Tuesday in Beirut, in a story like something out of a James Bond movie, pagers used by members of the terrorist group Hezbollah to coordinate their attacks suddenly exploded. Hundreds of Hezbollah members were left seriously injured, and surveillance cameras captured some of the pagers in their pockets and bags blowing up. If they survive, they'll be sopranos from now on.
The New York Post claims that the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad allegedly intercepted the shipment of pagers to Hezbollah and planted explosives in them that would detonate when a signal caused the batteries to overheat.
The group had taken to using pagers because Israel has infiltrated their other communications devices, like cell phones. Now, they can’t rely on pagers without worrying that they might blow up in their pockets, which should disrupt their activities even more.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib condemned the operation as “disgusting,” due to reports that nearby civilians, including children, were injured or killed. Of course, we don’t know if those reports are true, considering they come from pro-Hezbollah sources. If so, they are tragic. But Hezbollah has never shown the slightest concern about killing civilians or children, and Tlaib never speaks a word against them, even after a Hezbollah rocket attack killed 12 children in an Israeli-occupied town in the Golan Heights.

There are some great comments on her highly selective outrage at that link. But as usual, the Babylon Bee summed it up best:

Incidentally, the weaponizing of devices has raised concerns that China could do that to attack America from within, for instance, by turning Chinese-made electric cars into “rolling surveillance devices.” Or how about exploding incendiary devices, even more so than regular EVs?
