Happy Father’s Day weekend!  I hope you’ll get an early start on celebrating by tuning in to TBN tonight for another jam-packed new episode of “Huckabee!”  This week, I’ll talk to Rep. Joe Wilson of the House Foreign Affairs and Armed Services Committees about President Trump’s historic North Korea summit and what to watch for next.  Former Congress member Cliff Stearns will tell us about his book that reveals how Congress really works behind closed doors.  I’ll talk to Rock Hall of Famer Jonathan Cain of Journey about his music and his faith, and we’ll hear some great country music from “The Voice” winner, Craig Wayne Boyd.  There are more surprises in store, but I think I’ll just say the three words that I know will get you to watch:  “Diamond And Silk.”

All that and more is coming your way on “Huckabee” tonight on TBN at 8 EST, 7 CST (repeated at 10 EST and the same time slots on Sunday.) To find the TBN channel in your town or cable system, and for clips and full episodes of past shows, visit

Fox & Friends was broadcasting live from the White House lawn Friday when President Trump decided to crash the broadcast and give the country an earful on what he thinks about the Inspector General’s report on the FBI's handling of the Hillary Clinton email case.  Take note, "SNL": This is what I call entertaining live television!

Paul Manafort, who was briefly Donald Trump’s campaign manager, has been ordered to jail for allegedly attempting to tamper with witnesses, and is facing a boatload of financial and paperwork violation charges that, as a former Watergate prosecutor put it, could send the 69-year-old to prison for the rest of his life.  By comparison, in some states, you can get as little as one year for manslaughter.

I have no idea whether Paul Manafort is the process crime equivalent of John Gotti that Javert-like prosecutor Robert Mueller seems to think he is – or is pretending to think that he is, so he can keep pouring indictments onto Manafort's head like a waterboarding with writs, until he forces him to accuse Trump of something, anything, so that his endless, multi-million dollar “Russia collusion” investigation doesn’t fizzle like a wet firecracker.  But I do know this:

For all the charges that have been leveled at Manafort, all the ones that now threaten to keep him in the Gray Bar Hotel for life, not a single one has Jack Squat to do with Russia influencing the 2016 election results.  As for the witness tampering charge, I have no idea whether he’s guilty or not.  But if true, then Manafort must be the fastest witness tamperer in history, since the only direct evidence is that he allegedly made a phone call that lasted all of one minute and 26 seconds.

Rather than opine on laws I’m not an expert on, I will direct you to this article by a genuine legal expert, and one who admits he “disdains” Trump and has no use for Manafort – yet even he seems stunned by just how “thin” Mueller’s evidence is.

Again, I don’t pretend to know whether Paul Manafort is a scoundrel deserving of life in prison or just a no-more-sleazy-than-average DC lobbyist caught in a Kafkaesque nightmare by an out-of-control, partisan prosecutor.  But what’s indisputable is that this began as an investigation into alleged Russian collusion and morphed into the threat of life in prison for unrelated offenses including allegedly making a phone call to a witness (whom Manafort claims he didn’t even know was a witness) of an alleged crime that has nothing to do with what was supposed to be investigated in the first place.  This should serve as a chilling lesson in the danger of not strictly limiting the power and scope of prosecutors, to prevent them from pursuing people instead of crimes.

Discouraging news for those reveling in the claim that President Trump got nothing from Kim Jong-Un: aside from the dismantling of North Korea’s nuclear test site and the release of three US detainees, Kim has already started making good on his promise to return the remains of American POWs and MIAs killed in the Korean War.  Trump told Fox News Friday, “They are already starting to produce the remains of these great young soldiers who were left in North Korea.”  This could be a long process: about 7,800 Americans are unaccounted for from the Korean War, and 5300 of those are believed to have died in battle or POW camps.

For those who would scoff that returning the remains of some long-dead soldiers doesn’t mean much, I have to assume they have never lost a loved one in war or suffered the agony of not knowing what happened to them or being able to give them a proper burial and find closure after years of uncertainty.  I’d say, “Tell it to the families of those service members,” but on second thought, don’t tell them.  If you’re that clueless or your heart has been that hardened by political partisanship, then please do their families a kindness and keep your cynicism to yourself.

I’ve interviewed Rob Reiner on TV and think he’s a terrific film director.  And while he and I certainly don’t agree on much politically, I’ve always found him to be the (now, sadly rare) type of liberal who can have a respectful, friendly debate and disagree without getting disagreeable.

Here’s proof: he’s warning fellow celebrities that all their over-the-top Trump-bashing is only helping Trump by energizing his base and seemingly proving his point that his critics are nasty, arrogant elitists.  His example was Robert DeNiro’s latest foul-mouthed anti-Trump rant at the Tony Awards, which his fellow actors made worse by rewarding it with a standing ovation.

If you look at the next-day coverage in the entertainment press, you’ll find praise for that moment as “galvanizing,” epic, historic, dramatic and inspiring. Actually, it was a deranged man yelling the F-word at the President on live TV, and his colleagues signaling wild approval of his offensive and inappropriate behavior – all while they were in the middle of their once-a-year free network commercial to sell Midwestern tourists on buying Broadway tickets.  The next day, all the stories about the event barely mentioned the winning shows.  But they gave tons of space to the foul-mouthed elitist actor insulting the President and his supporters, and to the entire theater community giving that a standing ovation.  Wonder how many Trump voters who’d been thinking of coming to New York to see a Broadway show decided to vacation at Yellowstone instead, where they can get more intelligent political commentary from bears?   Yep, you liberal actors really showed Trump!

They should listen to Rob Reiner.  He directed “This Is Spinal Tap” and helped create the phrase, “These go to 11,” so he understands people who can’t quite grasp when they’re making fools of themselves.  He’s right: Hollywood liberals should quit turning their Trump hatred up to 11 in public before the public turns their box office receipts down to zero.  Or less.  Our respect knob for people who curse the President on live TV goes lower than zero.

Inspector General Michael Horowitz may have declined to confirm the cause-and-effect relationship between stunning anti-Trump bias at the FBI and the outcome of Hillary’s email case, but all the evidence of vicious partisanship is there in his report.  He’s included what we already knew or suspected, but there’s much more.  The FBI in 2016 was infected with bias.  We can connect the incredibly obvious dots ourselves and come to our own conclusions about the motivation behind the FBI’s investigation of Trump and even the special counsel probe..

Of course, most major media will focus on the report’s mystifying conclusion without delving much deeper into its 568 pages.  That’s because the deeper one goes, the more horrifyingly biased the culture of the FBI is shown to be.

If you thought the Strzok-Page texts provided evidence of bias, wait until you see the texts between another pair of FBI agents who were romantically involved (they’re now married).  They’re identified in the report only as “Agent 1” and “Agent 5,” but we know they were directly involved in the Hillary investigation.  Anyone looking at their texts and not concluding that “the fix was in” for Hillary is just refusing to accept the obvious.

“Agent 1” was one of just four agents assigned to the Hillary email case, and he, for one, did not want to interview her at all, thinking it was a “continued waste of resources and time and focus..”  “I’m actually starting to have embarrassment sprinkled on my disappointment,” he instant-messaged to “Agent 5.”  “Ever been forced to do something you adamantly opposed.”

Like Lisa Page, “Agent 1” believed that Hillary’s election was a foregone conclusion.  After completing the interview with Clinton, “Agent 1” messaged “Agent 5” that he was “done interviewing the President.”

He also made it clear to “Agent 5” that he was “with her.”  As in, “I’m With Her.”

Commentary continues below advertisement

When “Agent 5” complained to “Agent 1” about the “MYE” (Mid-Year Exam, the Hillary case) work she was having to do, “Agent 1” wrote back in a way that confirms what the political environment was like at the FBI.  He referred to the Hillary investigation as “a case that doesn’t matter and is predestined.”  He went on to say, “The DOJ comes in every once in a while and takes a wishy-washy, political, cowardice stance. “

“This is the environment love,” he tells her.  “Can’t sugar coat it.”  He advised her to just do the best she could.

When asked later by investigators about the case being “predestined,” he said he had no information about that.

“Agent 1” also interviewed Hillary’s personal IT assistant.  You’ll want to read the whole exchange, but when another FBI employee asked him how the interview went, “Agent 1” said, “Awesome.  Lied his a-- off.”

The employee replied that “it would be funny if he was the only guy charged in this deal.”

And in a testament to the way anti-Trumpers view Trump supporters, “Agent 5” texted “Agent 1” to say the ones in Ohio were “retarded.”  She also wrote to him that if Hillary should lose, “I’m gonna be walking around with both of my guns...and likely quitting on the spot.”

In his report, Michael Horowitz admonished the FBI employees who had shown bias, saying that their conduct “had cast a cloud over the entire FBI investigation and sowed doubt about the FBI’s work on, and its handling of, the Midyear investigation.  The damage caused by these employees’ actions extends far beyond the scope of the Midyear investigation and goes to the heart of the FBI’s reputation for neutral factfinding and political independence.”

In other words, where do they go to get their reputation back?  But the damage goes far beyond the FBI’s reputation.  We know that the Hillary investigation was deliberately botched.  This goes to the nature of the whole American system of justice –- the old-fashioned idea that Lady Justice is wearing a blindfold, not an “I’m With Her” button.

Weary of the Illegal Immigration debate. Let's go back some years. The children of Israel were not allowed into the Land of Milk and Honey (parallel USA) because they sinned by breaking a commandment. And the sins of the fathers are visited upon the sons to the third and fourth generations. Send them ALL back! Problem of separation solved.

If I accidentally take the wrong automobile lane and end up in Mexico, just happen to go into labor and my child is born there, is my child now a Mexican citizen? Our laws should NOT confer citizenship on children born on American soil to parents who are here illegally.

My wife at the time had an affair with a married man (2 children). My wife did not want custody of our 4 daughters so I was awarded physical custody and I raised my daughters as a single parent.

After 2 years, the girls mother decided that she wanted custody. The court refused to award custody to the girls mother. So she escalated her tactics. Over time, she obtained several Temporary Restraining Orders (TRO) accusing me of domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse and child abuse (she rotated these charges and each TRO. TRO's are easy to obtain if one is a woman. With each TRO, I was separated from my children (TRO issued by the court and executed by the Police). With each TRO, I returned to court and my girls were eventually returned to their home. With each separation, my heart was in my throat as the police grabbed my children and my girls were sobbing uncontrollably.

I am a U.S. citizen, but the children and I didn't receive any assistance from the ACLU, Children's Defense Fund or from any other advocacy organizations.

    When the court
eventually realized that the girls mother was abusing the judicial system, no more TRO' s were issued.

The next tactic employed by the girls mother was to deploy Child Services. When a case is opened by Child Services, they do not need a warrant in order to enter one's home. I was subjected to many, many unannounced inspections of my home, looking for drugs, alcohol and the like. The girls were removed from their school classes to be interviewed.

Because I was subjected to having my children taken (separated) from my home many times, I believe it is time for the liberal left and establishment Republicans to stop their silly defense of illegal aliens. It is time to stop with the fake tears that they shed on behalf of illegals. They must stop with the drama.

These liberals and rhinos did not defend me. I was subjected to far more abuse than the illegal aliens will ever experience.

It is time for U.S. citizens to receive the same preferential treatment that is afforded to illegals. All I want is to be treated with the same respect and with the same benefits as illegal aliens. No better but certainly not worse. U.S. citizens deserve to have our rights protected.

When a person with children commits a non-violent crime like distributing illegal drugs, breaking and entering, cheating on taxes, etc., the person is sentenced to jail and is separated from his/her children, as they can be sent to foster care. If someone comes across the border illegally, it is also a non-violent crime. He can be sent to jail for this crime, and any children are separated from him in the same manner. Should the children go to jail with parents who commit crimes? Of course not; the children have not committed a crime, the parents did. There is always a safe environment for children to be placed when their parents commit crimes and get put in jail. The Democrats are only pandering to Hispanic voters and trying to villainize Republicans as this mid-term election approaches.

Governor Huckabee; I know that God has His hand on President Trump and continues to expose every bit of the corruption in this government for many years back. Proverbs 26:27 Amplified Bible Whoever digs a pit { for another man's feet } shall fall into it himself, and he who rolls a stone. { up a height to do mischief }, it will return upon him. [ Ps 7:15, 16:9-15 10:2 57:6 Proverbs 28:10 Eccl 10-8. ] God is not through with the America in these last days and many believers in this country and around the world are praying for President Trump. So as Mark Taylor { retired firefighter} { if you haven't heard him you should go to his website} who prophesied Donald Trump would be president said fasten your seatbelts and get ready for the ride. He has heard from God. I would like to see him on your TBN program.

    Pastor Mike,
Is there a way that the people of this country can bring about prosecution of these individuals? Also, Is there a way that the "agents" involved can be unmasked and "drummed" out of the bureau and then prosecuted? These people, including all the way to the "top" need to be unmasked and brought to justice and jailed.
Thank you for what you do and allowing me to comment.

When will we get an AG that will actually proscute the renigade agents in the FBI and DOJ that have committed crimes. It appears that Wray and Sessions may both be corrupt as well.

Hi Mike, Clean up the FBI and get their reputation back? That's easy: Give Tom Fitton a Top Secret clearance and let him open the doors to the FBI and walk in with camera and recorder and chase the rats out. We may have to build another jail, but that will be cheaper than waht they have been doing. Bob

We watched Judge Jeanine and Kellyann Conway tonight and they both said the American people need to get riled about the IG report. We ARE riled but what are we supposed to do???? The only one doing anything in Washington seems to be President Trump. Do we write him and ask him to intervene and fire Sessions? Tell us what to do and we’ll do it. The deep state has to come down.

I seems to me that all the fooferah about Manafort is just to put him into a corner where he will say anything they want him to say to keep out of jail. Kind of reminds me of the Spanish Inquisition. Torture them until they say what you want them to say.

Obama-bin-lying said He would fundamentally change America and He has, but not for the better. We are all headed down a slippery slope. If Trump gets fed up with all this crap and does not run or is not elected we better find a place to go. This country is gone over the edge with the performance of congress and all the sets up for election. If the Clintons get away with what they have done, and it looks like they will. I for one tax paying American feel I am screwed to the wall and there is nothing I can do about it. Begs the question, could YOU, Mr. Huck take what Trump has had you been president?
