Let’s take a little break from all the coverage of Mueller’s “Russia” investigation –- the mission of which seems to be setting President Trump on the road to prosecution or impeachment by putting his former campaign manager on trial for old loan fraud and tax charges –- and have a look at a very real example of high-level Russian spying on Americans.  This stunning new story from The Guardian reflects the kind of infiltration we SHOULD be investigating:  Russian spying that resulted in access to some of our most highly classified information, even the President’s daily schedule.  While the Mueller team is wasting time showing jurors pictures of Manafort’s expensive suits and threatening him with life in prison to get him to offer up his former boss on a platter, a story is emerging of very real Russian “meddling.”

But since it’s a huge embarrassment to the intelligence community and perhaps even an unwelcome distraction from the “get-Trump” narrative, having nothing whatsoever to do with Trump, we probably won’t be hearing much about it.

It’s the British press that uncovered this.  Investigative reporter Nick Hopkins has learned that that for more than a decade, a Russian national was working undetected as an alleged spy at the American embassy in Moscow.  She was hired by the Secret Service –- we still don’t have the details surrounding her hiring or how (if?) she was vetted –- and she didn’t come under suspicion until 2016, when the State Department’s Regional Security Office conducted a routine security sweep of the London, Paris and Moscow offices.  They made their report in January of 2017, but instead of launching an inquiry, which might have ended up making them look bad, the Secret Service just revoked her security clearance last summer and quietly let her go.

Her dismissal attracted essentially no attention at the time because it conveniently occurred when the Kremlin was demanding an expulsion of diplomatic personnel in the wake of new Washington-imposed sanctions.  Over 750 out of 1,200 employees lost their positions, and the downsizing was used as cover to make it it look as though she was just part of it.

According to the Guardian’s source, “The Secret Service is trying to hide the breach by firing [her].  The damage was already done but the senior management of the Secret Service did not conduct any internal investigation to assess the damage and to see if [she] recruited any other employees to provide her with more information.  Only an intense investigation by an outside source can determine the damage she has done.”

So, there may be more spying going on at our embassy in Moscow.  Oh, goody.

When the Secret Service was pressed for details, they released a statement downplaying the role this woman played.  “At no time,” it said, “in any US Secret Service office, have FSNs [foreign service nationals] been provided or placed in a position to obtain national security information.”

Right, and Peter Strzok voted for Donald Trump.  The State Department refused to comment on allegations related to intelligence or personnel matters, but acknowledged “that US government employees, by virtue of their employment with the US government, may be targeted by foreign intelligence services...when we identify an employee in violation of security directives, we take appropriate action at the appropriate time.”  In other words, this woman WAS in a position to gain information from Americans working at the embassy.  To admit that fact completely negates the lame attempt at reassurance offered by the Secret Service.

According to the source, this woman had a role that gave her insight into ongoing Secret Service investigations, and her position gave her access to the Secret Service intranet.  Through this official email system, she had access to the schedule of the Presidents (current and former), the Vice Presidents, and their spouses, including Hillary Clinton.  I would add that it probably included all immediate family members and anyone else who was receiving Secret Service protection.  (Hey, I've got a family member who has to have that!)

The woman went against the rules by interacting with several embassy employees on her personal email.  There’s no telling what information she was able to glean from conversations with Americans.  She apparently operated with very little supervision and was having “numerous unsanctioned meetings and communications” with the FSB, Russia’s principal security agency, and that’s what aroused suspicion.

To top it off, once the Secret Service was on to her, the potential breach was not reported to any of the congressional oversight committees.  There needs to be a serious look at why the Secret Service hid what happened and failed to conduct an internal investigation.  Of course, the special counsel charged with investigating “Russian meddling” could look into it; they have all the security clearances and their mission, after all, is to investigate what the Russians are up to.  But Mueller is much too busy right now going after Donald Trum---I mean, Russian Facebook ads, as well as former campaign managers with pricey ostrich jackets.

I could have spent this time writing about the past couple of days at the Paul Manafort show trial.  That information will be everywhere; FOX News has been doing some excellent reporting on it and will keep you up to date.  (The important thing is that Judge Ellis knows exactly what is going on in his courtroom.)  But for now, it seems more important to put his trial in perspective by talking about a REAL story about a REAL intelligence breach involving a REAL Russian spy –- and the attempt to keep anyone from finding out about it.

Hillary Clinton selling 20 % of our Uranium to a Russian firm & the Clinton Foundation in the deal, Hillary should be in shackles and an orange jump suit standing in front of a Federal Judge.

Has this been discussed or revealed on Fox? I watch the station alot, and haven't heard this. Maybe someone from the Guardian needs to go on their network and discuss/reveal this. It does not surprise me that it was hidden from the public, though. Nothing surprises me anymore in this game of, "Let's nail Trump."

    Dear Mike,
I would love to see this info given to President Trump, Jim Jordan, etc. Since you were able to find this info, as a citizen I don't know if they have been informed. Thank you for all that you do!!! I don't put any stock in a lot of info on the internet re: a rumor that's circulating about your daughter, Sarah. I'm truly hoping and praying that it is only a rumor. It's being said that Sarah is leaving her job as press secretary. Since she now needs Secret Service to protect her and her family because the left-wing liberals and Democrats have totally lost their minds!! I only know that she's doing an amazing job and I admire her and I have so much respect for her. God bless you and your family. Thank you!
    Sincerely,
    Kelly

They want Russia to take over this country, Governor. But I don't think they realize just how far the Russians will go. This is a game to the government types, be it Clintons or who else but the Russians will play for keeps. Our government, obviously this does not include Trump and his team or the people who side with him, are hoping the American people are too mentally vacant to say anything about it. In the past I wanted to learn cerilic, but not have it forced on me. Keep going Governor, you and your daughter are doing a fantastic job. God bless you all.

It's time to terminate this travesty of an investigation. Put Rosenstein, the architect of this farce, on the unemployment line. Sessions seems out to a long liquid lunch. Let him stay there and install judge Pirro and let her do a lot of housecleaning. Let the miscreants become the new denizens of the newly built annex in Gitmo. Restore govt. to the people and the executive branch to the pres. The Democrats will carp vociferously but then they'll do it anyway.

Huck; It seems that we have agents in our government with high security clearances that do not care if high level information gets to foreign powers. Remember back in the 50's when Kurchev said the Soviet Union would destroy the US from within, seems to be happening before our very eye. The Progressive Libturds are not even bothering to lie about their anti-American platform anymore!

Our legal system, unfortunately inundated with so many unethical lawyers who seek convictions and glorification regardless of the evidence. Results: Enriched lawyers, families destroyed, and making a farce of our Constitutional requirement of "Equal Justice Under the Law". The absurd Mueller probe is a prime example!

And all this was going on while Obama and Hil-lier were if office? No investigations? Is Muller going to investigate Obama and Hill-lier also? I bet NOT.

Really getting discouraged over the fact that Jeff Sessions has done absolutely NOTHING to help President Trump and Trump seems to be content with that. As I understand it the president can replace the US AG at any time, so why doesn't President Trump simply replace Jeff Sessions ? What is he waiting for ? Jeff Sessions could end all this mess with Mueller in an instant by simply telling Rosenstein to cancel the rest of the investigation, but seems reluctant to do so. Is he really a RINO ? Have you ever approached him about this issue ?

Isn't this what you call a CORRUPT GOVERNMENT???? Then you have Little Old Curly Locks down in FL that hired those Muslims for her office. and then they wonder why we don't trust any of them anymore. How can you trust the CIA, FBI and the Secret Service after what is coming out about them?

You mentioned in your email that unemployment is down to 3.9 percent. I don't think it takes much to know who is included in that percentage. It's all those who are out protesting, blocking free access, and causing any kind of trouble they can. They would rather do this than go get a job. We are seeing what happens when righteousness exposes darkness. "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people" (Proverbs 14:34).

You said my favorite line of the entire republican debate by calling Pres Trump Mr T that calls everybody fools loved it. I knew Trump would win from his announcement to seek the office . The only time I got worried was election night. So I prayed and went to bed early. The next morning at work I was the most hated person alive, except for Trump of course. The tears were flowing and then the proud mothers let their daughters go to the women's March. Data is a courageous woman and I'd be proud to have her serve as POTUS one day. Still to this day whenever I hear the name Trump I blurt out God bless Donald trump. Signed a proud pain in the liberal butt from Louisiana. I'd like to be on your show too. Until then I'll take the threats from Facebook Trump haters

President Trump needs only one sentence: "I want a full and complete investigtion, including who she may have compromised within that office, and everyone up the chain of command who had knowledge of this and failed to act - including the State Department."

Time to clear out more swamp.

Pretty clear that many people in D.C. shared former President Obama's (and Hilary Clinton's) belief that with the Cold War over (and some even seemed to question that there even WAS a Cold War) Russia posed zero threat. Suddenly, once Hillary lost in 2016 everyone ignored Obama's various statements from there was no way anyone could ever seriously meddle in our elections to anyone concerned about election meddling should get a grip, were entirely ignored. When it came out that the Obama administration knew about it but the ONLY action they did take was to set up an investigation into the Trump campaign, using our foreign spy apparatus against American citizens, predicated upon an unverified document from a British spy who hated Trump (likely there were others in British government and EU who also feared his election and the dismantling of the Paris climate accord, the Iran Nuclear deal, less Euro friendly deals and a more American centric direction) as well as all sorts of other foreign actors (Australuan Ambassador, for example) and foreign governments (notably Russia) and entities. Ignored in all if this was the very strange and dangerous deal between Hillary Clinton/ State Department and the Obama administration giving away 20% of our uranium; Clinton and the DNC hiring Fusion and Steele to get dirt on Trump and his organization then turning that over to the FBI and others with a pretty clear anti-Trump bias; the underhanded, secretive way the FISA Courts were used; the cabal of people who were already connected to many earlier events that should be under investigation - people like Peter Struk, Mueller, Rosenstein, Comey and others who should not have been allowed to investigate things they took part in!

There is so much to be concerned about here. Everyone, Trump supporter or not, must get out and vote Republican because the Democrats and alo these dirty dealers will bury the evidence so deep we will NEVER know all that occurred and no justice will ever be done. I still can't believe all of this - you could never make up such an extreme, dirty and convoluted plot!
