A clip of video provided by HBO to congressional investigators, showing then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi admitting responsibility for what happened on January 6, raises some serious questions.

As you recall, her daughter Alexandra was filming that day for a documentary she was producing, and here she’s recording her mother while sitting in the back of mom’s SUV as they’re fleeing the Capitol grounds.  “We have responsibility, Terry!” she exclaims to her chief of staff, Terry McCullough.  “We did not have any accountability for what was going on there, and we should have.  This is ridiculous!”

“...You’re gonna ask me in the middle of the thing, when they’ve already breached the inaugural stuff, ‘Should we call the Capitol Police?’  I mean the National Guard.  Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?”

Indeed, Nancy, why WEREN’T they there?  The real story of January 6 seems to be that Trump authorized 10,000 National Guard and you SCREWED UP when you didn’t use them.  Then publicly, you blamed him for the whole thing.  As the House Administration Oversight Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, chaired by Barry Loudermilk, posted on X: “Since January 6, 2021, Nancy Pelosi spent 3+ years and $20 million creating a narrative to blame Donald Trump.  NEW FOOTAGE shows on January 6, Pelosi ADMITTED: “I take responsibility.”

Nick Arama at REDSTATE has a commentary about this as well, reporting that Pelosi’s spokesperson called this clip “cherry-picked” and “out of context.”  But Loudermilk posted that “Pelosi’s J6 Select Committee spent taxpayers’ money chasing false political narratives and using Hollywood producers for their ‘investigation.’  Her admission of responsibility directly contradicts their own narrative.”

Still, we’re wondering about the role played by an additional person, someone who shouldn’t have had anything to do with this, because that’s not the military’s job.  According to witnesses from the National Guard, then-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley was saying at the time that the delay in deploying the National Guard was because he feared President Trump would commandeer the military for political purposes.  Of course, Trump was doing no such thing.

Our favorite investigative reporter Julie Kelly has posted an article on Milley by Haley McLean, who spends his time researching and investigating DOJ weaponization.  The article is long and detailed but a must-read for anyone who wants the whole story of January 6.

Democrats were extremely anxious at that time because they knew 140 Republicans planned to contest the election results during the certification that day.  And, as McLean writes, “Milley was deeply engaged with a circle of confidants” including Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Susan Rice, and former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, all of whom “shared a unified disdain” for President Trump.

Testimony before the House Oversight Committee has shown that a clique of senior military officers shared “an irrational fear” that Trump was going to misuse the National Guard, and that Milley would make remarks that inflated these concerns.  He called it the potential “Reichstag moment.”

Nonetheless, when Milley testified at the J6 hearings, he said he was strictly neutral.  “The United States military has no role in domestic politics, period, full stop,” he said.  (Just a thought:  wouldn’t DELAYING the Guard be playing a role in politics?)  But read more about Miley here, and you’ll see someone who was toxically politicized against Trump.

Milley had such TDS, he carried two “nightmare scenarios” in his mind during Trump’s final months in office.  One was that he’d spark some kind of external crisis, such as war with Iran, so he could grab power here.  The other was that he’d manufacture some domestic crisis to justify sending the military into the streets to prevent the transfer of power.

Note:  We’ve been talking a lot lately about “projection.”  Isn’t it funny how these things Milley had in mind sound a lot more like what Democrats would do to win?  Maybe stir up pandemic fears as an excuse for mass mail-in voting, that kind of thing?  They’re already talking about all the unrest there will be if Trump wins!

At the end, McLean points out something we’ve long said:  that the chaos on that day had no benefit for Trump --- in fact, hurt him greatly --- but “significantly bolstered the objectives of his adversaries.”  And Milley, who had sworn an oath to obey the President, embarked on a mission to defy him, and “ultimately seems to have sabotaged him…”

For what it’s worth (not much), Pelosi issued a response to the devastating video. It’s a fascinating political artifact in that I’ve seldom seen such a tightly-packed web of deflection, projection, rationalizations and jaw-dropping lies. So it’s the Republicans who are “trying to do revisionist history” about January 6th? I thought we were the ones who were finally trying to figure out what actually happened. Trump supporters were waving “Nazi flags” in the Capitol? And “People were killed, that died one way or another.” Well, one person – unarmed protester Ashli Babbitt – was shot to death at point blank range for no reason by a Capitol cop who’s face zero consequences. There was also a cop who had an unrelated stroke a day later, and others who died weeks or months later from unrelated causes. Are we now counting people who died years later from high cholesterol?

Read it at the link, but again, take your blood pressure medicine first.

RELATED:  As you might know, Jack Smith, the special counsel overseeing both Trump’s “classified documents” case in Florida and his J6 case in DC, had served with the International Criminal Court (ICC) at the Hague, as Investigative Coordinator, and later with an unusual war crimes court dealing with Kosovo, before coming back for this assignment.  The ICC is the same court whose chief prosecutor has just announced he’d seek charges against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes in Gaza.  That should tell you a lot about this group, and it’s not good.

If you’ve wondered why Smith ended up being “the guy” selected (unconstitutionally) to go after President Trump, Judicial Watch has conducted several investigations and put together quite a lot of information about this ruthless prosecutor.  Here’s some background, with informative links.  Thanks, Judicial Watch!
