1. DAILY BIBLE VERSE

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Hebrews 9:27-28

If you have a favorite Bible Verse you want to see in one of our newsletters, please email [email protected].

2. Core Prices

Friday morning, the government reported that core prices – a key measure of inflation used by the Fed that excludes food and energy prices – rose 5.4% in February from the previous February. That’s the 11th straight month that it’s been above the central bank’s target rate of 2%, and the biggest jump in core prices since 1982. And again, that doesn’t include food or fuel.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/federal-reserve-inflation-pce-consumer-prices-february-2022

This also answers the question, “Why does the President seem to want us to be talking about nothing but transgenderism?”

3. Great news

In a victory for everyone who’s ever been slandered by irresponsible leftist academics who smear people as racists without evidence, the Ohio 9th District Court of Appeals has upheld a massive judgement against Oberlin College by the family-owned Gibson’s Bakery.

https://legalinsurrection.com/2022/03/appeals-court-upholds-gibsons-bakery-massive-verdict-against-oberlin-college/

In a nutshell, Gibson's detained an Oberlin student who was shoplifting, and who later pleaded guilty. But because he was black, an Oberlin dean of students accused the bakery of racial profiling, got their business with the college canceled, called for a boycott and helped gin up angry protests outside their business. The plaintiffs accused Oberlin of dragging out the case because they knew the two family patriarchs were terminally ill, but the family kept fighting after their deaths.

The Court upheld the full award of $33 million in damages, punitive judgements and attorneys’ fees. The Court rejected Oberlin’s claim that they were being held responsible for the free speech of their students, finding that the protests were background and the issue was the defamatory statements that inspired them. Oberlin could appeal to the state Supreme Court, but there’s no guarantee that they would take the case or rule any differently.

Click the link to read the full details and prepare to get angry but feel satisfied at the results. If universities are going to actively promote the idea that racism is such a terrible thing that anyone accused of it should be targeted, attacked and destroyed, then that makes it even more vital that courts treat false and malicious accusations of racism as seriously as they would treat someone misusing a deadly weapon.

4. Levin: We need a "Biden Crime Family" special counsel

The firehose of news about Hunter Biden’s laptop is still on full blast. Mark Levin, on Sunday’s LIFE, LIBERTY & LEVIN, speculated that we might have a real-life “Manchurian Candidate” in the Oval Office. And he implicated the media –- the “Big Tech oligarchs” –- that covered up for the Bidens by censoring the Hunter laptop story before the 2020 election and afterwards, calling it “Russian disinformation.”

Levin pointedly mentioned Chris Wallace’s role in that. Recall that when Donald Trump tried to bring it up during a debate, Wallace refused to allow it. He also noted that The New York Times, now admitting the laptop really is Hunter’s, maintained as recently as September 2021 that it was (sigh) Russian disinformation.

This withholding of evidence absolutely was election interference.

Levin believes the NYT and also the Washington Post are writing about this now because they’ve been tipped off that prosecutors are moving fast. Much as they might like to, it’s hard for them to ignore developments like this, as reported in WaPo: “...The new documents –- which include a signed copy of a $1 million legal retainer, emails related to the wire transfers, and $3.8 million in consulting fees [from CEFC –- the CCP’s oil and gas conglomerate] that are confirmed in new bank records and agreements signed by Hunter Biden –- illustrate the ways in which his family profited from relationships built over Joe Biden’s decades in public service.”

There’s much more on the laptop tying Hunter to CEFC. As WaPo reported a few days ago, according to a contract signed in August 2017, Hunter would be paid a one-time retainer of $500,000 and would then receive a monthly stipend of $100,000, with his uncle James (Joe Biden’s brother) getting $65,000 a month.” Nice work if you can get it.

According to WaPo, the money started flowing “almost immediately, with the first incoming wire of $5 million arriving on August 8, 2017.” Documents on Hunter’s laptop to that effect were corroborated by identical bank statements [Sen. Chuck] Grassley’s office obtained from Cathay Bank for an account jointly held by Hunter Biden and CEFC executives...”

WaPo obtained a report from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network at the Treasury Department saying the transactions were flagged as potential money laundering, political corruption or other financial crimes. No wonder they’re thinking an indictment might be imminent.

There’s much more, and this is just the part about China, not Ukraine. (It includes that email verified by Hunter’s former partner Tony Bolulinski that specifies “10 [percent] held by H for the Big Guy.”) Of course, WaPo and the NYT have obviously tried to “help” the President by distancing him as much as possible from the activities of his brother and son. But, as Levin says, this laptop has “the names of individuals, it’s got dates on it, it’s got times on it, it’s got a thousand methods for confirming the authenticity of what’s on the laptop. Where are the media?” This information was known by them before the election, but the establishment media are only now talking about it. In contrast, the reporters at the New York Post, Miranda Devine in particular, deserve high praise for putting it all out there, raising the ire of the propagandists running social media.

Levin called for a federal special counsel, as opposed to the politicized DOJ led by Merrick Garland, to set up an office to look into all foreign dealings of the Biden family. There is solid evidence that President Biden lied multiple times in claiming not to know anything about Hunter’s business dealings and saying reports of wrongdoing had been “totally discredited.” “We need a Biden Crime Family Committee,” Levin said, “and we need one right now. We need to know what the hell’s going on. Communist China’s our biggest enemy, and they’re staring us down. It’s my contention we have a man in the Oval Office who is by all evidence corrupt --- bought off --- and we need it now.”

Ron Klain, Biden’s chief of staff, went on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday to tell George Stefanopoulos the President is confident Hunter didn’t break the law. But to cover his bases, Klain said, “These are actions by Hunter and his brother. They’re private matters. And they certainly are something that no one at the White House is involved in.”

https://www.theepochtimes.com/biden-confident-son-hunter-biden-didnt-break-the-law-white-house-chief-of-staff_4379711.html

Bonchie at RedState.com explains how Klain made an inadvertent admission. Right after saying Joe was confident Hunter hadn’t broken the law, Klain said Joe had had no contact with the DOJ. So, if he had no knowledge of his son’s business and hadn’t talked to the attorney general, how would he know whether or not Hunter had broken the law? Answer: he wouldn’t. Biden’s lying in one statement or the other, or perhaps in both.

https://redstate.com/bonchie/2022/04/03/white-house-response-to-hunter-biden-scandal-seems-to-make-an-inadvertent-admission-n544933

Similarly, the White House “pointed to” statements made in the fall of 2020 that Hunter and James Biden had committed no crimes but went on to dodge the question of whether or not the President might have had conversations about pardoning them.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/white-house/white-house-denies-hunter-biden-committed-any-crimes-and-dodges-on-pardon

We do know, however, that Biden HAS had conversations about prosecuting Trump, over January 6. And this story probably was leaked to put a bee in AG Garland’s bonnet. I thought the President wasn’t supposed to use his office to prosecute a political rival.

https://redstate.com/bonchie/2022/04/02/report-joe-biden-openly-pusing-for-the-doj-to-prosecute-donald-trump-n544606

Kyle Becker reports that a revealing text between Hunter and his daughter Naomi from December of 2018 has been verified. Here’s what it says at the end: “I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years. It’s really hard. But don’t worry unlike Pop I won’t make you give me half your salary.”

Rudy Giuliani discussed this text two weeks before the election with Martha MacCallum on FOX News. He said that, yes, he could verify that it was legit. Back then, the media --- well, not Martha --- painted Giuliani as a dingbat, and he later turned out to be 100 percent correct about this. Read the transcript of their interview at the link.

https://beckernews.com/bombshell-hunter-biden-text-reveals-joe-biden-made-him-give-him-half-his-salary-for-over-30-years-44654/

Finally, John Solomon has a must-read piece in which he tells the story of a retired intelligence office, Army Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer, who was approached by one of the intel agencies ahead of the 2020 election to try to help them acquire a copy of Hunter’s hard drive. “We don’t have a political dog in the fight,” they told Shaffer. “What our concern is, is that if there’s compromising information on that hard drive, this is before the election, the President could be compromised to the level of owing either China or Ukraine something.” Goodness, that sounds like a legitimate and very serious concern.

But according to Shaffer, in late October, the intel leadership abruptly said, “Stop, don’t touch it. We don’t want to know.”

Also, regarding the now-infamous letter signed by 51 former intel officials to say the laptop had “earmarks” of Russian disinformation, Shaffer said national security experts normally stay out of presidential politics, and that the signatories should be barred by law from holding an inside-government national security job ever again. Think that'll happen?

5. Russia-Ukraine

Here’s today’s link to Fox News’ continually-updated Russia-Ukraine headlines:

https://www.foxnews.com/live-news/ukraine-russia-live-updates-04-04-2022

Most of the news today is about video footage reportedly revealing horrifying images of civilians lying dead in the streets of the town of Bucha. Russia is being accused of war crimes and genocide. The UN human rights chief is calling for an effective, independent investigation of the alleged massacre in Bucha and other reported violations of international human rights law in other areas.

Also, the US Ambassador to the UN called for the UN to suspend Russia from the Human Rights Council, calling their participation “a farce.” I’m glad to hear that someone finally recognizes what I’ve been saying for years. Now, how about also mentioning the multiple farces of allowing China and other nations that trample human rights to hold important positions governing human rights at the UN?

6. Supreme Court confirmation process reveals less qualified nominee

Republican Sen. Susan Collins has already voiced her intentions to vote to confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson for the Supreme Court, as has Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin, so it’s now being treated as a certainty. Democrats are rushing forward with a vote today to advance her nomination out of the Judiciary Committee and hurry it to a floor vote.

But her confirmation process has actually made her appear less qualified than she seemed at first glance. Her record of going easy on pedophiles is disturbing enough. And the New York Post obtained transcripts of some of those rulings that are even more disturbing that we’ve been led to believe (warning: graphic details at the link.)

https://redstate.com/beccalower/2022/04/02/newly-released-transcripts-of-judge-ketanji-brown-jackson-child-porn-cases-show-why-she-must-not-be-seated-on-scotus-n544681

Also, the Democrats have refused even to release other records on her. And Sen. Ted Cruz revealed that in the written questions he submitted to her, she claimed she was unable to state whether Americans have natural rights. I’m not a lawyer, but I’m pretty sure the Founders listed our God-given rights in a PS to the Constitution called “The Bill of Rights.”

https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2022/04/02/yikes-you-need-to-see-this-answer-from-ketanji-brown-jackson-n544428

I get that she was too afraid of the trans lobby to admit that she knows what a “woman” is, but who is she afraid of offending by admitting that she knows Americans are endowed by their Creator with certain natural rights? Personally, I don’t want someone who’s unclear on that concept sitting on the Supreme Court for life.

Republicans may not have the majority, but lest we forget, neither do the Democrats. They just have the Veep to break ties. There is still a way that the Republicans could stop this headlong rush to place someone on the SCOTUS who doesn’t know a woman from a natural right. Allan Stevo at American Greatness explains how, but it would require all the Republicans to stand together to protect America. Let’s hope that’s not too much to ask of some of them.

7. EcoHealth

If you’re a longtime reader of this newsletter, the news you’re seeing elsewhere might seem awfully out of date. We were telling you about Hunter’s laptop and the bogusness of the “missing 7 hours of White House phone records” story long before the New York Times or CNN finally got around to reporting on them.

And now, another liberal media outlet has finally caught up: Vanity Fair magazine actually ran an investigative piece on EcoHealth Alliance, the murky nonprofit that my readers already knew was suspected of using NIH grants to fund gain-of-function research to make viruses more virulent at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The magazine found that EcoHealth operated under “murky grant agreements, flimsy oversight, and the pursuit of government funds for scientific advancement, in part by pitching research of steeply escalating risk.” It also reports that credentialed experts suspected COVID was created in a lab. And media messiah Dr. Anthony Fauci tried to discredit them and quash any evidence that the grants his agency approved might have funded the virus’ creation, pushing the narrative that that was a groundless conspiracy theory.

Here’s a write-up about the key findings of the article…

https://www.wndnewscenter.org/vanity-fair-fauci-silenced-lab-leak-theories-hid-evidence/

Here’s a link to the full, very lengthy original…

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2022/03/the-virus-hunting-nonprofit-at-the-center-of-the-lab-leak-controversy

Just for fun, here’s Sen. Rand Paul commenting on Dr. Fauci…

https://www.foxnews.com/media/fauci-adjacent-behavior-rand-paul-coronavirus

And as long as we’re talking about things that not long ago would’ve gotten you banned from social media just for mentioning them, here’s a newly-unearthed video from 2004, showing a younger Dr. Fauci saying that if you’ve had the flu, you don’t need to get vaccinated because natural immunity from prior infection is the most potent vaccination there is.

8. Disrespect

It was bad enough for the military when the Obama Administration started replacing experienced military leaders in the Pentagon with academics, yes men and bureaucratic desk jockeys. But has there ever been a Commander-in-Chief who is so openly hostile to American troops and military veterans as Joe Biden? Some didn’t think it was such a big deal when he ignored protocol and helped himself to pizza that is traditionally served to enlisted members first. But that little show of disrespect was just symbolic of his general attitude toward the military. Here are the latest examples.

Florida Republican Rep. Greg Stuebe, a veteran, and other Republicans sent a letter to Secretary of Veteran Affairs Denis McDonough, demanding an explanation of a recent guidance threatening to withhold VA benefits and treatment from veterans who engage in “harassing, disruptive, abusive or violent behavior” toward anyone they encounter in a VA facility, requiring respect “regardless of race; color; religion; sex; gender identity or expression; sexual orientation; age; physical or mental disability; or language."

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/rebeccadowns/2022/04/03/rep-steube-sends-letter-to-va-demanding-answers-on-restricted-benefits-over-leftist-code-on-gender-issues-n2605436?utm_campaign=rightrailsticky2

The term “disruptive” is so vague and subjective that it would allow veterans to be deprived of needed benefits they earned by risking their lives to protect us all, if someone lodged a bogus complaint about them, say, not respecting their gender identity. It’s basically the VA-level equivalent of that medical student who claimed to have deliberately botched a medical procedure because the patient laughed at her “preferred pronoun” button.

Then again, veterans might not be able to get medical services at the VA anyway, since the Biden Administration is reportedly considering diverting doctors away from the VA system to help deal with vaccinating and treating the massive influx of up to 500,000 illegal immigrants expected to swarm across our Southern borders once Biden lifts the Title 42 restrictions.

https://www.westernjournal.com/report-biden-administration-considering-pulling-health-care-veterans-treat-illegal-aliens/

Odd, to me, the more intelligent solution would be to not lift Title 42 and to send more border guards to the border, not VA doctors. A number of states agree, so much so that they’ve filed a lawsuit to stop Biden from taking such a destructive action.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/republican-states-sue-biden-title-42-lift

It’s hard to believe that any President would have such open disregard for the welfare and rights of our active duty troops and veterans. But then, this is the same President who forced countless members of the military to take a vaccine they objected to or else lose their careers and/or the military benefits that they earned by wearing the uniform he never donned.

9. Judge: Diversity law is unconstitutional

In a lawsuit brought by Judicial Watch, a Los Angeles judge ruled Friday that California’s new law mandating that corporations diversify their boards with members of certain “under-represented” racial, ethnic or LGBT groups is unconstitutional.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/california-corporate-diversity-law-ruled-unconstitutional

The state argued that it was necessary to end discrimination, while the plaintiffs called it a violation of Equal Protection and a blatant attack on constitutional prohibitions against discrimination. The legislature passed it despite an analysis warning that it would be difficult to defend, and then-Gov. Jerry Brown signed it despite admitting it was likely to be overturned. But as we learned from Obama repeatedly saying he had no power to create DACA then doing it anyway, knowing something is unconstitutional is not a deal-breaker when those on the left want it badly enough.

10. Job switch

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has apparently done such a bang-up job of covering up for the incompetent Democratic President that she will soon be leaving to continue the same duties for higher pay at MSNBC. They reportedly won a bidding war with CNN for her services.

https://www.westernjournal.com/psaki-grilled-ethics-negotiating-tv-deal-still-white-house/

That report has sparked criticism about the ethics of taking questions from reporters at a news outlet that she expects will soon be providing her with a paycheck. Apparently, this is within the letter of the ethics laws, but that link contains several biting commentaries from Twitter. My favorite is from Vernon Jones: “Apparently, Jen Psaki is leaving the Biden Administration to work for the Biden Administration.”

11. Gaffe Machine Joe

Over the weekend, I noticed that Fox News had a chyron onscreen reading something like, “White House corrects Biden gaffe.” I thought, “They must keep that on stand-by 24/7.” If you’re keeping track, here’s the latest: he confused Maxine Waters for Val Demings, Kwesie Mfume for Brandon Scott, and Michelle Obama for himself.

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/rebeccadowns/2022/04/02/joe-biden-had-us-once-more-questioning-his-mental-capacities-today-at-ceremonial-commissioning-event-n2605420

Oh, and it’s possible he might have fallen asleep standing up at a ship commissioning ceremony.

It’s all boosted calls for Biden to take a cognitive test. Former White House doctor, Rep. Ronny Jackson, has been calling for that for a long time, but as of this weekend, he’d moved past that to calling on Biden to resign. Lucky for Biden, he was asleep and didn't hear it.

PLEASE, PLEASE stop referring to Biden as the "Democratic" President and the "head" of the
"Democratic" party. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING "Democratic" about either one! The correct term would be: "progressive" "socialist" "communist" party or the old term, formerly known as the DEMOCRAT party and the DEMOCRAT president. Stop perpetuating such terms and then we can all put away our "ghost guns" and "military assault weapons" before going to the polls to be canceled by the left's "voters' rights protections."

Just like you say I am not a lawyer ether. Yet it would seem to me if the GOP take back the Senate come November, and with the evident of Judge Jackson lied under oath to the confirmation hear, one would think that they could get her removed from the bench. Yet even if they could far to many Senators don't have the backbone to do so for they have their hands in the cookie jar too.

I can't believe we as American citizens can't sue the Biden Administration for this INVASION of our southern borders. Why can't we defend our borders just like the Ukrainians are defending their borders/country? What about all the innocent people killed by illegals, drugs by the cartels, the whole ugly mess. Yes, a few states might have already done so, but as we all know it will end up in the "circular file." So let the flood gates open. I also believe there is more than one Manchurian Candidate in this WH! Traitors one an all!!
