We owe a lot to Judicial Watch.  Remember, without them, Hillary’s sneaky private email server likely would never have come to light.  And in these waning days (we hope) of the Mueller investigation, as witnesses start to fight back, lawyers associated with the watchdog group Judicial Watch continue to have their hands full.  Founder Larry Klayman is representing conservative writer Jerome Corsi in his criminal and ethics complaint against Robert Mueller, while president Tom Fitton has been analyzing the case against Trump based on Mueller’s charges against sleazy ex-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen.

Judicial Watch also is suing the Justice Department for records of all meetings in 2016 between law firm Perkins Coie and former FBI general counsel James Baker, after the DOJ failed to respond to their Freedom of Information Act request last month.  Recall that Perkins Coie, representing Hillary and the DNC, paid oppo research firm Fusion GPS, who paid British ex-spy Christopher Steele, who presumably paid...Russian informants, who made up sleazy stories.  THERE’S your Russian collusion, right there.  And Judicial Watch would like to know what the top lawyer for the FBI was doing meeting with the lawyers for Hillary and the DNC.  Baker testified under oath, Fitton says, that they had a meeting “about Russia.”

Antifa is violent and nothing else

By Mike Huckabee

For those in the media who refuse to take off their partisan blinders and see just how fascist the “anti-fascist” group Antifa is, read this and tell me how you would like to be the journalist in this situation.  It puts into perspective all the whining about Jim Acosta being so mistreated because he got gently ejected from a press conference for acting like a jerk.

Watch as Antifa thugs in Seattle badger, push, taunt and scream through a bullhorn at a journalist who is doing nothing but recording a protest/counterprotest.  See one of their leaders ask if he’s willing to die to post his reports on YouTube and threaten that “death is coming for you.” And watch as the police order the journalist to leave because his presence was “inciting conflict.”  Yeah, the journalist standing there quietly observing was obviously the one who was inciting violence.

Question: if these Antifa terrorists were pro-Trump instead of anti-Trump, how long do you think the media would continue to turn a blind eye to their threats and violence, especially against the media?

Interesting story

By Mike Huckabee

Interesting article about how two writers who hated each other on Twitter met in person and became friends.  I hope it inspires others to realize how social media, which encourages outrageous anonymous comments and one-dimensional “good vs. evil” thinking, breeds divisiveness, anger and insularity.

Then again, this is from the New York Times, so it’s about healing the deep divide between a far-leftist and a centrist.  While the article encourages people to look beyond politics, it naturally stops short of suggesting that you actually try to talk to Trump voters/Republicans as if they were actual human beings or make an attempt to understand why they hold the views that they do.  The article, and even more so the comments from Times readers, reflect an unthinking dismissal of those sorts of people as racists and violent nuts who condone “ripping children from their mothers’ bosoms and putting them into cages,” so you simply can’t talk to them!  I can also tell from this that they’ve never tried to talk to them.

Ironically, it’s this very sort of warped impression of 63 million of their fellow Americans that was largely created and continues to be fed by social media.  I keep trying to counteract it by inviting liberals onto my TBN TV show, where I promise they will be given warm hospitality backstage and a chance to say their piece onstage.  I’ll let you know if I ever get any takers.

Chris Pratt speaks

By Mike Huckabee

It’s always refreshing when I can run a story about a Hollywood actor saying something that doesn’t sound like it came from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Twitter feed.  Once again, Chris Pratt proves that when you’re handsome, funny and popular enough, and you have strong Christian faith in your heart, you can say things that other celebrities are too terrified of the PC Police to say.

French riots

By Mike Huckabee

This link has some video of the damage from the worst rioting in Paris in decades:

If you listen to some media reports, you’d think that the French were burning down Paris because they’re ticked off over a little gas tax.  In fact, that’s what experts are calling “the straw that broke the camel’s back.”  Gas is already $6.25 a gallon in Paris, and even that’s not high enough for the elites because the working people are still finding ways to get to work.  That tax, designed to fight climate change, is just the latest in a long series of arrogant dictates loaded onto the people by out-of-touch politicians, cheered on by wealthy leftist celebrities.

French President Emmanuel Macron is trying to blame the riots on right-wing agitators, but the participants seem to be a mix of right- and left-wing extremists, professional troublemakers, and people who are just fed up with being abused by their leaders.  Word is that Macron is planning a stronger police crackdown, but considering reports that police just stood by and let the rioters riot, that might not be very effective.  Worse, it might be like clamping down more tightly on a powder keg that’s ready to blow after years of high-handed policies from smug elitists who sit around thinking up ways to force everyday people to “save the planet” by making it harder for them to go to work, feed their families and pay their rent, while they live in mansions and take limos and private jets to environmental conferences.

European leaders think that Americans are crazy because when they got fed up with out-of-touch elitists making their lives worse, they turned out in an orderly fashion and voted Donald Trump into office. They should remember that when the French people get fed up with pompous elitists saying “Let them eat carbon credits,” they have a history of making heads roll, literally.

"The Pence Effect"

By Mike Huckabee

When the MeToo movement began, it represented a long-needed correction of abusive behavior toward women by men who misused their power at work to exploit and even assault female employees.  But as often happens, once zealots tasted blood, they usurped it, politicized it, and took it too far, branding innocent words and gestures as sexual assaults, making unprovable charges dating back decades, and insisting that all accusations must be believed, that due process rights are obsolete, and all men are guilty and should just “shut up” when accused.

Now, an inevitable backlash has resulted, and it’s harming women’s careers.  It even has an ironic name: “The Pence Effect.”  Remember when liberals mocked Vice President Mike Pence as a prude for refusing to have dinner or be alone in a room with any woman other than his wife?  Well, it turns out “prude” was just short for “prudent.”

Male executives in industries nationwide are so spooked at the thought of having their lives and careers destroyed by an unsubstantiated spiteful allegation that they’re adopting the Pence policy and taking it even further. To minimize risk to their careers, they are no longer taking one-on-one meetings with female colleagues, having dinner with women, sitting next to them on planes, staying on the same floor with them in hotels, agreeing to mentor them – in other words, all the things that help women (and men) learn, network and get ahead in business.

This article says women are grasping for ideas on how to deal with it. One idea I’d strongly suggest they reject is filing sexual discrimination lawsuits.  If someone is too afraid to work with you because of fear of a sexual harassment lawsuit, threatening to sue them if they don’t is not going to allay their fears.  This article concludes by claiming the solution is for men to “just not be a (BLEEP),” but that’s being deliberately obtuse.  What the Kavanaugh hearings showed the world was that it didn’t matter how much of a Boy Scout you were, you could still be destroyed by unsubstantiated charges from 30 years ago that are impossible to prove or disprove.

The best thing women could do to fight the paranoia that’s harming their own careers would be to speak up against the corrosive ideas that only one gender is capable of lying, that all men are guilty until proven innocent, or that any accusation should be an automatic career death sentence.  Until there is a very public backlash against that mentality from women, male executives will likely keep on believing that whatever they do to protect themselves isn’t paranoia, it’s just prudence.
