I reported last week on how women’s sports defender and champion swimmer Riley Gaines was physically assaulted (as was at least one other student with her, a rep for TPUSA) by a mob of violent trans activists at San Francisco State University. They outnumbered campus police, cursed and threatened Ms. Gaines, and kept her hostage in a classroom for three hours, demanding money to let her leave safely before city police finally arrived and got her out.

I wrote at the time that none of these terrorists had been arrested and the university so far had said and done nothing. Well, SFSU’s Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management Jamillah Moore finally released a statement, and it’s even worse than I imagined.

It was the usual leftist campus mush about diversity and unity and how “the trans community is welcome and belongs at San Francisco State University,” and how they are “proud” of those who “participated peacefully.” There were several paragraphs of this boilerplate pablum, but not a single word of condemnation for the violent trans mob that physically assaulted Ms. Gaines or any apology to her or defense of her right to speak.

Gaines tweeted back to Moore, pointing out that she was assaulted, extorted and held for ransom, adding, “We must have different definitions of ‘peaceful.’” (I assume she’s using the CNN version, as in describing a riot with arson as “a fiery, but mostly peaceful protest.”) She also forwarded some video of her being physically assaulted. To add insult to injury, Moore’s response was to block Gaines from her Twitter account.

Ms. Gaines response: “I guess it’s easier for her to ignore me than to denounce violence against women. She won’t be able to ignore my lawsuit.”

I wish her the very best of luck, and I hope she sues the pants off the university, sues the DA to force them to prosecute these violent criminals, and identifies each and every one of them (if you spot them on social media, please let the world know their identities) so that she can sue them individually in civil court and make them face consequences for their rotten behavior for likely the first time in their lives.

I also fervently hope that she sues SFSU for so much and wins that she assumes ownership of that school, because I can only imagine how much better it would be with her running it. She might even be able to save it, considering a recent poll found that only 42% of Americans still think college is worth the cost, and it’s largely because of garbage like this.

In the meantime, as I eagerly await the process-serving, if you are a parent with a college-age daughter, be warned that she’d probably be safer and have more rights as a woman if you sent her to Afghanistan than if you sent her to San Francisco State University.
