THE EVENING EDITION By Mike Huckabee

Good evening! Here are some stories from me that I think you will want to read.

DAILY BIBLE VERSE

This verse was recommended by Lynne N.

I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Psalm 16:8 KJV

THE LATEST NEWS

1. Elon Musk destroys Elizabeth Warren:

Sen. Elizabeth Warren – fake “Native American” and full-time government check-casher – decided to attack Elon Musk for allegedly being a “freeloader” who doesn’t pay enough taxes. She chose…unwisely. His response was beyond epic. Maybe “apocalyptic” would be a better term.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/senator-karen-elon-musk-just-destroyed-elizabeth-warren

Read it all, but if you don’t have time, and just to make sure you don’t miss my favorite line:

“If you opened your eyes for 2 seconds, you would realize I will pay more taxes than any American in history this year. Don’t spend it all at once … oh wait you did already.”

2. Quote of the Day:

Blogger Stacy McCain on CNN’s firing of producer John Griffin over his alleged vile sexual grooming of underage girls:

“Between this creep and the notorious w****r Jeffrey Toobin, you’ve got to wonder, does CNN ever hire anyone who’s not a pervert?”

https://theothermccain.com/2021/12/11/but-they-told-me-this-elite-pedophile-stuff-was-a-conspiracy-theory/

Honestly, though, that’s not fair. I’m sure many people there aren’t perverts. They just cover up for them.

3. Toys for needy children:

It’s almost time for the Salvation Army to begin distributing toys to needy children for Christmas, and the organization reports that there is a severe shortage of toys and donations.

https://www.nj.com/news/2021/12/salvation-army-faces-enormous-toy-shortage-this-year.html

This year has been a perfect storm of problems for charities, with the continuing COVID problems and dumb vaccine and lockdown policies holding down the economy, supply chain issues and thieves denuding store shelves, and inflation eating up Americans’ disposable income. Not to mention bad publicity for groups like the Salvation Army and Goodwill due to stories of their leadership imposing divisive and racist CRT/’diversity” policies.

I don’t think that’s really a major reason for the shortage, since most people don’t follow the news that closely. I can understand why that would make some people want to withhold donations, but I hope that doesn’t stop you from giving toys for children who have nothing to do with the adults’ dumb decisions. Sometimes, we need to put politics aside and think of the greater good. Please don’t punish the children for the sins of the corporate fathers.

You could also donate to the Marine Corps’ Toys For Tots program, which is scrambling to provide not only toys for children nationwide but to ensure that all the children whose families were devastated by the tornadoes receive something for Christmas. You can help them at https://toysfortots.org.

4. What "the science" really says:

I’ve often noted that whenever we make jokes about global warming conferences being canceled due to unexpected blizzards (it happens surprisingly often), environmental activists scream that we’re mistaking “weather” for “climate.” Yet every time there’s a negative weather event, they point to it as proof of climate change. The latest example is last weekend’s deadly Midwest tornados. President Biden and his FEMA director were just the highest-ranked of many liberals who tried to exploit that tragedy to score points for their climate change agenda.

But don’t they also always lecture us to “follow the science”? And I mean real science, not that guy in DC who thinks that “science” is whatever drops out of his piehole on any given day. I already wrote about actual climate scientists who say there is no clear link between climate change and an increase in numbers or strength of tornadoes. But a hat tip to Restate.com for pulling together all the charts, graphs and numbers to show even more forcefully that not only is there no clear link, but that many of the claims about the recent tornadoes are simply not true.

https://redstate.com/streiff/2021/12/14/there-is-no-evidence-linking-tornadoes-to-climate-change-but-that-doesnt-stop-the-ghoulish-fearmongering-n491305

A few examples: while spring is considered tornado season, there’s nothing unusual about strong tornadoes forming in December. The trend for more severe tornadoes is actually down, not up. The jump in recorded numbers of tornadoes starting in 1988 was likely due not to there being more tornadoes but to the introduction of Doppler radar to detect more of them. And the recent tornadoes were not significantly more powerful than usual. The one that decimated Mayfield, Kentucky, is now being classified as an EF-3. It’s just that with a growing population and more development, it’s more likely that a tornado will come down in a populated area, and that one happened to strike in the worst possible spot.

Note that none of this is an argument that the climate isn’t changing. But the people who insist that it’s the #1 issue in the world and they’re the only ones who can deal with it might be more convincing if they would stop talking as if they themselves didn’t know the difference between climate and weather. At least when I do it, I’m just joking, not making economy-killing international policies.

Reminder: Samaritan's Purse is on the scene to help tornado victims. They need all the donations and volunteers they can get. You can help at www.samaritanspurse.org.

5.  More bad news for the Cuomo brothers:

New York’s Joint Commission on Public Ethics voted to order former Gov. Andrew Cuomo to return the $5.1 million he made by writing a self-aggrandizing book about how brilliantly he handled the COVID-19 outbreak. They say he “lacked the legal authority to engage in outside activity and receive compensation in regard to the book.”

https://www.westernjournal.com/disgraced-andrew-cuomo-ordered-pay-5-1-million-book-profits-state/

I can’t imagine why anyone bought that book even before we learned of his cover-up of his deadly decision to force nursing homes to take in COVID patients. Maybe it’s because at the time it came out, we still had a toilet paper shortage. At least he can argue that the title, "American Crisis," was accurate, because he certainly helped create one of those.

Cuomo’s attorneys vowed to fight the order in court. Let’s hope they run up a $5.1 million legal bill, so that either way it goes, he loses.

In a couple of somewhat related stories: CNN fired the former senior producer of “New Day” who also once worked “shoulder-to-shoulder” with Chris Cuomo, after a Vermont grand jury charged him with three counts of allegedly enticing girls as young as 13 into being trained for illegal sexual activities (he reportedly bragged of doing it to girls as young as seven.) So now we know what it takes to get CNN to actually fire someone rather than just putting them on “indefinite suspension.”

Appallingly, CNN did not report this story. Neither did its rival MSNBC, nor did fellow liberal media outlets ABC, NBC and CBS.

https://www.foxnews.com/media/msnbc-abc-cbs-nbc-ignore-cnn-producer-john-griffin

Reminder: these are the same liberal media outlets who spend lots of time talking about loony rightwing conspiracy theorists who believe there’s a secret network of rich pedophiles that the media is covering up for. How could a crazy idea like that possibly get started?

Also somewhat related: I notice that one of the Grammy Award nominees for Best Comedy Album is by Louis CK. So it guess #MeToo is now officially dead in Hollywood.

6. Eighteen offensive words in Canada:

When George Carlin was arrested for doing his “Seven Words You Can’t Say On Television” bit, at least the words were actual curse words. Canada has just issued a list of 18 (!) words people are no longer allowed to say because they might offend someone, and some of them have people baffled as to who would be offended by them or why. Terms like “blackmail,” “grandfathered in,” “tone-deaf” and “first world problem.”

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/eighteen-offensive-words-you-cant-say-canada

If you get horribly offended by these words, then you are a perfect example of someone with a “first world problem.” But as Tyler Durden at ZeroHedge notes, this is only scratching the surface. If we’re going to purge the language of every word anyone might possibly find offensive, we’ve got a long way to go, and he offers some examples.

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/eighteen-offensive-words-you-cant-say-canada

Warning: he points out that there are 279 words alone in the English language that include the letters “black,” so by the time we’re finished censoring all the words, everyone will just be grunting and pointing. All conversations will sound like Tim Allen monologs.

The Democratic talking points or just made up phrases are to anger people with a little intellect. The meat price increase is greed by cattle producers most people understand especially people in the rural areas know cattle don't just don't show up at the process building. Grain and food and water and medicines just do not pop up for cattle to use, it needs to be paid for and as people of all sorts know it has to be transported the grains need to be planted and harvested Pelosi has no idea how her ice cream is made biden is clueless about everything so biden shuts down a portion of of energy sector and the fuel source is limited and the prices of most goods go up due higher fuel prices and that is my thesis, the Democrat comes out and says all the price increases are due to greed. Does biden or Pelosi if they could build anything eat the rising costs of materials take the loss of profit so the consumers would pay a lower price for a product NO with the character of these 2 louts they would double the price because these 2 are the King and Queen of Greed.

"I hope that doesn’t stop you from giving toys for children who have nothing to do with the adults’ dumb decisions. Sometimes, we need to put politics aside and think of the greater good."

If you ask me the "greater good" is putting the corporations, companies and organizations that would ensure that the nation that these children grow up in is "fundamentally transformed" into a Cultural Marxist dystopia out of business. Permanently. That's not politics. That's me not supporting a cabal of ideologues who embrace ideals which are destructive to the soul. I mean I wouldn't go giving donations to the "Church of Satan Christmas Present Fund" or "The Aryan Brotherhood does Toys of Tots," either! Way I see it the "Salvation Army" sold their souls to the same evils as the hypothetical above - Pride, manipulation, greed, racial hatred, and lies.

Give us a listing of additional "non-woke" charities to go along with the Marines (who I hope to the Lord ARE still "non-woke") and the Samaritans. I don't have much, but I'd be happy to share what I've got - especially with children in need. Provided that I know that the children in question won't be required (today, yesterday or tomorrow) to prostrate themselves before the Altar of Shame and Self-Loathing whilst reciting their unwavering allegiance to the Gospel of Herbert Marcuse before receiving their Christmas gift.

I don't know about "grunting and pointing", Huck. We already know it's rude to point. And I think "grunt" bespeaks an inferior mental level which could be construed as appropriation.

Perhaps a certain gleam in the eye and a royal hand-wave might work. But don't let on that it's royal. Very divisive!
