--------------------------

I’ve heard President Trump’s critics call him “Teflon Don” because of the way the mud they hurl at him doesn’t stick.  But last week, his critics tried dumping an entire truckload of mud on him, and somehow ended up just burying themselves.

They thought the big story would be impeachment, but outside of their own cocktail parties and media circles (many of the same newspapers editorial boards – NY Times, WaPo, USA Today, etc. – that have been calling for impeachment since 2016 endorsed impeachment again, surprise), the world reacted with a shrug and a yawn.  They’ve been beating that dead horse since the minute Trump was elected.  Many of us were almost relieved when they finally pulled the ripcord, just out of the probably futile hope that maybe now, they’ll finally shut up about it.

What was supposed to be Trump’s worst week ever was perhaps his best week ever, as even an MSNBC commentator admitted. There were breakthroughs on the China and North American trade deals, stunning job creation, a stock market surge, the devastating loss by the left in the UK elections, polls showing support for impeachment cratering and Trump’s support rising to new highs, and a number of other positive stories for him.

And how are things looking for the Democrats, who thought this would be their triumphant moment?  A few of them have started venturing home for holiday-time townhalls.  It is not going well.

https://www.westernjournal.com/watch-dem-congresswoman-skewered-constituents-impeachment-support/

Even in Adam Schiff’s safely leftist district, there are impeachment opponents, and boy, did they make themselves heard at his town hall on Saturday night.

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/bethbaumann/2019/12/15/watch-chaos-erupts-when-constituents-confront-schiff-over-impeachment-during-a-town-hall-n2558033

Meanwhile, there are rumblings of defections.  House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin Peterson, whose constituents oppose impeachment, is leaning against voting for it, saying it’s “divisive” and “accomplishes nothing.”

And New Jersey Democratic Rep. Jeff Van Drew, who voted against the impeachment inquiry, reportedly not only plans to vote against impeachment but will switch parties to the Republicans, which prompted five of his staffers to quit (see, he’s not even a Republican yet, and he’s already saving the taxpayers money.)

Rep. Jerrold Nadler brushed off the defection, claiming that Van Drew was just reacting to poor poll numbers.  Know who didn’t react to poor poll numbers?  The arrogant leftists in Great Britain who also refused to listen to the voters.  The election is still over 11 months away, the Democrats haven’t even voted on their “impeachment” farce yet, and their majority has already been reduced by one.

They might want to get used to that feeling.

With gratitude,

Mike Huckabee

FEATURED STORY

IG report: FBI "colluded" with DNC and Hillary, and doctored the evidence

By Mike Huckabee

The IG report runs over 400 pages, but some of the most intriguing information –- which so far has largely escaped public scrutiny –- is contained in one measly footnote.

I’ll try to outline this very simply and clearly because when Dan Bongino tried to explain it in his Friday podcast, even his producer was so confused that he piped in, “Information overload, man.” But it’s really important, as it has to do with WHEN the FBI actually got the DNC (Hillary)-funded information from Fusion GPS and WHY they kept this out of the timeline for “Crossfire Hurricane.” It also sheds light on WHY one FBI official faces criminal charges for “doctoring” a particular document.

The FBI, according to Footnote 461, was approached by a former spy (not identified by name) in late July 2016. Recall that “Crossfire Hurricane” was opened on July 31, 2016. The problem with this is, the FBI can’t be seen as having opened an investigation into a political candidate based on information from the DNC, which is what he brought them. It would look soooo much better to say that it started with the manufactured Papadopoulos story about Russia having Hillary’s emails; this had already been documented in a May 11 cable sent by Australian diplomat Alexander Downer. (Consistent with that, we know from the Strzok/Page texting on May 11 that something happened that day involving the State Department.) The FBI has maintained they learned about Downer’s tip, in mid-July, not in May, likely because that time frame fits better with the July 31 opening of the Trump case.

With these points in mind, and also the fact that “CHS” means “SPY,” here’s Footnote 461 (or you can just skip down to my TRANSLATION):

"The only express direction we found that McCabe made regarding the use of a CHS concerned a former FBI CHS, who contacted an FBI agent in an FBI field office in late July 2016 to report information from “...a colleague who runs an investigative firm...hired by two entities (the Democratic National Committee [DNC] as well as another individual...[who was] not name[d]) to explore Donald Trump’s longlasting ties to Russian entities.” The former CHS also gave the FBI agent a list of “individuals and entities who have surfaced in [the investigative firm’s] examination,” which the former CHS described as “mostly public source material.” In mid-September 2016, McCabe told SSA1 to instruct the FBI agent from the field office not to have any further contact with the former CHS, and not to accept any information regarding the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. McCabe told the OIG [Office of the Inspector General] he did not remember giving those instructions, and could not tell us why he might have done so. We found no evidence that the FBI reopened the CHS for the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, or tasked the former CHS in connection with the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.”

I wanted to make sure you also read these comments:

Early Monday morning, Rep. Jerrold Nadler’s House Judiciary Committee released its impeachment report on President Trump.  It consists of 658 pages of hot gas, which Congress members are supposed to read, digest, ponder and then make an incredibly important, informed, even historic decision about in time to vote for or against impeachment on Wednesday, before Christmas break.

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/leahbarkoukis/2019/12/16/impeachment-report-n2558057

Sorry, Democrats, don’t expect me to take this seriously if you can’t even take it seriously.

------------------------------------

Rep. Devin Nunes is getting a special Christmas sweet this year: the sweet taste of vindication.  Appropriately enough, that taste comes courtesy of a fruitcake, Adam Schiff.

Remember, it was Nunes who first sniffed out the anti-Trump chicanery going on in the Deep State, and for that, he was smeared, called a crazy conspiracy theorist, falsely accused of ethics violations to force him to step down, and all his (now proven correct) claims dismissed as untrue by Schiff.

Now that the IG Horowitz report has proven Nunes correct, the Congressman released a scathing three-page letter to Schiff, writing that Schiff has a long history of making false statements into the Congressional Record that have enormous implications for his role as head of the committee overseeing intelligence agencies (I’d like to note here that I pointed out the ridiculousness of putting Adam Schiff in charge of intelligence before he even took over the job, and it was one of those jokes that’s funny because it’s true.)

Nunes’ letter lists just a small sampling of Schiff’s blatant false statements, followed by Horowitz’s findings of outrageous abuses and “mistakes” made by the FBI that directly contradict Schiff’s claims.  Even now, with the truth exposed by the agency’s own inspector general, Schiff continues to deny, downplay and lie to cover up for the agency’s bad apples, when it’s supposedly his job to head the oversight committee that protects citizens from these very abuses (Schiff’s new excuse is ignorance, which may be the most believable thing he’s ever said.)

https://pjmedia.com/trending/schiff-offers-laughable-untruthful-excuse-for-ignoring-fisa-abuses/

Nunes’ letter also accuses Schiff of “hijacking” the committee and shirking its oversight duty while using it instead "as a launching pad to impeach the president for issues that have no intelligence component at all."

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/nunes-blasts-schiff-for-false-conclusions-on-fisa-process-in-scathing-letter-admit-you-have-a-problem

But in the charitable spirit of the season, Nunes says he refuses to believe that Schiff is beyond redemption, and he’s willing to work with him if he will enter a rehabilitation program and start by admitting “you have a problem.”  He says he knows that won’t be easy, after years of spewing lies about the President colluding with Russia and being complicit in the violation of an American’s civil rights by denying abuses by an agency he was supposed to be overseeing.  He says a good start would be to invite Horowitz in for a House Intelligence Committee Hearing, the way the Senate already did.

May I add, to prove he can break his bad habits, he has to let the Republicans question Horowitz, too.

But a rehab for a lying habit this ingrained is bound to take time, so let’s hope that come November, Schiff will have lots of free time on his hands to think about what he’s done and atone for it, while Nunes returns to chairing that committee once again.  In the meantime, with the committee unwilling to provide oversight, and agencies certainly not trustworthy to police themselves, it’s a good thing John Durham is on the case.

Here is a link to the entire letter, if you’d like to enjoy a little fun holiday reading.

One more thing: after seeing the odious Schiff be hailed, defended and elevated in power by the Democrats, I never want to hear another fatuous lecture from liberals about how Republicans no longer have the integrity they had when they pressured Nixon to resign (Nixon was actually accused of something real) or see another Hollywood movie about how horrible the days of the McCarthy-era studio blacklists were.  Call me when you stop blacklisting Republicans in Hollywood and when you stop reelecting a guy who waves around blank pieces of paper and claims they’re lists of people in the White House who are really Russian agents.

Bible Verse of the Day (KJV)

"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

- Hebrews 10:24-25

    Dear Governor,
I voted before I read today's newsletter....so....sorry for the comment I also submitted with the vote.
Question though--I guess you would agree then...that if the President IS acquitted, that investigations and charges that come out of the Horowitz report....as well as any information due to Barr and Durham.... could still be brought against all concerned who have lied, cheated, stolen...etc...without actually involving the President?

“The republican controlled Senate should immediately dismiss all charges against Donald Trump. After all, we all know the only reason he will get off is because the Senate will save his butt.

Trump is as guilty as hell. If the Senate votes without a trial, that will prove his guilt. It will be just another cover-up.”
    .............

    Oh heavens.

Go to trial. Make it a showcase of all that has happened. Subpoena everyone who is remotely connected. Take revenge. Skewer the wrong doers.

In the eyes of the democrats, socialists and communists, failure to go to trial will simply prove Trump is guilty.

    Is that what we want?

Hopefully all the Dems will be thrown on the compost pile of history next November. A pile so large even angry Greta would approve!

about Nadler's impeachment report - "It consists of 658 pages of hot gas, ..."

That's probably one of the reasons the USA is among the world's largest energy exporter. All that gas is exportable - until it's declared toxic and then watch out! ;-)

Regarding "Collin Peterson whose constituents oppose impeachment, is leaning against voting for it, saying it’s “divisive” and “accomplishes nothing.” He should be considering against voting for it because there is no "there" there. And, whether he moves to a different party, if he votes against it--he can look his constituents in the eyes and know he is working for his constituents, and not for the democrat party or the leftist/socialist movement.

Why aren't All Republicans referring to All democrats as 'socialist democrat party member's' every single time they talk about them?
The socialist democrats rule main stream media so every time a Republican mentions any of them, that's how they should be mentioned.
Republicans keep losing the media battles every day. They need to drive this home every single time they are on any network.
There is no democratic party anymore. Come on GOP, drive that point home every chance you get.

With age comes ability to detect frauds liars deceitful people I can tell a fraud by listening to them in about 5 minutes. For people like Pelosi H. Clinton Schiff Nadler Comey Blumenthal Schumer Gore Romney Harris Booker and the like, listening for 5 minutes would seem like a hour of torture within 30 seconds a person could tell how dishonest these people are. That is why people like them stay away from mid America, midwest our farmers can only shake their heads at them. The animals they raise are more reliable and in most cases have more common sense than these politicians. How is Gore's climate change working for him if you see him ask him why the glaciers started melting 7000 years ago. Gore is a FRAUD!!!
