FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Advice to President Trump from David Horowitz on how to deal with a rogue Supreme Court that refuses to uphold the Constitution. Horowitz makes the case for Trump to “crush judicial supremacy.” I’m sure that’s already got a lot of mainstream media people hyperventilating and House Democrats calling for impeachment before he even does anything. But as Horowitz notes, if Trump refused to accept that unelected judges outrank the elected President and Congress on issues over which they have no jurisdiction, then he would be following the lead of Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton.

Of course, we live in a time when Antifa radicals are destroying statues of Lincoln and Jefferson. I haven’t heard of them attacking Hamilton yet, but that's probably only because they think he was a great rapper.

MOONBEAM CRAZY

How moonbeam-crazy is the mayor of Seattle for allowing anarchists to take over several city blocks of other people’s property and declare it a cop-free “autonomous” zone called CHOP (formerly CHAZ)? So off-the-charts wacko that even the Mayor of Portland, Oregon, thinks she’s gone off the deep end.

A group of protesters threatened to set up their own “autonomous zone” in Portland after the city council failed to meet all their demands, such as cutting $50 million from the police budget (they cut only $16 million – it is still Portland, after all.) But when they started pitching tents, setting up barricades and building their own commie Camp Runamuck, Mayor Ted Wheeler ordered in the cops and cleared them out (Yes, officials can do that! Enforcing the law is actually still possible!)

Wheeler said, “I do not want an autonomous zone set up in Portland. I’m watching what’s happening in Seattle, and I’m not impressed. I think it’s a distraction from the larger movement, and the movement is justice for black people.”

Oh, did I forget to mention that the Portland “autonomous zone” was being set up right next to the apartment building where the Mayor lives? Well, never mind, I’m sure that had nothing to do with it…

PANIC-INDUCING FAKE NEWS

Five ropes were found hanging from trees in an Oakland, California, city park and immediately declared to be “nooses,” racially-charged symbols of terror, and branded as a hate crime. After much frightening and outraged rhetoric from city officials (including the Mayor declaring that “intentions do not matter,” when I thought that was the very definition of a hate crime – it’s right there in the name), an official hate crime investigation was launched. But then, the person who hung them came forward.

It was Victor Sengbe, a black man who says he hung the ropes (actually, multi-colored gym bands) months ago as part of the rigging for a swing system. Sengbe tweeted that he agreed that any sightings of nooses should be taken seriously, but “there are a lot of black folk at the park who know it’s a swing.” He told KGO-TV it was “unfortunate that a genuine gesture of just wanting to have a good time got misinterpreted into something so heinous.”

He should’ve realized that it’s mid-2020: all genuine gestures of just wanting to have a good time will be misinterpreted into something heinous.

Bonus: Responses to the Mayor on Twitter were brutal…

REMEMBER WHEN

Remember when President Trump said he was conflicted about removing Confederate monuments because next, the mob would come for Washington and Jefferson because, after all, they owned slaves, too. The media went into their standard “mock the dumb orange man” mode. But as has happened so many times, he turned out to be right.

Commentary magazine has an interesting think piece on why Trump and conservatives saw this coming and liberals didn’t, as well as a defense of the Founders and why they don’t deserve the attempts to erase them from history. It’s behind a paywall, but if you’re not a subscriber, Instapundit has a lengthy excerpt.

Meanwhile, I’ll await the “think pieces” in the liberal media explaining why, even though Trump was right and they were wrong, really, Trump was wrong.

YOUR TUITION DOLLARS AT WORK

The president of Florida State University’s Student Senate was impeached and removed, amid accusations that he is racist, transphobic and anti-abortion because he’s Catholic. He was replaced with a Palestinian student who has a history of making anti-Semitic statements about Jews and Israel.

BACKLASH

Facing a backlash, Harvard Law Professor Lawrence Tribe apologized for saying that Joe Biden should pick a running mate based on the person’s accomplishments, rather than just focusing on picking a black woman.

I have to agree with Tribe’s critics. Why should Joe’s running mate have to have impressive accomplishments when the white man on top of the ticket hasn’t been held to that same standard?

Has anyone figured out what race "Kung Fu" is? I didn't know the name of a martial art discipline could be a race. Does that mean Judo, Kickboxing, Karate, Aikido, Taekwondo, Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Wrestling are all off limits because using those names "in vain" will be considered "racist" by someone (a stupid leftist looking for a thrill) ... what's next?

You are on a roll today Governor. I laughed at everything after Horowitz's advice. The writers for today's leftist sitcoms on television must be envious of all the idiots you mentioned today. It is ironic that late night television "comedy hosts" have become "political experts" and elected politicians are providing us with more comedy than we can digest. There is a lot of material for a good book of comedy in today's liberal (Democrat) political world.

I bet if they blocked cell and internet reception in CHOP, the snowflakes would all start melting away and CHOP could be reclaimed with no confrontation. Just a thought.

Good article by Horowitz, and I fully concur. Governor, recently I saw a movie-documentary, Unfair: Exposing the IRS (2014) in which you played a significant role in highlighting improprieties, actually illegalities, by the IRS towards Conservatives and patriotic groups. What ever happened the to FAIR tax? Why were you the only 2016 candidate to support it? It seem the logic approach to more fair taxes and especially it would eliminate the IRS. Have you recently spoken with President Trump about this? Considering the anarchy that's surging in this country, eliminating the IRS would also eliminate a tool used by the Left to further deprive our liberties and conditioning our way of life by Gestapo-like government institutions. Along the same lines, what ever happened to the various departments that the president promised to eliminate or reduce? I'm talking about the department of Education, EPA, Health & Human Services, and many other bureaucratic arms of the administrative state and worse of all, the Deep State? I would, and I'm sure many of your supporters, would appreciate an article that provides updates on these topics. Also, you should suggest these topics, along with the immigration reform, the rule of law, respect of first responders, and for the Constitution to be addressed by Conservatives in these last 4 months before the elections. I appreciate what you do and enjoy your daily newsletter. Keep up with the faith.

    Dear Governor,

I was comfortable talking to my black friends and co- volunteers of color. Now I am afraid I am going to be self conscious, afraid that I might inadvertently say something that might be somehow offensive. The libs certainly are expert in dividing people. But this what they want. When in China, I ask out tour leader why Mao is so honored by the people when he was responsible for the deaths of millions. She said “we say 30% bad a d 70% good. You must understand the under the warlords, the average life span was 38.” So you can honor historical figures for their contributions, while still condemning their cruel practices.

Men like the early presidents that were slave holders, had to answer for that when the died. But many also did great things for their country. People are not two dimensional. We now view slavery as totally wrong, as well it should be, but in times past some people did not view It as such. Even in the Bible people made slaves of captured enemies. I am not arguing that it was ever right, just that it existed, and these people grew up beLieving in a certain way of life. There are many things that went on in earlier times that were not right. Right now, libs are forcing victimization on people of color in order to maintain power over their lives. In many ways that is a type of slavery.
I would suggest that there is another way to look at it. Perhaps the decedents of slaves could learn to be proud of their ancestors who survived and built families under terrible condition. They were not allowed to be legally married in places but still ceremonially committed to each other and formed families. I liveD in the Deep South just prior to integration. The black families worked so very hard and most married and had two parent homes. They were also great prayer warriors and regulars at church. They wanted better for their children and were often successful. African Americans should be proud of these ancestors who overcame such terrible odds so their decedents could could enjoy a better life. Another question should be ask, would I be better of living in these African countries that I am in America? Sometimes good things come to us as a result of bad things.

You have better sources than I so I am asking you to investigate and determine fact from fiction.

    We have gone bonkers over two black men being killed by police. There was swift action to punish the police without ever doing a complete investigation. What was in video involving George Floyd was appalling. We know what Rashad Brooks did to start the confrontation but what did Floyd George do? There is an article that claims that George was in the state of "excited delirium" brought on by a Meth overdose. If so, that really changed the picture but doesn't excuse his death. Here is the article;

For those who wonder why Pres Trump doesn't send in troops when he has expressed he is ready and willing and will act fast well, there is a law that forbids troops being sent into any state without the Governors request. So antsy Democrats get on to the Governors.

Where does immunity for the Mayors of cities end. The order to police to stand down while law and order is abandoned. Who or what has checks and balance to control the disregard of law and order. As an outsider looking at the bizarre lack of law enforcement is law defying to say the least. Some one or some body has to be able to remove the mayors that won't obey or enforce the laws. Feeling sad doesn't stop the violence dead people do not feel sad burnt buildings do not feel sad I do feel sad the MSM The department of Education in these Democratic zones have let the brains of the young people turn to mush only solutions to their problems they have is violence that is the Left's agenda forget teaching the people to read to do math, science, or civics, history, turn them loose blind of intellect fill them with mood altering substance imported from China give them fire and weapons see for yourself the Left's work of art.

Sounds like an attractive possibility but candidly I am not "up" on all the technicalities and legalities of the proposal! One thing for sure the "enemy" and virtually all of the so-called media are in unison to destroy our Republic. We are down to the wire - only one view can win. Even the SC is adrift. Michas

Good story for today and tomorrow.
I was at a men's meeting at a Baptist Church in NJ many years ago with my Pastor.
During praise and worship, right in front of me was a man with a horrible tattoo on the back of each hand and when he lifted his hands to the Lord those tattoos were almost right in my face. I was a fairly new Christian and hyper critical thoughts and imaginations raced through my mind about the tattoos and the person bearing those ugly things.
Later I got to meet that man, he saw me gazing at the tattoos and explained. He said; I once was in a gang and that was our tattoo. Jesus saved me from gangs and many other things as well. I thought I should have then removed but God moved on my heart to keep them. Every time I lift up my hands to the Lord they remind me of who I once was, and the scars on the hands of him who saved me and what he did for me. So long as the tattoos are there, I'll never forget.
And you know something? I too never forgot and that meeting that was in 1989.
The same may be said of statues.

    Hi Mike,
    RE: Moonbeam Crazy

You can rest assured that had the Portland Autonomous Zone been constructed anywhere else in Portland, Mayor Ted Wheeler would have been there for the opening christening.

As it happens, the Antifa / BLM / EIEIO crowd set up in front of Ole Teddy's upscale apartment building and he didn't like that much. Democrats are very accommodating when it's not their money they're spending and they're not being inconvenienced.

So when a Democrat Mayor (or any other Democrat political leader) says he/she/them/they/it/zygote/potrezibi can't do something, like prevent or tear down an Autonomous Zone, it means they don't want to do it. Apparently His honor Theodore is a strong believer in NIMN. Not In My Neighborhood.

Make all those who claim Trump is not "fit" to be president define just what "fitness" they require. The constitution requires only " that he or she be a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, have attained the age of thirty-five years, and has been fourteen years a resident within the United States." One more... he has to be elected, unlike those losers who have decided he is "not fit to be president."

For those who fear our history will get purged by these fascists --

Remember in their " revolutions " the French, Nazis, Communists and Maoists tried the same thing.
Well today the histories of France, Germany, Russia and China are still quite intact and the people basically unchanged... and their revolutions were bloody not ill trained pipsqueaks...we'll be great.
