Did you miss my television show this weekend?
By Mike Huckabee
On my show Huckabee, Rick Leventhal is a veteran news reporter who's been on the scene for some of the biggest stories of the last 35 years and he’s got a brand new book called “Chasing Catastrophe.” Rich Little is back again with ANOTHER presidential impersonation that just might rival his take off on Ronald Reagan. You don’t want to miss it! Since 2005, Leslie King and her organization Sacred Beginnings have served more than 2000 residents in transition homes, and reached more than 20 thousand people through street outreach. Chad Robichaux’s new book, “Saving Aziz,” is the story of the Afghan interpreter who joined him on over a hundred dangerous Marine missions, and the fight to save him and his family from the Taliban after the botched pull-out. Shenandoah is a Grammy-winning country super-group with 26 Billboard chart hits and five #1’s, and they’re currently on their 35th anniversary tour. Catch all this and more on Huckabee!

“Information Warfare” 77 Brigade
By Mike Huckabee
If it’s any consolation, it wasn’t just our government that was colluding with Big Tech and the media to monitor and silence critics of its COVID policies. A British Army whistleblower exposed documents allegedly showing that the British Army’s “information warfare” 77 Brigade targeted politicians and journalists who raised any doubts about government dictates on social media.
For some reason, I keep picturing James Bond smashing through a window and firing six rounds into a little old lady’s laptop.
Real Disposable Income Drops To Near 90 Year Low
By Mike Huckabee
I mentioned last week that the past year’s drop in real disposable income was the biggest since 1932, the worst year of the Great Depression. Most news media outlets are too busy hailing the Joe Biden Economic Miracle to report on that, or any of the other troubling signs in the economy, so it bears repeating. Nick Arama at Redstate.com has more.
A Blood Bath
Trump Administration veterans Mike Pompeo, Nikki Haley and John Bolton have all talked about running for President. If they do, judging by an interview Pompeo gave this weekend, the GOP primary debates are likely to draw blood.
Playing Politics With Investor Money
By Mike Huckabee
For decades, leftwing activists have looked at pension and investment funds the way a hungry dog looks at a steak, just salivating over the very idea of being able to sink their teeth into them. Having already spent federal and blue state taxpayers into a pit of debt with their utopian schemes, they long to grab any other large pile of other people’s money and use it to advance their ends.
Until recently, they have thankfully been thwarted, as most business executives understood that their job was to protect investors’ capital and increase their profits, not promote the left’s idea of “social justice,” which usually means punishing one group who’d done nothing to deserve it in order to reward some other group who’d done nothing to deserve it, other than vote for leftists.
But recently, with the successful leftwing takeover of our universities, and those radicalized graduates infecting the private sector, their long-held dream has started to come true. First with the push for companies to make top priorities of DEI (“diversity, equity and inclusion”…although “DIE” would be more appropriate) and ESG ("environmental, social and corporate governance.") Now, the comptroller of New York City, Brad Lander, is going whole hog by threatening to pull billions in city money out of any fund whose asset managers don’t wholeheartedly embrace his “net zero” climate change “investment strategies.”
Proponents of this claim that “the market has spoken” and asset funds are falling in line to embrace ESG. Except that claim comes from ESG lobbyists and the Democrat politicians they own. I don’t recall telling any investment funds that manage my money that I wanted them to prioritize pushing a radical left agenda over making a profit.
Some will say that Republicans got the government involved first by pulling red state money out of ESG firms. But I’d argue that that’s very different. They’re not trying to force the funds to adopt their political agenda, they’re trying to protect their taxpayers’ money from rogue asset managers who put politics over profits. Democrats like Lander want to play politics with their taxpayers’ money and use it to force asset managers to go rogue and prioritize their political agendas. When they were kids, someone should have spanked their hands when they tried to steal their siblings’ piggy banks and told them, “That’s not your money!”
I could give you a hundred examples of how “Get woke, go broke” became a cliché (for instance, one year ago, Disney’s stock price was $194; now it’s $109.) Would you trust your life savings, or your grandparents' retirement fund, to someone who thinks that ESG and DEI are more important than ROI (return on investment)?
NYC Leans In On CRT
By Mike Huckabee
Fox News obtained some training materials that New York City leaders have made mandatory for all city employees. It’s based on Critical Race Theory, the point of it being that America is built on racism, that there’s no scientific basis for race and it’s a social construct created to divide people into the oppressed and their oppressors, and that everyone city workers deal with should be viewed through this racist CRT lens.
One person who was not happy with having this divisive, racist, anti-American propaganda forced onto city workers called it unfair and said it contradicts the city’s stated claims that city workers should treat everyone equally, not as oppressors or victims based on their skin color.
It’s been said for over a century by many people, including some great black civil rights leaders, that some people make such a good living exploiting racism that if it didn’t exist, they’d have to invent it. So I guess kudos to whoever invented CRT for coming up with not only the most divisive but also perhaps the most lucrative racism-inflaming scam of all time.
Kangaroo Kourt Updates
By Mike Huckabee
In what I hope is a sign that authorities in DC know the people are fed up with two-tiered justice and political prosecutions, all charges have been dropped against Ashli Babbitt’s mother. She was arrested for allegedly blocking a roadway and failing to obey Capitol Police commands during a memorial protest for her daughter, who was shot and killed while unarmed by a Capitol cop during the January 6th riot.
Prosecutors did not give a reason for declining to press the case, but if you read what was caught on video, then compare it to the Antifa/BLM protesters who were let go scot-free in DC while outright rioting, maybe they didn’t want to have to explain to House Republican investigators why they were throwing the book at Ashli Babbitt’s mother for the heinous crime of standing on a public sidewalk.
Related: Jurors deadlocked in the trial of Mark Houck, a pro-life protester facing a possible 11 years in federal prison under the FACE Act for pushing a pro-abortion protester who was yelling at his young son. This case was such a nothingburger that local authorities declined to file charges, but the Merrick Garland-led Biden DOJ is apparently on a mission to abuse its power against political opponents by threatening even elderly and religious pro-life activists with draconian over-prosecutions and prison sentences for daring to protest baby murder.
The jury reconvenes today to try to reach a verdict. If I were on it, I would be arguing for exoneration for Houck and a lengthy prison sentence for Merrick Garland.
Military Strikes In Iran
By Mike Huckabee
Military Strikes In Iran
Saturday night, a number of strategic military sites inside Iran, including an ammunition factory, were hit by drone strikes. The strikes were reportedly launched from inside Iran. Many are blaming Benjamin Netanyahu’s new government of Israel, but Israel isn’t taking responsibility. Maybe Israel was taking out Iran’s ability to supply Russia with weapons to use against Ukraine, and showing Iran that they could attack them from within. Or maybe the strikes were launched by anti-government factions inside Iran, to show the oppressed Iranian people that the Mullahs are more vulnerable than they admit.
The writer Streiff at Redstate.com has a good round-up of possible scenarios, comments, tweets and more to try to figure out what happened and why. Until we know for sure, just be quietly grateful to whoever did it.
Hunter Financially Tied To Chinese Espionage, Sent More "Classified" Email
By Mike Huckabee
As it becomes clearer that Hunter Biden, with his many shady business connections and shall-we-say freewheeling lifestyle, had access to top-secret material in his father’s possession, the question becomes, how did this search for classified documents get started?
Kash Patel, who as lead investigator for Devin Nunes' House Intel Committee and a former Deputy Director of National Intelligence is in a relatively good position to know, examines this in an op-ed at the DAILY CALLER. But first, he dismantles the lip-service given by Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray to “traditions and principles” that in reality have led to a two-tier ‘justice’ system. “As a sitting President and now the target of a criminal investigation,” Patel writes, “Biden has publicly stated ‘there is no there there’ while his personal attorneys are allowed full control of the scene. In what world do we want this to be the traditions and principles of justice, where the accused defines the parameters of the Constitution?”
Patel predicts that many more locations for classified documents will be found, along with more people who had access. But did the librarians at the National Archives actually initiate the search? Really?? Patel says that to understand how the search got started and why it was undertaken in the first place, we can find the answers on Hunter’s laptop.
“Political crime is the Biden family business,” he says. “Covering up those crimes, well, that has been the business of the current DOJ and FBI, along with the media.” Their choice of Robert Hur to serve as the special counsel investigating the Biden documents reflects that. “While serving as the Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General --- the third highest official at the DOJ [EDITORIAL NOTE: Obama attorney Lisa Monaco is second highest] --- Hur blocked congressional subpoenas for the RussiaGate investigation...and argued against the release of the ‘Nunes Memo’ [EDITORIAL NOTE: which turned out to be completely right].”
“This investigation into the handling of these classified documents did not begin in November 2022,” Patel writes. “The timing of the documents is no coincidence. This scandal was perfectly timed and flawlessly revealed with the assistance of the corrupt media.”
He outlines steps that must be taken by the new House Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. These include subpoenaing every last document and financial record, plus pertinent records from the FBI (like 302’s of interviews) and the Secret Service. You can read Patel’s recommendations here…
Recall that Joe Biden, as Vice President, was “point man” on Ukraine while his son was doing business with corrupt Ukrainians, even sitting on the board of one corrupt company, Burisma, that was trying to avoid being investigated. Biden got Ukraine’s head prosecutor fired by threatening to withhold aid. (That’s the same thing Trump was impeached for doing, when it was Biden, not Trump, who actually did it and even bragged about it --- before a live audience and on video!) Steve Hilton, on his Sunday show THE NEXT REVOLUTION, called the corruption exposed by this type of arrangement “the business model of The Swamp” --- the exploitation of public office for personal gain.
Hilton mentioned another issue he’d reported a couple of years ago: the support of the Ukrainian natural gas industry --- companies like Burisma --- while VP Biden and key Democrat senators were trying to shut ours down, along with the fossil fuel industry in general. He showed the money trail...$90,000 from Burisma...to a lobbyist who had been John Kerry’s chief of staff...who passed money to Democrat senators...who pushed Biden for taxpayer aid (!) to Ukraine’s gas industry.
And they got it. In 2014-2016, while Hunter was on Burisma’s board, Joe Biden presided over three separate billion-dollar loan guarantees from U.S. taxpayers to Ukraine. One big question: in this “cash-for-gas” scandal, how many millions of those taxpayer dollars went to Burisma?
Investigative reporter Peter Schweizer, who specializes in following money trails, appeared on the show to point out that it wouldn’t be an adequate defense “politically or legally” to say, “Well, sure, my family got money, but I would have made the same decisions [anyway].” He pointed out the amazing timing of events --- that VP Biden was made point-person on Ukraine policy just three weeks before Hunter was put on Burisma’s board with no energy experience at all.
We would add something that might turn out to be very important: The particular email Miranda Devine found on Hunter’s laptop that appeared to incorporate a classified briefing on Ukraine was from that exact period. Hunter was angling to get on the board then. THE GATEWAY PUNDIT analyzed the 22 points of information in this email and concluded it must have been classified. And now they say there’s a second such email. Details here; a must-read...
Schweizer brought up a new piece of information, about one of Burisma’s investors who was a beneficiary of that money. This is a Ukrainian oligarch named Ihor Kolomoisky who happens to have been the chief financial backer for now-President Zelenskyy.
(Side note: Interestingly, we found that they’re not on the best of terms now, as Zelenskyy reportedly has taken steps to strip him of his citizenship, given that he also has passports from Israel and Cyprus. For when you have time and want to learn more about Ukrainian oligarchs, here’s the link...)
Anyway, even with all the Ukrainian corruption, Schweizer would like to see Kentucky Rep. James Comer, head of the House Oversight Committee, place more of the focus on the Bidens’ interests in China, “because this, I think, is truly frightening,” he said, “and I don’t say that lightly.” All the Chinese executives who greenlighted those deals with the Bidens had links to the highest levels of Chinese intelligence.
For example, Schweizer learned from Hong Kong financial and corporate records that an executive who helped Hunter get into an investment fund that netted him around $20 million was also business partners with the Vice Minister of State Security in China. His responsibility: foreign espionage. No, really!
Okay, one more example: An executive who wired $5 million to Hunter had taken it out of an account he shared with the daughter of the former Minister of State Security. This man “ran the entire spy apparatus of China,” Schweizer said.
“There’s no discernible business service that Hunter Biden performed for any of that money.”
You can’t tell me that the CCP didn’t have its spies all around Joe Biden and his classified files --- certainly at the Penn Biden Center, which was funded indirectly by Chinese money, and probably in other locations as well, even at his home.
That brings us to a key development in the story, from the NEW YORK POST. According to experts and leaked cellphone texts from 2018 with then-assistant Katie Dodge, it’s apparent that Hunter Biden was turning his father’s home into “a high-powered and possibly [POSSIBLY?] compromised home office, wheeling and dealing with some of the same nations whose names have turned up in classified documents recently discovered at the home.”
Recall that the Bidens had been setting up an office at a DC complex called House of Sweden, but that lease was up in February 2018.
Security experts cited for the story called this arrangement “outrageous” and “a glaring security risk.” Information operations consultant Jim Hanson said, “Having access to U.S. classified material makes it much easier to leverage your business operations. You know things others don’t know or can’t know. That’s a very distinct possibility.”
“He’s a degenerate junkie cavorting with foreign prostitutes. How could that go wrong in a place where a bunch of documents are stashed everywhere?”
Former FBI Warren Flagg said, “Hunter is a wild card...there’s a plethora of unconfirmed possibilities here which would be detrimental to this entire situation. How many people have access to the house? It is a zoo.”
Nick Arama at REDSTATE reports something new, about another aspect to Biden’s possession of classified documents. Authorities also seized handwritten notebooks detailing official business from when he was VP. If he wrote about or copied any classified information into the notebooks, then they’re classified, too. So, Biden “took classified documents seriously”? He was “surprised” that classified material was there?
Final note: Dick Morris says he anticipates seeing documents about the “big [Ukrainian] bribery scandal involving the Vice President and his son” and that this will “knock him out of the 2024 race.”
“That’s going to be the absolute end of it for Biden,” he added. Morris doesn't say it, but we will: This shouldn't even BE news now. The FBI knew it was true before he was even elected, but they kept it quiet. And that might be the biggest scandal of all.
