California is getting a hard lesson in the Constitution’s supremacy clause, which states that when state laws and state constitutions conflict with the federal laws and Constitution, federal law prevails. So despite California’s leftist leaders declaring it a “sanctuary state” and refusing to cooperate with federal immigration authorities to deport criminal illegal immigrants, the feds are rounding them up anyway.

Over the past week, ICE launched a sweep of Los Angeles that targeted 122 businesses and arrested 212 illegals. It follows similar raids up north, in San Jose and San Francisco. In all, over 500 people have been arrested, without any help from local authorities. ICE released a statement that 90% of the arrestees have prior criminal convictions, to make it clear that they are targeting known criminals who were being shielded and allowed to walk around free by state and local governments.

"Huckabee" preview

By Mike Huckabee

The weekend is here, and not a moment too soon, since we could all use a break. I hope you’ll join me tonight at 8 EST, 7 CST, or set your DVRs, for “Huckabee” on TBN. I have another brand new show, packed with entertaining and enlightening guests. I’ll pay tribute to the late Rev. Billy Graham; discuss the push for gun laws and all these state lawsuits against Washington with the Attorneys General of Texas and Arkansas; and talk Black History Month with the Rev. Martin Luther King’s niece, Dr. Alveda King. But it’s not all serious business: I also have hilarious stand-up comic Mark Christopher Lawrence; the fantastic country/bluegrass/gospel music of The Issacs; some surprise celebrity guests and more! To see previous shows and to find out where you can see “Huckabee” on TBN in your local area, visit https://www.tbn.org/huckabee

These sheriff's deputies are covered in shame

By Mike Huckabee

Ever since we first heard about the tragic mass shooting at a South Florida school, seemingly each new day has brought sickening new revelations of all the many ways in which it could have been prevented, but authorities failed to act. There were explicit warnings to the FBI, multiple calls to the sheriff’s department, multiple deputy visits to the shooter’s home, multiple state family agency visits, creepy and threatening social media posts – and all went unheeded. Then came what I assumed had the be absolute lowest mark of failure: the news that a deputy was on the scene, armed and in uniform, and just waited outside the school for five minutes, listening to the gunfire inside as the shooter mowed down unarmed teachers and children.

But just when I thought it couldn’t possibly get any lower than that, the pit of shame got dug deeper with news that there were three other Broward County sheriff’s deputies on the scene – waiting outside with guns drawn, taking shelter behind their cars. When local police showed up and finally dealt with the killer, they were reportedly “stunned and upset” to discover four armed deputies all waiting outside as the slaughter raged on inside. I would substitute more appropriate words than “stunned and upset,” but I try not to use words like that.

This is CNN

Hosting a townhall in which the host says nothing as the NRA is described as “child murderers,” then denying that happened, even though it’s on video?

This is CNN!

This is CNN Part II

By Mike Huckabee

A 76-year-old Florida woman is getting threats from leftists after a certain TV news channel went all the way to her home to badger her for unwittingly posting a promotion of a pro-Trump political event secretly organized by Russian trolls on her Facebook page. Kicker: the same channel that thought this harassment of an elderly private citizen was “news” also gave extensive positive coverage to an anti-Trump event organized by the same Russian trolls.

Again, (say it with me): This is CNN!

Today's Huck's Hero

By Mike Huckabee

Today’s Huck’s Hero is of the four-legged variety: In Seattle, a German shepherd named Rex suffered a severe beating and took three bullets as he valiantly fought to protect his teenage master from two burglars who broke into their family’s house. He gave the teen time to call 911, and the burglars fled the police.

Rex required major and expensive surgery, but he is expected to pull through. I’m obviously not the only one who thinks he’s a hero: a GoFundMe page set up by the family to pay his $10,000 vet bill quickly racked up over $54,000 in pledges (as of this writing). People obviously admire this heroic dog that was willing to lay down his life to protect his teenage charge. When he’s well, maybe he could take a trip to Florida to teach a lesson in courage to the Broward County Sheriff’s Department.
