisite Netanyahu-bashing and claiming that Joe Biden is somehow a winner in this deal because “if he succeeds Trump, (he) will not have to worry about the thorny issue of annexation, and he should have a much stronger pro-American alliance in the region to work with.” Yeah, he’s really lucky that he would inherit such a strong, stable Mideast position from Trump instead of the unholy mess that Trump inherited from his immediate predecessor

In other words, if Biden wins, we’ll all be losers. He’ll probably do to the Middle East peace that Trump created what Bill DeBlasio did to the successful New York City that Rudy Giuliani created. And it will fall apart even faster.

From the economy to America's cities to foreign policy, that seems to be the theme of this year’s elections: “Hey, remember how awful things were when the Democrats ran them? Let’s go back to that!”

Truly amazing that the media yesterday Sunday on most of the news shows did not discuss the UAE and Israel peace agreement. Why not? What are they the liberal press afraid of? Hear the mantra of Trump and this virus like he created this mess not China. WHY?

The peace agreement was a great accomplishment. Lets hope Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia see fit to seize the moment also.

A friend sent me info stating Kamala Harris is an "anchor baby" because neither of her parents were American citizens when she was born and therefore, as VP, could not take over the office of the President if/when Biden became unfit. But here's the truly terrifying part; that would mean Nancy Pelosi would become president! Please tell me it ain't so!
If it's true she's an "anchor baby" is someone like that even allowed to be VP?

When you consider how many major accomplishments President Trump has managed to pull off, despite the distraction and emotional drain of relentless, vicious, unfounded and horrifying attacks, including threats against his very life, it truly is incredible. Pray for our country and our President, friends. For his safety, for wisdom, and encouragement. That God would grow a mighty hedge of protection around him and his family. That those who would seek evil against him would not prevail.

I love everything that Donald Trump plans and accomplishes - he is awesome. Just one caution - do not divide or give away one inch of Israel's land. God is watching and in his word he is very clear about dividing the promised land that he gave to HIS PEOPLE. This peace plan that gives land to the Arab people, calling themselves Palestinians, is extremely hazardous for the USA. It's better to be on God's side than on the side of Humans. Just saying...

This is a good step forward. But the Democrats and news media will down play it and figure a way to make a political issue of it on their behalf

I hope you don't mind, but I've copied and pasted your first two paragraphs today, giving you credit of course, and posted them on the websites of 2 anti-Trump friends. I've encouraged them to read you regularly instead of the fake news from the Democrats [Dim Wits] and the liberal media. The only trouble that I can see is that they might harrass you with the lies they've heard, like they do me. I'm hoping and praying that they are honest enough to see the light and convert! Thank you for posting great stuff about Trump! My husband and I might see it on the news later, but we always get it from you first!

Thank you Laura for writing such a wonderful piece. I truly wish our President would use your words & incorporate them into his remarks. Your words are so true, the media has become an enemy of the people, something I thought I would never see; & yet...everyday folks don't seem to recognize that fact! It's darn scary, but I know that our Lord is in control, so I will trust in Him & fasten my seat belt in the meantime! Thank you again!

Think you're fairly computer competent? Go to the U.S. Postal website and try to figure out how apply for a job at your local U.S. Postal service. And then after this consider that this is the agency the democrats want handling your ballot this fall.

Most Americans know what a fool and corrupt person Biden is, the power of our government is powerful and secretive that even a buffoon like Biden can hide within it and conduct corrupt business. Without a conscience one cannot have shame that is why Biden can lie straight into a camera and tell inaccurate feats he has done. Biden is really a fictional character like the Joker in the Batman shows. He has all the character of a DeBlasio I can't find any trait about Biden I can like to me he has all the traits of rotting fruit.

The more conservative of my hometown's 'news'papers has done the same as CNN and MSNBC. It claimed that Trump's words on the post office were an attempt to keep people from voting. The news of the Israel-UAE deal was nowhere in the paper. I didn't want to know what's in the more liberal paper.
This has been going on for a long time, but it's getting worse. I no longer think it's a bad thing that many newspapers are dying.

This maybe something those protestors and rioters and looters should thing about. The following scenrio: The above people decide it is time for them to go back to work and as he or she is driving up to the location where they where employed the parking lot is empty or one of his/her fellow
workers are walking to their with several cardboard boxes with them. This person just jumps out of their car and asks ask what is happening here. The fellow employee replies: WHILE YOU WHERE OUT DOING YOUR THINK IN CHICAGO, PORTLAND, SEATTLE AND OTHER PLACES PROTESTING,
THE COMPANY DECIDED TO CLOSE THIS FACILITY DUE TO SECURITY ISSUES ALONG WITH THE HIGHER PROPERTY TAXES AND LEASE COSTS .LIKE WHAT THEY SAY MONEY TALKS AND NOW YOU CAN SEE THEY MONEY HAD DECIDED TO WALK. I would love to talk but I have to get home and get my PC and commence filing for unemployment. Nice talking to you . As the employee walks away, They now realize their world has now come to an end they never expected.

Hello, Governor Huckabee, I am a President Trump supporter; I am also a Catholic Sister who has to accept that my Superiors can and do post considerable anti-Trump material such as the 3-page Trump vs. Biden comparison that was placed in front of all of us just today. I'd love to send you a copy of it, but I don't know your e-mail address. It would be so helpful if each of those issues would be sincerely addressed by President Trump; those few of us here in this convent anyway, are perceived as almost anti-Catholic simply because of our support for President Trump. Nor are we able to be vocal about it; for example, just because I challenged a Sister who said that President Trump did nothing but make the pandemic worse, I was accused of having become "very angry" (I'm sure I did sound annoyed -- I was annoyed) but I definitely was nowhere close to being "very angry." I'm not expecting you to be able to tell me how to handle myself in my own convent; but it would be VERY helpful if President Trump could somehow help all of the families in our country who are so BITTERLY divided. The family is the backbone of the country and never before have I experienced such bitter division (in my own family as well as others). If President Trump can accomplish peace between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, surely he can do SOMETHING to help us accomplish peace here. I watched the presentation by My Faith Votes last evening and if I could, I would certainly donate to help out. Still, I know that for as many Christians who feel that the soul of our country can be saved only if President Trump is re-elected, there are just as many who believe that he is evil personified (a woman actually said that to me recently in Walmart) and one of my own Sisters said that 1) all the accomplishments that President Trump touts were actually started by the Obama administration and 2) she thinks that President Trump “doesn't have a decent bone in his body.” How do you change such emotional positions? If you go to you can get a sense of what I'm up against, though I couldn't find on that site the exact comparison I wanted to send to you (maybe one has to be a member of the organization and I am not). Anyway, thank you for listening and if you feel so inclined, please let me know your email address so I can send you the copy I referenced.

I had to comment today. I am so glad that you made the comments that you did today about the Israeli/UAE/USA amazing peace agreement. Not even Fox or the Western Journal gave it the top billing that it deserved. It is a phenomenal step forward.
