Before getting into John Solomon’s latest revelation of what the FBI was doing in the fall of 2016 –- yes, it’s even worse –- it might be good to preface that with the finding in a new poll by THE HILL that a majority of Americans support investigating the FBI’s conduct at the start of the “Russia” investigation. They're finally catching a whiff of the rat we’ve been smelling for close to three years now --- in fact, for many of us, the smell of this rat is enough to knock us over. It’s only the most partisan Democrats who are still wearing giant nose clips.

And another preface: there is a clear contradiction between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former FBI Director James Comey concerning his claim that she told him to call the Hilary email investigation a “matter.” (I’d say that from the way they conducted their “investigation,” it really WAS more like a matter, in that they didn’t seriously investigate Hillary at all.) We know about this because of more closed-door congressional testimony released by Rep. Doug Collins of Georgia. According to the Washington Examiner, she also answered “Never” when asked by Jerry Nadler if Obama ever demanded or requested that the FBI or DOJ infiltrate or surveil the Trump campaign for political purposes.

Kings County blacklists ICE related companies

By Mike Huckabee

If Congressional Democrats are concerned about real obstruction of justice, how about backing ICE against “sanctuary” area officials who refuse to cooperate with federal immigration laws?  A good place to start would be King County, Washington, which just pushed its insurrection to a new level by blacklisting from county contracts private companies that do business with ICE.

The county blacklist was started as retaliation against Seattle-based air charter companies that ICE uses to fly out criminal illegal aliens who are being deported.  In response, ICE released a list of some of the deportees they’ve flown out of the county that local officials are so angry about losing that they’re threatening local charter airlines over it.  The list includes “a Mexican citizen wanted for human trafficking, a Honduran man accused of rape and murder and a Guatemalan man charged with torture and murder.”

https://www.foxnews.com/us/ice-fights-back-after-county-in-washington-state-blocks-deportations

I keep wondering how much danger to themselves and their families that residents of “sanctuary” locations are going to tolerate from the very people who are responsible for keeping them safe, and when they’re finally going to come to their senses and deport them from their offices.

Progressive government

By Mike Huckabee

Hey, America!  Let’s elect “progressives” to run the federal government, and they can do for the whole country what they’ve done to places they already run!  Like New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles, where the latest L.A. news includes such phrases as “typhus-infected fleas,” “sky-high...rat-infested piles of rotting garbage,” “concerns of a new epidemic” and “salmonella and bubonic plague.”

https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/la-didnt-learn-lesson-record-2018-outbreak-faces-another-dark-ages-plague/

Unusually, every “idea” that comes from “progressives” is some really horrible curse from the last century that we thought intelligent people had eradicated: socialism, measles, racial segregation, whooping cough, etc.  But I have to hand it to them: by bringing back the bubonic plague, they’ve managed to “progress” all the way back to the 14th century.  Personally, I think we’ve had about all of their kind of “progress” we can stand.

If you haven’t read enough about the equally revolting subjects of rats and incompetent government leaders while trying to eat breakfast, here’s an interesting history lesson on a few big government schemes that failed miserably, but the people behind them just failed upward.  You’ll see there is a connection between rats and Michelle Obama’s school lunch reforms, and it’s not that the rats ended up eating all the school lunches the students threw away.

Conservatives need to challenge this movement

By Mike Huckabee

The Nevada Senate passed a bill to give the state’s Electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote, and if the Democratic Governor signs it, Nevada will join 14 other states and DC that have passed similar bills.

https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/444943-nevada-senate-passes-bill-that-would-give-electoral-college-votes-to

I hope that some conservative organization will soon launch a preemptive challenge to get these bills overturned, since they’re an obvious attempt to circumvent the Constitution, and they violate the very foundation of our republic by allowing legislators to illegally take away the votes of their own citizens and give them to voters in other states (for instance, even if Nevada voters went 99% Republican, their votes would go to the Democrat if they were outnumbered by voters in New York and California.  That takes away their voice in choosing their own leaders.)

On the other hand, imagine if all these leftists who are whining about the Electoral College because it’s one more thing to blame for Hillary’s loss instead of Hillary had to give their Electoral votes to Trump if he wins the national popular vote in 2020.  I don’t want that to happen because this shouldn’t happen at all, no matter which side it benefits.  But it would be hilarious to watch liberals do a 180 and suddenly start crying about how great the Electoral College is and how they were robbed because their Electoral votes were “stolen” by Trump just because he won the meaningless national popular vote.

Kamala goes to war

By Mike Huckabee

Before Kamala Harris goes to war against every corporation in America to force equal pay for men and women, she might want to start with her own Senate office and presidential campaign staffs, where the men are paid more than the women.

https://ijr.com/report-shows-men-are-paid-more-than-women-in-kamala-harris-office/

But I’m sure it’s only because the men have more seniority or experience or work longer hours or some other extenuating conditions that couldn’t possibly exist at any other organization in America.

Pardon politics

By Mike Huckabee

What President Trump’s critics keep forgetting as they hurl one nasty accusation after another at him is that his supporters were aware he wasn’t a perfect angel, but they also knew that everything he was accused of, you could apply to the Clintons times ten.  I’m sure there were a number of Trump voters who thought they were picking the lesser of two evils (the Democrats made that choice easy), but have since been pleasantly surprised.

Unfortunately for Hillary, she still hasn’t learned that every time she throws some bitter barb at Trump, it’s easy to pull up a similar, much worse accusation that applies to her and/or Bill.  Latest example: she just couldn’t stop herself from tweeting disdainfully about Trump’s “grotesque” pardons of several US military members accused of war crimes while deployed in the Middle East.  All that did was open the door for some devastating reminders of how she tragically failed in her duty to keep our people safe in the Middle East.

https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/hillary-slams-grotesque-trump-pardons-benghazi-hero-quickly-steps-humiliating-reminder/

As a kindness to Hillary before she hurls any more criticism at Trump’s pardons, I’ll remind her of what’s waiting in the wings that will be hurled back at her.

In fairness, there are people who don’t have tarnished reputations who agree that Trump should not pardon a Navy SEAL accused of war crimes before there’s a trial.  One of them is Texas Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw, himself a former SEAL who was gravely wounded in an IED explosion.  His comments at the link:

Warren announces...

By Mike Huckabee

Here's the perfect follow-up to the story about the billionaire commencement speaker who announced that he was paying off the student loans of the entire Morehouse College graduating class.  This shows how that story might have gone if it followed one of the Three Great Lies, as noted by Ronald Reagan: “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help you.”

Note to Snopes.com: This is a Babylon Bee story, which means it’s satire.  Humor.  Not meant to be taken seriously.  In other words, you don’t need to fact-check it.

Tweet of the Day

By Mike Huckabee

Tweet of the Day!  Texas passed a bill inspired by the attacks on Chick-fil-A, reaffirming the First Amendment by barring government from taking “any adverse action” against any contractor, individual or business because of their religious beliefs.  Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted out a photo to drop a hint about whether he plans to sign it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, sir, but since the election of a President is a national matter, not a state matter, is not the only way that the law can be changed is by (national) constitutional amendment? Which means 34 states would have to approve it before even one can try to enforce it. Then again, maybe the law means nothing to the spoiled sports who are still stuck in the loss of the election of 2016.
