Military Stand-Down Ordered

New Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has ordered a 60-day stand-down to address “extremism” in the ranks of the US military. Toni Williams at the Victory Girls blog has more background, and makes some excellent points.

For instance, if this is intended to root out genuine extremists, such as Major Nidal Hassan, the Fort Hood mass shooter, and other dangerous characters of all stripes, then it should be applauded. If it’s an attempt to redefine “extremism” to mean pro-lifers, Trump voters, Second Amendment supporters and other law-abiding conservatives, then it will be an unconstitutional witch hunt and an unconscionable slander of America’s troops.

I will try to be hopeful that it’s the former. But considering how Hassan’s growing extremism was deliberately overlooked for fear of accusations of “Islamophobia” and how the Obama/Biden Administration tried to pass his deadly, radical Islamic terrorist attack off as “workplace violence,” I will have to be convinced.

    Let the purge begin. Obama is pulling the strings and they want to make sure that they have a brainless military that will be willing to fire upon American Citizens. The long-term plan is to destroy the constitutional government of these United States. Just remember it is legal to disregard an unlawful order.

    It took many, many years to build an integrated volunteer military. In the 50s it was still somewhat racist but mostly by the upper echelon. The enlisted were mostly just service men and women growing up together and sharing life and patriatism after the country was celebrating the end of the war. We were friends plain and simple. Most of America is not racist. Politics is the problem and it’s the upper echelon again!!

    I am a veteran and just want to say I have never felt so betrayed as when the Democrats stole our Presidential election! My country let me down! How could the USA be so stupid as to elect a total despot as Joe Biden?! My country is headed down the tube and there is nothing I can do about it? I feel as is if we are at the beginning of a civil war? God help US!

    I believe you are 100% correct. The left will do anything to squelch conservatives and I believe the Democrats are terrified that the troops are almost entirely Trump supporters. The reactions of the soldiers as the newly "inaugurated president" passed by on the 20th shows where the military troops are. To have only troops who support the left would be the same as having "Nazi Strom Troopers." Terrifying.

    Point well taken. The Biden administration believes the American people are the extremist. You and I who are not Communist, Marxist, Socialist. Loyal American citizens. Who support our Republic, the United States of America. Instead of a UN Style Military. If you are in the Military and you know someone in the upper hierarchy of the Military.     There is no systemic extremism in the US Military. Our servicemen and women are patriots, with very few exceptions. They are volunteers who all took an Oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. It is the election thieves that are a threat to the USA, not our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines.

    I'm extremely concerned about where are country is heading! Every day we see our government trying to take our constitutional rights away. I think it's absurd that our military is treated this way! They gave their oath to defend the constitution of the United States. What are the democrats afraid of? Such corruption! God help us????????
